I love this little unit. I bought the Taupe/Wooden Choice and like the color, slim style, and features. The bluetooth, dual alarm clock feature (with multiple setting options), usb charging port, and ability to plug in non-bluetooth devices via 3.5 jack on back of unit are great, too. I especially like the option to dim the display although, this is the first alarm clock I've owned that is not super bright to be a problem when sleeping at night. So, I can actually keep time dimmed, but visible, with no trouble. It's also super simple to operate -- easiest I've eve owned. Only minor thing that it's missing (and I do miss feature) is month/date. Other than that, it meets all my needs and exceeded my expectations! Wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

After doing some research for a good but simple radio-alarm, this is what I picked, and I'm so glad I did. It is so much more than the standard radio-alarm that I have always had in my bedroom. Someone actually understood ergonomics, style, and functionality when they designed this. I love the wood and the small footprint, and I needed the antennae for better reception where I am (which is why I felt I needed a new radio alarm in the first place). Besides radio, it's great to have the USB and bluetooth options as well as charging capability. Dual alarms, display dimming, and gradual volume when the alarm goes off are all great features - it doesn't jolt me out of sleep. I really like that you can set the alarm volumes separately from the main listening volume. The audio quality is much better than cheap radio alarms, but not as good as some mini stereo systems (which typically aren't alarms).

The sound from the speakers are good for the size. The added usb port is great for charging any cellphone or other usb device. The size of the display should be a little larger. The battery backup should use rechargeable AAA instead of lithium button-type batteries which are pricey and non-rechargeable.

Saw this advertised on the local news during the c-net broadcast. It has quite a few great features--Bluetooth so I can listen to music from my iPhone, dual alarms that can be set for the weekday instead of everyday and the charging capability.

This is a great take on / update to an old concept (Alarm Clock-Radio). I use it in my office. I particularly like the ability to use it as a charging station for my phone, the bluetooth functionality, and the multiple levels of dimmability for the digital clock.

I love Soundfreaq products, which have excellent sound quality and are built to last. This is another I was happy to add to my collection. Highly recommended!

This a solid, modern alarm clock. The sound is great from the Bluetooth speakers. I appreciate the dual alarms and love the control of the brightness. The usb charging port also comes in handy.

Really had to search for a decent alarm clock with great sound and Bluetooth connectivity. This one fits the bill perfectly...A bit more pricy than I would have liked but the sound makes up for it when compared to other tinny alarm clocks.

Easy to set up, easy to see display with excellent options for dimming, sounds great, small footprint, aesthetically pleasing. Though, we don't use all of the features (bluetooth/charging/input) we love it. That said, please be aware Soundfreaq Sound Rise Wood + Taupe (SFQ-08WT) does NOT automatically handle Daylight Saving Time. You will not find this fact listed in any product description or list of features, nor in the user guide. We discovered this today (03/08/15) when ours did not change time by itself. A quick search through support questions on the manufacturer website found an answer confirming the lack of automatic DST adjustment feature. We may not have made this purchase had we known. After the months we spent researching the perfect replacement solution for our old Sony clock radio (with auto DST), we are just a bit dismayed we didn't realize this feature was missing. While we no longer consider our Sound Rise to be the perfect solution, we obviously have no one to blame but ourselves, and we still like everything else about it.

Nice unit. Small but sounds good. Took a little to get use to because instructions are somewhat vague. Very happy with my purchase.

my only other request is that the radio had AM as well

Even for a mono speaker the sound on this unit is great. There are three eq settings one for more bass, more treble or mid. Good value for the price. Try it out.
