Sometimes the receiver switch into different mode like video without selecting mode and while listening to radio.

Needed to upgrade my stock radio but also with a small budget. The radio is pretty good and basic. I know of the brand because of an amp my brother had in the early 2000's, which he was really satisfied with. So I figure I give this a try. The features are pretty straight foward. The only compliants I have with it is 1) when the CD is playing and I click to go yo the home screen, it pauses the CD player and plays when it goes back to the CD screen. It would be great if I could browse the menu and still here music. 2) I have to be in the AVIN screen to use my aux and its just a blue screen. It would of been good if the aux was integrated into the bluetooth screen, cd/dvd screen or at least have the wallpaper on the AVIN screen when using. 3) It would make the radio more appealing if the usb port had a cover. It would make it look more "clean" The bluetooth function is great. The mic is on the radio face and was told that when using hands free, its clear and sounds as if I'm using my phone as normal. All in all, this radio is a good basic radio. I love is simplicity and the the usb & aux inputs are on the front face of the radio.

I wish I could give you a review but the tech at best buy told me that I had purchased a piece of crap and he would not recommend me installing the radio in my vehicle

The hands free microphone is junk! When my fiance' calls me from the car and she's using the hands free Bluetooth in the car stereo, I have a very hard time understanding her. Don't rely on the hands free Bluetooth feature. The Unit has to be reset often which clears out all of your settings and you have to start over. It seems to do it more during the winter months. The DVD player seems to work fine although we haven't used it much or watched an entire movie on it but it sounds amazing in our 2003 KIA Optima with the Infinity sound system. Installation was easy just make sure you buy the correct wiring harness for easier wiring and so that you don't have to cut your original wiring harness. I used bullet connectors to connect the Soundstream wiring harness to the Metra wiring harness #NeatInstallation - DIY The display and touch screen are nice - good display. We don't use the remote much but it seems to work fine. Overall, for the price, this is a nice unit. I got it on sale for about $120.00. Back in the 90's, you couldn't get a unit like this from a company loke Soundstream for under $1,000.00. I don't know how they make money selling it so cheap. We've owned our unit for about 1 year now and so far so good. Buy it!
