Well I believe it is all A’s on this gift. Expensive but you pay for what you get. Awesome photos, and clarity when video chatting. He loves it and has earned it with getting A’s and B’s on his report card. I do recommend this phone for teenagers. So far so good. Also got the warranty so no worries for this Grandma!

Full disclosure, my family (wife and two kids, all with phones) tends to migrate directly to Speck cases in general when new phones are purchased, or old cases just have taken a beating and need to be updated, so this wasn’t exactly going off the ranch for us. We have three Speck cases currently in use, and have grown to trust them pretty heavily in regard to protecting our phone investments. This new case was for my daughter, the proud new owner of an iPhone XR, and this case was her second. She initially bought a Speck XR Presidio clear case as she bought a lemon yellow phone and, well, wanted to show off her new lemon yellow phone. Over the first few months, she bought stickers to decorate the case, and pretty soon seeing through it was a useless/moot point. She liked the feel and look of the new XR silicone case, but we were a bit hesitant to leave the known phone protection we knew a Speck case offered (and that we tested thoroughly, as if phone dropping were our jobs). After doing some research, we read that the new XR Presidio Pro was often compared to the look and feel of the silicone case, and we were sold. We got the Carbon Blue (goes great with yellow), and out of the box, you could see that the form factor was a home run. The case definitely has some body to it that provides that same comfort of protection, but without any real noticable bulk. The case architecture allows it to still maintains as slim a profile to the phone as possible, but with protection design features like the raised bezel (which has been a staple of why we have been purchasing Speck for years), a recessed cutout that protect the camera, and a series of soft ridges (or crash zones as they advertise) around the interior perimeter that hold the phone firmly in place while providing a buffer for phone drops. The cutouts around the perimeter for the power button and volume rocker as well as the plug/headphone jack and speaker array at the bottom all allow access without struggle. As I noted at the outset, my daughter really liked the look and feel of the silicone cases on the market, and this model of Speck case pulled that off really well. I was personally anticipating something too slick that I would lose a grip on, or that would jam up when I tried to stuff it into a pocket, but it was exactly the opposite. It felt comfortable to the grip, and slid effortlessly into my jeans. The anti-microbial treatment is a plus, if that type of thing is important to you, but that really hasn’t been an issue for us as a family in the past, we tend to put our phones through a lot for what we spend on them, and good cases like Speck tend to weather that proudly while the phone stays in pristine shape. All the function and aesthetic came as promised and then some (as usual), my only gripe (my daughter’s, actually) is that the case would hold fingerprints too well that were hard to remove. Not a terrible trade-off for all the good we found with it, quite honestly. Speck has done it again, and as long as they continue to deliver on the promise of keeping our investments protected (while looking cool, of course), they will continue to find ardent fans like my family.

I bought the iPhone XR for several reasons: Cost, Size, and Color. The last one I realize is probably the least important in the real world, but I love having the Product Red color on my phone. Up until now I have been using Apple's own clear case to show off the color but I have grown to really hate the smooth feel and the unfortunate camera bump that is not 'smoothed out' by the case and so it wobbles on the desk. I have always liked Speck cases and have owned probably 10 different cases over the years for my phones, iPads, and MacBooks. Not a single one has let me down and I don't think the Presidio Pro will either. The reason I didn't get one right away for my XR was that there wasn't anything else out at the time the XR just came out and I really wanted to show off the red color since all my other phones have been black or silver. While this Carbon Black/Eclipse Blue is the best out of the color choices that were available at Best Buy, I would have loved it if they had the black and red (or heart rate red/vermillion red as they call it on their website). If I could have gotten that color, I would be a very happy man because I love the tactile and grippy feel of the Presidio Pro and the lack of any camera bump wobble since the back of the case is flat. All-in-all this is a great case and it will do a great job protecting my investment in my iPhone because at the price these things are going for nowadays, I'm going to be holding on to this one for a while.

I've been an iPhone user for 8+ years, My wife had been using Samsung's until this year when I convinced her to get a iPhone XR. She's been through 2 folding, card holding cases, in a little over 18 mos (break apart, get dirty, look crummy). Well, I convinced her to try the Speck Presidio Pro, as it's very sleek and much protective than what's she been using. With some reluctance she agrees that it's easier to hold than her old case(s). I told her about the Antimicrobial technology, and I was greeted by a mumble about not being dirty. It's easy to charge her iPhone XR in the case and it sounds better, the thickness of the bottom case wall, slightly amplifies the sound vs her old case. And she feels safer knowing the phone should survive a drop the the floor (not going to test the 10' claim). And surprisingly she really likes the Deep Eclipse blue color. So we really do have a winner here, especially when it's on sale!

