I bought the Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra because I was looking for a phone with a large screen and with good front and back cameras. This phone does not disappoint . It takes beautiful photos and is well built for the price. The only thing missing from this phone is a fingerprint scanner. I think Sony developed a great device and I wish they would add this edge to edge screen to their premium smartphones. I am in love with this phone and would love it in the future to see new improvements from Sony's smartphone line.

My Sony xperia xa1 ultra was awesome.. Loved it. But the charging part on phone broke in just 3 weeks! I was never tough with it and was shocked it stopped charging. To make things worse, best buy told me no xa1 ultra were available.. All sold out and discontinued as well.

Works perfectly on the T-Mobile network. Easy to read and surf with the screen size and I'm impressed with the pictures it takes. The battery life is better than expected! This Sony does not have the bells and whistles (No wireless or fast charging, not waterproof, no fingerprint sensor) but for the money, I'll take this simple and functional phone any day. As a matter of fact, get this on sale and you can buy 2 of these for less than some of the overpriced ones out there. I did notice some Wi-Fi connectivity issues but the latest Android update fixed it. I am very pleased with this phone.

I purchased this phone as a replacement for a stolen Sony Xperia XA Ultra. This version is even better than the original. I got the phone because I wanted a big screen to watch videos. The camera takes great pictures and videos, as expected from Sony. The phone holds a charge pretty well with moderate use. Calls are clear. Game play is great because of the big screen. If you are looking for a phone for basic calling, gaming and a great camera, this is the one. I recommend getting a memory card because the high quality videos will take up a lot of space. Don't forget a screen protector and case as well. I have dropped the phone already and would have hated to see that crack on my phone instead of the screen protector.

After spending good years as a Galaxy user I decided to try something different. The Sony Xperia xa1 ultra is the best phone I've ever had. The camera and display are great and it processes faster than my computer. It's perfect for anyone who does EVERYTHING on their phone.

Bought this so I could fly my Mavic. It needs a home button on the front to get out of apps easier. It's very hard to find a good fitting screen protector. It's not nearly as bright as my j7 Samsung.

I choose this phone because of the size. I have big hands and bad eyes so a big screen is a must. I trust Sony and I didn't want to pay a arm and a leg for a phone. I finally paid off my LG through Att and I wanted to try a unlocked phone. The phone is fairly solid but it's very slippery and fairly light. I HIGHLY recommend a case and screen protector. The phone comes with Android 7.0 and is very responsive. Call signal is better then my LG v10 and battery life is very impressive. It comes with a ultra battery saving mode but I haven't tried that yet. The pixel density is a bit low but you'll never notice except in low resolution videos. Pictures look great and HD videos look great. I like that the phone comes with a fm radio and supports SwiftKey keyboard out of the box. I wish the Sony was a bit more customizable but that's a minor point. All in all I recommend this phone if you want a large screen and no contract pricing.

The XA 1 Ultra is definitely an Android phone with a great front and back camera that give clear and beautiful pictures. The phone also does great when watching movies or playing games. The speaker is loud and can usually still be heard in loud areas. I currently use this phone through T-Mobile and have yet to have any problems

good product, battery life is great, but its so complicated when receiving a call you have to choose what output for the audio every now and then, picture is not really great given it is a 23 mp... my samsung edge 6+ 12 mp are way better than this, takes long to open camera. great for watching movies or playing games because of the wide screen and it doesnt drain fast.

Absolutely love this phone. The only problem is I have small hands so one handed use was difficult. And thereby aren’t many choices for cases

If you are used to flagship phones then you will feel the downgrade. In my case, this was for my dad. Great battery life, great photos in light. If you are on a budget and like big phones, this is a great option.

I always wanted to try Sony experia phones, specially for their cameras because I take a lot of pictures due to my work, I bought one for my son about 5 months ago and he love it. My phone ( BLU ) was locked after an update and I needed a phone right away. I didn't hesitate to go straight to best buy and bought me one, thanks God I did it because I love it...

The size screen is amazing. Loved the large area to see everything. I was coming from the Xperia X phone which I found is much better than the XA1 Ultra for two main reasons. First the screen is larger, sure, but it isn't as crisp. Sitting side by side you can clearly see the text and graphics are much crisper than on the XA1 to a point they almost looked muddy. The second and the reason I returned the phone was the audio issues. I usually use earbuds to talk on the phone while I drive but I couldnt do it on the XA1 Ultra because the person talking was almost shrill in my ear! Yes I tried changing options in the audio set up but it didn't help. Most of the audio options were for the music output anyhow and not phone calls. I went back to my Xperia X and can talk (and hear) just fine again.

First off the phone is massive and feels nice in your hand. Coming from an S7 this phone compares similar in performance but not the screen. The screen is nice on most things but i have noticed that it is sometimes washed out looking. Not sure if i got a bad one or what but other than that it is pretty good. Battery life is ok but not that great and the cameras are fantastic. It is a cool phone but I would stick with a galaxy.
