This sub slaps! The break in process took more than a week because of how beefy it is. My setup consists of the dual 2ohm wired in parallel with 2 pairs of 12 gauge feeding it. Powered by the pioneer 1600w mono and sitting pretty in a probox.

Best decision made wish I had room for two running 1 ohm

This subwoofer as well as most, needs a large enclosure to perform as well as you need. The mounting depth is accurate in the specs of this product. I have a 2.5 cubic foot ported enclosure tuned for 46-58 hz and it is seismic. This reboot from the late-era competitive sound days holds high to its roots. Soundstream has always been a great brand but the T5 12.2 is everything a sound guy wanted from this mobile earthquake.

I wasnt sure when i bought this due to some of the quality from soundstream. This sub is one of the best ive owned. Great sound and hits hard. I did have some issues at first with getting it wired correctly but once i did i was more then happy with the result

I was shopping around for a new 12in sub and found the sound stream 12in tarantula i was skeptical about the sound but once it was hooked up to my amp i fell in love with the sound and bass it puts out love it one of my best purchases made so far

I bought this because I wanted bass I could feel but do not have much space in my truck so I bought this Turrantula 12 and paired it with the kicker 1200.1 and holy moly it gives you a back massage. And mind you I have this in the small sealed box that, Best Buy sells and it sounds so clean and still hits hard. And yes I tried it in the recommended 2.1 ported box tuned to 31hz as well and though it gets a little louder but just doesn't sound as good. Trust me if you need some good low end but are tight on space then this is the jam!

It’s takes longer than usual to break in, but once it does, it’ll blow you away. Very high quality subwoofer and highly recommend.

I needed a quality subwoofer that would do well in my extended cab pickup. I've been a fan of soundstream amps for years and their subs are just as well built and good looking as any any of their equipment I've run in the past. At 1 ohm, this thing kicks like a mule and sounds/feels great. Required less air space than other 12" subs I looked at so fit my application well. Was surprised to see it offered at Best Buy and for such a great price. Now I need a canopy so I can get a dozen of these...lol. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend to a friend or to purchase again in the future. Awesome sub!

This sub pounds.... Well built dual voice coil two or four ohm options

If you know what you are doing when putting everything together this subwoofer sounds amazing. I'm using a 1200 watt boss rampage to power this thing. It's not the greatest amp but if you know what you're doing it's great. I used the rockford 4 AWG amp wiring kit from amazon, the Metra 12" sealed subwoofer box from best buy, paired with a kenwood aftermarket double din stereo head and used the Metra Gm battery terminal to tie it all together. I do audio installs as well on my spare time. Contact me if you need any advice on how to do it yourself.

Pushing these with the AudioControl LC-1.1500 mono sub amp that i blew both a pair of JBLs and Memphis Audio subs with. These subs handle it nicely. I do get a very faint voice coil smell at very high volumes but they absolutely bump. They also fit in my custom 2 door JK Wrangler box and are probably the strongest and biggest subs you can fit in a 2 door JK.