I have used the Speck Presidio Pro case for my iPhone XR for a week; serendipitously, I had been using the Otterbox Commuter case for a week before I received the Speck, so I was able to compare both. The Speck case is sleek and attractive, and I was able to put it to the test pretty quickly when it accidentally fell onto the sidewalk. It did get a small scuffmark on the corner of the case, and my phone has a tiny scratch where it was not covered by the case. Overall, I felt that the Speck case did its job. It’s also quite a bit slimmer than the Otterbox case, making it easier to slip into a back pocket. However, because of the Otterbox’s more rugged design (keeping in mind this is the slimmer Commuter case, not the bulky Defender), it just feels hardier than the Speck case. It’s easier to grip and hold in my hand, possibly because the Speck case does not have any rubberized bumpers on the sides of the case; it only has them on the corners. Unlike the Otterbox, the Speck also does not feature a cover tab for the charging port. Pros: - Slim design - Adequately protects phone from drops Cons: - More slippery to hold - No charging port cover Overall, this case does a fine job protecting the iPhone XR and has a slim, aesthetically pleasing design to boot. Personally I prefer a case that’s a little bit more rugged, but I believe this Speck case will satisfy most XR users.

iPhone cases aren’t an option when you think about the cost of replacing or repairing a broken device. As long as you’re gonna buy one, it ought to be as protective as possible. The Speck - Presidio Pro Case for Apple offers: — nicely raised bezel to give my screen a better chance of surviving a drop — a shock absorbing shell that is fairly slim but still provides confidence that it's rugged enough. — a soft touch feel that improves my grip without interfering with pocketing my phone. — my black/blue color model looks professional but discrete — openings and buttons are precision cut and make using my phone easier — Speck is describing the material as anti-microbial. After just recovering from my mid-summer cold, I’m happy to know that. I’d love to share an exciting phone survival story, but, nope, I didn’t get the case to add drama to my life, but to minimize it. Nice case. Highly recommended.

Anti-microbial case has a secure feel in hand. SPECK looks nice as well as providing all around protection from accidental drops or falls. The lip on the front face is perfect to protect my screen from scratches when I place it face down. The side buttons work well. I especially like that I can now use my wireless charging capability without having to remove the phone's case. (My previous case blocked the electromagnetic induction coil's operation).

The case is a good fit for an everyday use situation. While the packaging states that it’s rated for a 10ft drop I did test some short drops onto a table (no more than 3 feet) and found it protected well with no dents or scratches, but did not test its full capabilities. Color and size are good being that it’s not too bulky and doesn’t hinder the profile of the phone too much. I did notice that the material is kinda slippery compared to the Speck case I had on the phone previously (see pics) this cause some slippage in handling but not so much as to render it useless. I did notice one abnormality in the fit on the phone where the volume buttons were the case kind of pulls away leaving a gap. It’s small but noticeable. (See pic) other than that the case is decent middle of the road case for anyone looking to protect their phone without using a super bulky ultra protective case.

Bought this case for my new XR (which I totally hate but that's for a different review) to accompany an also new Zagg screen protector. Case leaves plenty of room for the protector, plenty of space for the Lightning charger to pass through and access to side Silence button. Protection seems pretty serious, maybe a little bit too much for my need but that also could be the size/weight of the complete package (phone, screen protector, and case) is still little shocking to me. To give you an idea - I ride thousands of miles on my bicycles and always have my phone tucked in a jersey pocket. This thing (totally package) is so bulky that I am really apprehensive to now carry it with me at all - just giant! BUT, if protecting your phone is your #1 goal..... you can't go wrong with this case. It has a nice feel in your hand(s), not slippery but just the right amount of grip to stay put and does not stick to the inside of your pockets like other rubber/silicone cases will.

This case is nice and light yet protects the phone against damage. The salesperson told us it is the one they have and was able to protect the phone even when it was dropped. It is reasonably priced and was easy to install.

This case fits perfect on my new iPhone XR it’s durable and not to bulky so it fits easily into your pocket. I am very happy with this case and would recommend it.

I don't like bulky cases so this works well for me even though overall the phone/case is a bit bigger than my iPhone 8. This was reasonable priced and doesn't add much bulk or weight to the phone while providing more protection than some of the other slim cases.

I needed a "quick" case since I just purchased my phone. I didn't like the cases at the phone store so I went to Best Buy. I found this Speck case and it was only to be temporary. It has been about a month now and I still really like the look and feel of the case. I have dropped it once and no issues with the case or phone so it has already done its job. I then ordered another case and will be returning it as it didn't look as nice (and was a little slippery) as this Speck case. Highly recommend and the price wasn't bad either.

It has a nice feel to the case. It would not slip out of your hand easy. I like the hard plastic on the ends to protect from drops.

This case fits like a glove and offers good protection for the XR. It provides enough gripe so the phone doesn’t slip out of your hand.

Needed a case not too bulky but at the same time protective and this case feels very snug.

Good case from many perspectives - offers 10 feet of drop protection (you could drop it from the top of an NBA basketball goal, although probably not recommended) , has a good feel and grip, very easy to place on the phone. The case supports wireless charging. The case is said to offer bacterial resistance but its unclear how (or if) it achieves this. A good value for the price.
