Not the best spider-man but still a decent movie

This movie was a decent movie but if you compare it with the second movie, the 2nd one will take the cake 9 times out of 10 because of how the Spider-man plot is. I personally liked the actions scenes in this one way better than in 2 since spiderman versus Doc Oc wasn't as good of action as this one. However, with all the twists with Venom and the Sandman and MJ, this movie had too much involved which made the movie last longer and have long periods with no action (which made it seem a lot longer than it was). Overall... it's a good movie that doesn't really tie everything together. If you like Spiderman, this is a must get. If you don't, you aren't going to enjoy this either way so save your time and money.

    Typical Spider-man movie

Spider-man 3 offers the same typical action and enemies that you see in the first two. I did enjoy the movie, but I went to the premier expecting to see something that would blow me away and keep me talking about it for a long period of time. That wasn't the case nonetheless it was still a solid movie although it had the boring parts with grandma talking about who knows what because eventual you just tune her out. Action scenes were similar to the other two still very great and of course adding venom to the movie does make it more exciting. Typical spider-man if you own both might as well make a complete set if you just rent them give it a go worth the entertainment value.

3 of 3, fun and extremely entertaining movie!

Spider-Man 3 is a fun movie. Sadly, this was Tobey Maguire's final time being Spider-Man. Awesome with bringing the concept of Harry Osborn becoming the second Green Goblin. Very cool to bring Venom and the Sandman in the movie. Amazing that the story of Peter Parker donning the black suit appears in it. Sam Raimi ruined Eddie Brock. In the comics, Eddie Brock is a tough guy before becoming Venom and he truly was Peter Parker's business rival. In the movie, Eddie Brock is still Peter Parker's business rival and he was a whiney weakling before becoming Venom.

    dont get it

if you give a movie a 3/5 star rating, you can either give it a Yes or No for reccomending, i say NO. peter parker, Stop Narrarating. in almost every fight scene, you can spot a few moments where peter is completely animated so it makes the movie look like shrek. if sam raimi directs the fourth spider-man, he better darken it up like batman begins, or do something with it. spidey turns all emo in this installment and thats both good and bad. the bad is, he is emo, and when hes trying the charm all the chicks, hes embarrasing himself. the good is the scene in the jazz club. the sandman does a pretty good job, but just gets plain stupid in the fight. topher graces 'venom' only appears for the final battle which was dissapointing, and on top of that, he barely makes appearances as eddy brock in the news room. venom does look pretty awsome, though. marry jane is still boring and peter parker needs to stop crying. this is the longest spider-man yet but not the best by any meens. harry comes back, but as hobgoblin-whatever that means. harry does do pretty good in this even if he does act like a little kid in some parts. but theres one more thing that bothers me along with the countless flaws of this movie, why cant harry believe peter. i mean come on, his dad was the green goblin and peter is spider-man. why cant he accecpt that he was trying to kill peter. in other words, harry is an idiot. so when turns all emo, he finally gets tired of convincing harry of the truth and does something that noone expected. this movie may look great on blu-ray, but is not great overall. the only reason i own it is because it came with my ps3. and note to sam raimi and all the filmakers: if your gonna have all these villains and character changes, take advantage of the situation other than just throwing a bunch of stuff together because you had money.

    Spider-Man 3

I went out and bought this DVD the day it came out, because I had liked it so much when I saw it in the theater. However, over subsequent viewings my opinion of it lowered. The action sequences, especially the Spider-Man / New Goblin fight near the start, were unbelievable and the storyline was exciting. The main thing that irritated me about this movie (and the other two Spider-Man movies) was the lackluster, soap-opera romance stuff that seemed to drag on forever. The character development was too scattered. Finally, there was too much dumb humor. Even the DVD itself was lacking special features.

    The Battle Within...

The first Spider-Man movie was very well done. It's predecessor, Spider-Man 2, was even better, ranking as one of the best superhero movies ever made. But what about Spider-Man 3? Does it rise to the occasion and join the other two films to form a solid superhero trilogy? Some may beg to differ, but my answer is yes. There are several reasons for this answer, the first of which is the action. The action sequences and fight scenes aren't terribly new or groundbreaking, but are still on parr with the first two films and are fun to watch. Venom, Sandman, and Harry are all colorful comic book characters that serve as good antagonists to Spider-Man Though it hasn't been a large aspect of the Spider-Man films, humor has always been a welcome part of the movies in the past. Even among the darker nature of Spider-Man 3, comic relief still finds its way to the surface now and then. Peter Parker's attempt to be a bad boy is a failure, but still funny to watch. Best of all, Bruce Campbell returns with a cameo appearances that tops the other two. However, even though the laughs are funny and the action is exciting, I think this film's greatest credit is its story. Sam Raimi successfully takes the black suit and uses it to spin a story of vengeance and anger which is in turn replaced by redemption and forgiveness. Peter Parker showcases these themes in a manner that is epic, yet touching. Overall, I must say the story is what makes this movie a winner. So does this movie live up to the other two? Once again I say that it does. Though the surreal nature of this film is a bit of a departure from the more down-to-earth elements of its predecessors, the story is still as well-crafted and true as ever. Put in this movie and let yourself go into the epic, exciting comic book world. You won't regret it.

