Star Trek's Next Generation's darker and moodier cousin. This show was excellent to begin with and became down right outstanding by season seven. I heartily endorse Deep Space Nine.

The DS9 Series box set is a re-release of the same material and content of the individual season sets released back in 2004. The menus, special features are all the same, but this version is much cheaper. If you want to buy it all in one place this nicely packaged version would be the best to hold out for. Visual wise it is the same DVD quality however unless things change this will be the best looking version of the series unless a Bluray version comes out. The DVDs are broken up in 3 cases, seasons 1-3 in volume 1. Seasons 4-6 for volume 2. and Season 7 in it's own stand alone volume 3. New cover art and case art includes all spec information of the DVDs, the reverse of the transparent case cover inserts include episode titles per disc.

Wish it was on Blu-ray but this is as good as it gets! Definitely a must have for any Trek fan! Discs were all in great shape!

The philosophy of Star Trek has never been rewritten as it has in DS9. Unique, bold, challenging this series has a design which can be considered the Dark Side of the Force compared to The Next Generation. Still, the story lines are bold and not apologetic to their way of dealing with the unknown. The cast is very strong and takes command of their characters lives in every scene. The writers won't back down, they give us what we want most.....the reality of space. I love this show, love the characters and find myself quoting scripts in my daily life. What better way to show how much you admire something?

A unique entry in Star Trek lore, this is darker and grittier than ST:TNG. Further, it doesn't take place on a ship but a station so the action comes in with each passing ship. Each character is clearly defined and unique with their individual strengths and weaknesses and some come and go. Commander (then Captain) Sisko holds his own compared to the other captains in Star Trek. A great series, great stories, that is worth watching many times over.

This is one of the best Star Trek series. They were able to put aside a lot of the tropes that hide defined Star Trek and do something new with it. It is definitely worth checking out. The only downside is that they have not done the work to release a Blu-ray version. However, the quality of these DVDs is still top notch.

I have always wanted to buy this series on DVD, because I have watched this series when it was on TV. I love all of the characters, and it is a part of the Star Trek tradition. Now I have DVD's of all Star Trek series.

Finally able to own DSN. after so many years of wanting it. The original box set was way too pricey. Glad they made it more affordable this year. As for Best Buys, while it did take a week to get it due to probably being back-ordered, I got it good condition, nothing was scratched, all the disc in place.

I really like the "Complete Series" format that CBS is doing to many of their shows but not to thrilled with the packaging. The discs are identical to the ones in the single season packs. Not sure why they did not keep the photo discs instead of the dull gray ones. Nonetheless, an excellent show!

I've been eyeing this for a while, and the one-day price I bought this for made it irresistible. I love this series and wanted a hard copy, even though it's on streaming sites. Yes, I would have loved for this series to be in Blu Ray, the Prophets have deemed it not to be so.

Deep Space Nine is easily the most underrated Star Trek series. This set is a remarkable value for the series. It's a shame it's not available on blu-ray, but that's more a production issue than anything, since half the series would have to be completely re-filmed.

In previous releases, this TV show has been packaged terribly. It's been expensive for individual seasons and this solves both problems. Under 100 bucks, And the packaging is as slim as it could get for what it is. I really like this a lot.

One of the best shows ever made, The picture quality isn't the best, even for a DVD version. And the packaging is very flimsy. Both issues are from the manufacturer and not the fault of Best Buy. Still recommend buying since CBS has no intentions of releasing a BD remaster.

I borrowed the series that had the original box set. Quality was good but the box set I got seems of better quality. The price is great and I love this series. If you never seen the series and you like sifi give this a chance.

Took a while to make it through the entire 7 years of the series. The quality of video was acceptable and the features provided interesting background information.

Since this is the best of all the Star Trek series, I'm thrilled it's in one collection. I would have packaged it differently however and wish they could have thrown in some extra "extras" (who doesn't want that anyway).

If you are a Star Trek fan then no collection is complete without DS9. Inventive, on the edge, great acting and the writing keeps you glued to the screen. Action, adventure, everything a hard core Sci-Fi fan needs.

Can't go wrong with this set. Just wish they included the Best Buy exclusive content. Also, don't expect Blu Ray set to come out anytime soon. DS9 starts off slow, but picks up as the seasons progress. Excellently written episodes and storylines with a satisfying (yet somewhat sad) finish. No Trek fan should not be without this set!

Enjoy the tale of Sisko & Company as they defend the wormhole and save the federation from the Jem Hadar . Great dvd packaging and enough action and drama to fill the quadrant.
