Had Some Issues

My initial surprise was the fact that the speaker is not totally "wireless". There is a power cord that must be plugged into a wall outlet. I did not see this requirement advertised on the Best Buy web site or in any of the information I looked at on the Sony web site prior to my purchase. This made set-up in my living room awkward for me due to how the room is arranged. Just be prepared to deal with this issue. I also had issues setting it up with my sound bar. When I called Sony customer support I was informed that given the serial number I provided the speaker was out of warranty. (I guess it must has sat on Best Buy's shelf to long). Given the fact I had just purchased it, Sony agreed to help me and I did get it working. The speaker itself performs well and the sound quality is good. The speaker also sets up on my home WiFi network and can be used with other devices. Overall, after my initial frustration, I am satisfied.

I paired two of these speakers with a Sony HT-NT5 soundbar. The setup was trivial and the resulting sound is very good. The speakers are small enough not to be an eyesore in the home decor and yet powerful enough to produce a great surround experience. One thing to note: once you pair them with your soundbar, all other functions it can perform are switched off. That was not a problem for me, but I can see how this could disappoint other buyers.

Good Sound with Many Setup Options

I primarily use a pair of these as rear speakers with my Sony sound bar and they sound good. Almost like true surround. When listening to music for the New Years party I set them up for multi-room with my sound bar and streamed music with song pal (aka Google play music). Sounds even better playing music. I like the many different input and setup options. Playing music from phone or echo dot sounds much better than the other BT speaker I own. They should sound better since they cost a lot more. They are expensive and if I did want Sony speakers to match with my Sony sound bar I probably would not have purchased these. Buying two at once saved $100 off the price of buying them individually and with all the set up options it was worth the price for me. Instructions that came with for setting up multi-room did not work. I figured out that using Google Home app to set speaker group resolved the issue.

I bought this speaker as an accessory for my flat screen tv in my living room. I have learned that flat screen tv speakers oftentimes do not last as long as the tv itself so the extra speaker is actually used to replace the tiny speakers on the tv. The speaker is well made and small enough to fit on the same table that the tv is set upon. I used an hdmi cable to hook the speaker up to the tv. As long as the tv is compatible, hooking up the speaker with hdmi only takes a second. Just plug it in. When the speaker is in use, the tv speakers are not. They shut off. I don't know a lot about speakers so it's hard to evaluate the sound. I find it to be okay. It suits my needs. I can't complain. I bought the speaker on sale. So far, so good.

Got a couple of these speakers to network with google home. These speakers have every connection type, Bluetooth , wifi, chromecast, hmdi, aux input. Read many reviews. Were comparable to Sonus sound quality wise but has more connection types. Bought them on sale and put them on the BB card to get additional $ off. Very very pleased. Plan on buying a few more and putting them all over the house.

Easy to set up and the pair sounds great when watching movies. The HTNT-5 sound bar connected easily and sounds OK but does tend to kick off on its own when connected through the ARC.

With the recent price drop from $200 to $100 these guys are great. I have them paired to my Sony sound bar and they really complete the package. Are they amazing? Nope. Are they are great compliment to the sound bar. Yes!

I utilize two of these in unison with a sounder to create wireless surround. The sound is clear but when used as wireless surround, the volume is lower than I would like. It would be nice if they would blow you away if you so choose.

Bought two of these rear speakers to pair with our new Sony HTNT5 sound bar. Setup was so easy, and the surround sound quality is crisp and clear. Had these wall mounted, no speak wire to deal with, power cable was routed through the wall and plugged into outlets behind the wall. Sound can be adjusted via the remote through the TV, has some cool setup features.

I bought these speakers as an accent to the sound bar I purchased. They are excellent for creating a 5.1 surround out of a sound bar. They pack a punch and are incredibly easy to sync with the Sony sound bar. I'd purchase them again in a heartbeat. One awesome feature is how they wirelessly sync with my phone so I can play music and not drain my phone battery.

Speaker works well on stereo mode for music works well in pairs of 2. The whole concept behind it adding them to additional rooms like the Sonos systems is cool and a lot cheaper. However the sound quality is so so this model don't offer the hi res up scaling feature like my sound bar has the Sony HTNT5. The surround sound features with the wonky HTNT5 are where these speakers fall off terribly the audio is low and isn't the quality I'd expect it to be for a setup for a surround sound especially for the price it lacks depth and clarity and volume. And there is only basic settings to adjust those features. I've added the details into the review of the HTNT5 as it pertains to a surround sound system already see that review. But if your using it on music it's a winner it'll give you what you need and you add as many of these as you like to different rooms through out your home to give it a real nice vibe I hope to see a subwoofer add on soon so you can place one in a different location that would be an awesome addition cmon Sony make that for us enthusiasts. Those on the fence get them cause they are cheaper then the Sonos systems and offer hdmi outputs on all the speakers something Sonos don't

Love the sound. It was relatively easy to setup. BB even knocked off $100 when I bought the pair, so I got both for $300. This was the perfect way to complete my surround sound setup with the Sony HTNT5 2.1 sound bar.

I got these surround sound speakers thinking it was going to really blow me out of my socks. But these speakers only pick up the back noise which is not exactly what I was looking for. Really doesn’t amplify the already sound and give me more bass. I was looking for a fire. I got some matches:/ oh well I still like them