    Could have been better

First of all Topher Grace is a scronny little white kid and Eddie Brock in the comics is a muscular jock so that was one bad decision. Two the new Goblin wasn't bad, but he is supposed to be the new green goblin not the green surfer. Last of all Peter Parker is supposed to have some personality changes due to the suit, but going emo is not the best route. Perhaps my favorite scene of the suit altering his personality is when he totally loses his cool and gets in a fight with this bouncer at this little jazz club where Mary Jane works. Now that all the negative is out of the way...Venom looked sweet like I never expected him to look as good as he did, he could have been a little bigger but over all I am very satisfied with his appearance. There is A LOT of personality issues that have much to do with the developing of the character of Spiderman, but they may have had just a little too much of that and not enough fighting. I saw this movie on blu-ray at my friends place and have to say that it looked really good unfortunately he doesn't have surround sound so I couldn't tell you the difference in just hearing it. I have DVDs that I would sell to upgrade to blu-ray, but this just doesn't cut it (unless you don't have the movie than you can buy the whole set on blu-ray and that would definately be worth it).

As hyped as I was to see this movie blow parts 1 and 2 out of the water, I was a little disappointed in the lack-of-action. Although the story is remaining true to the comic series, I pray that part 4 (hopefully starring Tobey) will be more action-packed, and get more detailed into character development (i.e. the doctor becoming the lizard, and the leftover symbioite becoming Carnage). But only time will tell. Lets all hope this a 2-disc and will contain loads of special features.

Not the Best but Still Great

This movie was great throughout but the downside of it was it had some really awquard moments in it that made even the biggest fans feel like something didnt belong. The biggest example of this was a scene were Peter Parker started to dance around. You have to see the movie to understand what I mean. If you can weather past the non-sense it has unbelievable special effects, and can be considerd "ahead of our time" in the way movies are made. I would say it is worth the money.

First, let me say that I like the new Spidey's better, but for $9.99 and $10 movie money to see Amazing Spiderman 2, this is a no brainer, it makes it practically free. While this is probably my least favorite of the Spidey movies, it's still enjoyable. Comes with a digital copy too. If you like Spiderman movies, you'll enjoy this, just don't expect it to be your favorite one.

    Spiderman 3

In this Spiderman movie Peter Parker(Tobey Maguire) comes in contact with an alien symbiote,it bonds with it's host,it also changes the persons personaility.Later on in the movie Eddie Brock(Topher Grace) comes in contact with the symbiote and becomes Venom.Meanwhile an escaped convict Flint Marko(Thomas Haden Church) falls into a pit particle accelerator and becomes the Sandman. And Peter's old friend Harry Osborn(James Franco) becomes the Green Goblin. The acting is good from all cast members playing their respective roles. Some scenes are pretty chessey like the kitchen, and Peter's walking down the street scene, but they put these scenes in the movie just for laughs. The ending I think could have been better.Sam Rami behind the camera does a good job of catching every action scene, and special effects are also good. The music is a balance of the first and second films. This may not have been in my mind better than Spiderman 2,but it still worth watching.

Wont miss much if you ignore this movie

If you want to have all 3 movies then by all means buy it. But i suggest renting it first. The problem with this movie is that it is not as good as any of the first two. Story is weak, and despite the introduction of an awesome villain like Venom, the villains are still pretty lame. I guess the main problem is that they try to pack to much story into one film making the movie tell fragments of stuff. They could have just focused on Venom and spiderman and his relationship with Harry Osbourne. But then they also try to add in a poor villain like Sandman. I guess my main complaint with this movie is that i just wasnt interested and i didnt care for the characters. If you liked the first 2 films, you might be dissapointed with this one. But if youre a real fan, you might ignore the bad parts and still enjoy it, or really hate it for not doing a good job on representing spiderman. I suggest rental first.

Spiderman 3 was heading in the right direction, but there were a couple of downfalls. 1. Not enough screen time for venom I was really hoping that I would see a lot of venom, but all I saw was Eddie’s face 2. Weird dancing scenes I didn’t think that the dancing scenes were really necessary. They really took you away from the movie. Overall Spiderman 3 is a descent movie, some of the things that I like about it are… 1. Music I really loved the music in this movie, especially when Spiderman changes into Black Spiderman 2. Actors They chose brilliant actors to play the characters in this film; I could not have done a better job 3. The Plot The Plot was very creative, and I love the fact that Peter has to learn to forgive 4. Bonus Material The bonus material was very detailed; I spent hours and hours watching how they made this movie

I think spiderman 3 is a great movie because the enemies are awsome venom and the black suit were sweet and the sand mna was a great battle. the only problem i had was that i thought that there was too much of their relationships and not that much action but when their was action it was intensegood movie though.

The Final Installment of the Trilogy Rocks

This movie I feel gets an unfair negative review by many people. I believe this movie wasn't near as bad as the negative reviews claim, but at the same time it wasn't 5 stars as the first 2 were. This movie is still highly enjoyable for any real Spidey fan.

Had this movie replaced twice along with all of my equipment and even brought it into the best buy store, three of the associates told me as we were watching it in the store that the HD quality of this movie was lacking due to the manufacturers including it for free witht he PS3. It has never played as well as my other blu-ray discs. I like all the characters in the story and especially venom, but when they all come together for the final scene, there are pieces of the way they interact that seem out of place, despite the effects being wonderful. All in all, not as impressed as the other spiderman movies and definetly not as impressed as other blu-ray movies. I would not spend the money buying this one.

I liked it , it was ok. I just thought there was too much going on at one time. I loved the comic books since I was a kid. In this movie, they ignored the comics and rewrote the story. I was let down by the changes. Simple formula: Follow the comic and all will be well.

My favorite part of the movie is seeing Tower City in Cleveland in the background. I watched the movie at the movie theater in Tower City, and everyone clapped when Tower City came up on the screen. The weakest of the trilogy...

I watched this for about the 3rd time last night. This was a good movie, however plot was weaker than the other 2. I really liked the graphics of the Sandman, and it was interesting to watch his character spell out the truth from the other 2 movies.
