I really enjoyed this show. I don’t get the hate. The sets, music, and graphics are fantastic. The SteelBook looks excellent as well.

Wow ! Star Trek:Picard is a lot better than I expected . It picks up not after where Star Trek:Next Generation left off,but better still, years after Star Trek:Nemesis .There are several references to the Nemesis movie involving Data. as always, the various roles are perfectly cast and Sir Patrick Stewart is Picard again. Nice to see a handful of characters/original actors from star Trek:NG and Star Trek:Voyager, but this isn't a nostalgia trip, its a huge step forward. Brilliantly written, directed and performed. Big props to the studio for including hours of extras that those who taped this series will miss out on,if they don't purchase this Blu-Ray. Now I'm looking forward to Season 2...make it so.

Steelbook. Originally I thought this was a great way to revisit TNG and close out some plots. But like all the new trek series, it is way too PC and woke. The plot tends to stray off like seeing a squirrel, but then snaps back and forgets the squirrel which is just wasted plot time. Overall much better than season 2. The reuniion episode with Riker and Troi is good.

Star Trek Picard is a continuation of Star Trek: Nemesis. Decades after Nemesis, Picard is still haunted by the fact that his friend, Data, gave up his life to save Jean-Luc. When he discovers that Data had children, he goes on a quest to save them from extinction.
The story is top heavy with Romulans and Borg.
At 80, Patrick Stewart gives an incredible performance.
The Blu-ray packs a solid presentation. Too bad it's not available in 4K.
The Steelbook is, as usual, very handsome.

The Freshman season of Picard...
I enjoyed it. I don't want to spoil anything, I'll just say I'm curious to see where they go from here.
Most shows take a season or two to get established. (There were some not so great episodes of TNG in those first couple of seasons...) Of course, Picard has history in TNG show and movies, but this is new territory. I'm curious about learning more of what has happened since we saw the crew in Nemesis. Hope we see more characters from TNG, DS9 and Voyager...
The steelbook is a cool package...

I subscribed to CBS All-Access just for this series. I've been a Star Trek fan for years and actually purchased The Next Generation on 89 Laserdiscs (2 episodes per disc), upgraded to DVD and then upgraded to Blu-ray. It is my favorite series.
This is a glorious return to that world that is written so well, acted beautifully and I just love this Steelbook Artwork. The video quality and audio is excellent. I am so excited about Season Two.

This Steelbook has an immaculate design, it's sturdy and wonderous. I haven't watched the show yet but if you are looking at the Steelbook listing, you've probably already watched it and want to decide if you want to add this to your physical colection. You do. Are you going to pay a monthly subscription to CBS All Access forever? No. Are you going to buy the boring and simple Blu ray? No. Get it while the getting is good.

Mostly well-done start for this show, with a few iffy, underdeveloped, or rushed elements. Patrick Stewart is a joy. The steelbook is simple and understated, but nice. Bonus content is okay, but not a treasure trove. A/V quality is mostly excellent, but with some moments of visual oddities that made me wonder whether I was watching a Blu-ray or a stream. Post-production issue with the show? Or a problem with the BD production? CBS should be able to do better, but it’s similar to the ST: Discovery and Short Treks Blu-ray releases. Delivery was flawless and the product was damage-free.

Another excellent steel case edition! Very high quality production. You won’t be disappointed with the audio or visual aspects. As for the series, Patrick Stewart knocks it out of the park. Lots of great cameos. It’s a sequel to The Next Generation chronologically but this series is a different animal. If you accept this isn’t TNG I think you’ll enjoy it.

This is a good series, overall. Its too bad that the lower budget is obvious, and the character of Picard takes a backseat to the action in almost every episode. Highlights are when familiar faces show up in certain episodes. Its a no-brainer to watch if you are even remotely a fan of Star Trek the Next Generation. However, the plotting is predictable, and often nonsensical- so not too many surprises in that regard. The last episode was very touching, however, and I admit to shedding a few tears.

The build quality of this steelbook is solid. The spindles hold the discs with confidence but aren't difficult to remove or set back in place. I think they could have been more creative with the artwork, however. As steelbooks go, there's no "wow" factor to this piece. I would much rather have had the artwork from the standard release, with Picard's canine companion, Number One, at his side on the steelbook. Instead we just get a cropped image of the standard release cover, a close-up of Picard. I feel like there are probably many more intriguing images that could have been used. Of course, since it is a steelbook, it's still much more desirable than any standard release.
The show itself, I think, was mostly a disappointment. Too many new characters driving a story that's suppose to be about some of the most beloved characters in Trek lore. The soundtrack was uninspiring and the end, while bold, wasn't believable.

I bought my first two dvd's of this item at Meijer's and the quality was terrible. So I tried Best Buy and right off the packaging was excellent (metal tin). I took it home to make sure I wasn't getting another pirated copy and all three disks worked properly, thanks again.

I really didn't expect it to be that good since Picard is aging and I thought that any adventure in space would be out of the question. Wow, am I truly wrong and so glad to have purchased season 1 of Picard. Now I can't wait for season 2 and boldly go to ......

This season rocked, the show concept is excellent, the production value is amazing, the acting is amazing, and the special features make the blu-ray worth it! The steelbook edition may only be worth it for true Trek-lovers like myself, but go for the blu-ray.

Purchased because we are Star Trek fans. However, I am not a fan of having to subscribe to every streaming service that's out there. We waited for the bluray to come out. We already pay for three streaming services and we're NOT happy with any of them.

I’ve been waiting for this to come out on blu-ray since it came out on CBSAccess. I have now watched it and I love the show. Finally a new Star Trek show worth watching. Loved the Patric Stewart has returned to ply his iconic role as Picard again.

Great revival of the show and character! While a little problem with the story great to see other star trek characters in it. Good action, story except for one thing in particular. If you love star trek TNG you'll love this!

As a fan of the Star Trek Franchise I was excited to hear that CBS would be streaming a series of Picard. I did not want to pay for the Streaming Service and decided to wait until it was released on disc. I have started the 1st Season and so far it is decent. Will have to post an update after I have completed watching the season.
