South Shore bookshelf is a very nice looking low cost bookshelf. Do need 2 people to put together

the bookcase looks nice and set up fairly easy. the bookshelf box that it came in was very heavy, some muscle was needed to bring it in to assemble it, but we liked it very much after we put it together, we left off the card board backing

I purchased this bookshelf with the main intent of holding my blu ray, dvd, games, and books. It was very easy to put together only taking 6 total steps. It looks very nice as well and has adjustable shelves. Well done product!

South Shore - 5-Shelf Bookcase - Royal Cherry may not be the best quality but it's the best bang for your buck. I utilized price match and got a great bargain. I would highly recommend this product.

I was impressed with the look of the bookcase. Normally, these types of cases can look fake and cheap but it actually has a good look. The wood is sturdy and the bookcase itself does not wobble. I bought this to replace another fake wood bookcase I had for years that was broken during a move. I paid more for that years ago then I did this one and this is definitely better quality. And it was surprisingly very easy to put together as well. I had it up in 30 minutes. I am happy with my purchase!

This bookcase was well constructed and easy to put together.

When this arrived by UPS, both of the long boards were cracked. Bummer. We opened box and noticed cracked boards on a Sunday morning. We called the company phone number on the instruction sheet and they were open, WOW. Lady on phone asked what boards were damaged and said she will ship new ones out asap free, no problem. New ones came 5 days later in perfect condition. Bookcase looks great, very sturdy. Going to purchase a few more items from them to finish the same look in the kids room.

The bookcase looks good, but the shelves will bend easily.

Four weeks after assembly, the shelves are bending, and I have had to move hard-back textbooks and full binders elsewhere. (But that is what I wanted this for. Should be warning in description.)

This product is not very large and it quite heavy.

Overall I would recommend this bookshelf. I got it on sale, and it was a good value. Cherry finish is nice; my only complaint was that there were some marks on the finish, but that can be worked around by planning ahead which side you have facing up when you assemble it.

We love the rich dark chocolate brown wood and the clean lines. These bookcases have a very classy look and really make the books stand out. They hold quite a few books and give plenty of distance within the shelves for different size books. I only wish that I had more wall space, to add lots more of them!

The shelves look rather unstable, like they may collapse at some point from the weight of all the books (even after I took off the heaviest books). Kind of ridiculous, because the point of getting this was to hold all my books! Since it was so inexpensive though I plan to keep it. I hope it will last at least a few years.
