Graphics are amazing and storyline is great if you like JRPGs pick this up

Finally finished it yesterday went on far to long, gameplay was fun but god it was boring.

This is a fine time sink when you dont have anything else to play.

Good gameplay...compelling story...makes me want to keep playing it again and again...

It's a game that plays like a game. Got it as a gift for someone. He liked it.

I was able to get this when it was on sale, and it is well worth the value

As my title suggests, the fast paced battles are fluid & fun, & grinding keeps me engaged, but this Star Ocean's story doesn't touch the 1st four in the series (especially 1 & 2). I mean, the story & characters are good, but not as memorable as, say, Claude & Rena. As for one of the flaws of this game, well, one thing I found VERY irritating is the characters would all be having a discussion, talking about story details while walking, which is fine, but then you'll get in a fight & the conversation keeps going, & I completely missed the details of "what" they were talking about, 'cause I was focused on the battle & not the discussion anymore. Bad direction. Other than that flaw (& maybe some of the voice acting), this game is very good -- not "great" like the others, just very good.

Very fun game in the Star Ocean series, a step up from the last entry. Worth a play

Gameplay is great... lots of reviews cover that. However about 10/12 hours the game basically decides to provide one side commentary on real world politics that pretty much ruins the game. It's not some sidequest that you can skip and it's so off putting I might just sell the game to gamestop or something rather than finish it.
