While Picard is sexy as hell, the original is classic and groundbreaking in the history of tv... had to own

It was worth the purchase. These episodes never seem to lose their worth despite the age of the series.

I love the design of the packaging, hard cardboard outer case for nice protection and the plastic housing case enclosing the DVDs is nicely desgned. The inside sleeve of the case has a listing of the episodes for easy reference, which is a nice touch. The quality of the video and audio are excellent. I have watched the first season and half of the second season and have found the quality much better than expected. The extra features are added to the individual episode discs rather than on a single disc, which I like very much. It makes it easier to view the extras in between viewing the episodes. If you want all the episodes in excellent quality along with some special features at the best possible price, then this is your set to purchase.

One of my favorite shows at a great price can not beat that!

Star Trek: The Original Series - The Complete Series [DVD] Makes me wish I had a 25 disc DVD changer, so I could load the entire collection into it, set it to random, hit play and enjoy a TOS marathon without ever having to change a DVD. I've seen some people complaining about the remastering of the series for this collection but I think it looks fantastic, they did an amazing job. Watching the series on my 4k TV, which upscales the 1080p video, is a real treat... It looks like it could have been filmed yesterday on the latest video equipment available...The images and video are crystal clear and therefore lack the grainy-ness that was inherent to videos made in the sixties, that lack of grain seems to be what the purest's are complaining about. I for one, do not miss the grain, this remastered collection of TOS is beautifully done.

Star Trek, TOS, all three seasons on 25 DVD's and each one packed with lots of extras for the hardcore fans... Nearly 70 hours of Trekdom! VERY well packaged! Inside the square cardboard box is an oversized semi-soft jewel case that creatively holds all 25 discs, it takes up way less space than I expected, A++! If you're a fan of Star Trek, The Original Series, and you don't yet have this in your collection... I have one question for you... ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR VULCAN MIND!?!?

Bought this for my husband for Christmas (also myself as I must admit as we are both huge Star Trek fans). We have been watching the DVD's and enjoying them very much. Each disc has extra data on it. A lot of interviews with some of the cast members. Interviews are about 10 yrs old but interesting none the less. One interview is with William Shatner and all about his horses. That one was not so interesting. Sorry Bill. They have sharpened some of the images of the Enterprise in many shots and sometimes what is on the viewing screen and matte shots when they are on a planet. One of the DVD's with the extra data tells about how they did this and also how they had a full orchestra re-do all of the music. So far we are loving it.

I already own the Star Trek original series box set but when episodes of the original series started showing up in a local theater and on TV with refreshened graphics I knew I had to get the set eventually. Best Buy recently had a sale on the set and since I received a gift card it made it a no brainer. Nice silvery slipcase with the discs inside in clear plastic frames. If you never watched the originals this might be a good way to go. Some long time viewers are purists about the originals but I find there is much to like about both. Get this for the Trek fan in your household - makes a great gift for binge watching!

I Snapped this Set up as soon as I saw it was going for around $50 I have been wanting to have ST TOS on dvd Forever .... To be able to kick back Anytime I want and "To Boldly Go Where No Man has gone Before" is Incredible!! Each Episode is uncut 50. + mins and tons and tons of extras on most every disc too.if you have only ever seen all 3 seasons of ST TOS on Broadcast or Cable TV all cut up with tons of commercials and or Shortened. It's a Joy for all ages to Watch Each Again Totally Remastered and Uncut!! This DVD ST TOS complete Set is Truly a Star Trek Fans Dream Come True. :)

I loved Star Trek when it was first broadcast and was irritated when the network took it off the air. (It only appeals to scientists, so who cares?) Now I can watch it again. Science has come a long way, but one just ignores that and enjoys the interactions among the characters. Thank you for putting this out at a low price!

This might not be for those who want things all original, but the enhancements added a lot. Planets look much better, CGI Enterprise, ships and backdrops look fantastic and most of the enhanced CGI effects are close enough to the original, looking great without detracting from the original. In some cuts, the enhancement isn't all that obvious. Some still retained the 1960's era graininess. Lots of extra Trek featurettes. I'm a happy Trekker.

Great set at an affordable price for those want to add Star Trek to their collection. My only issue is the way the discs are put into the case, they are stacked one on top of the other in sets of two, which makes it just a little inconvenient at times when switching between discs. Otherwise, a great set with lots of extras for those hardcore Star Trek fans.

The remastered videos are worth purchasing. All the images are much cleaner and more satisfying to watch. The models and music has been replaced and sounds much better than the original. I thought the first DVDs were great compared to VHS, but these remastered DVDs are worth the price. Don't ask how many time I've watched Star Trek!

This is a great DVD box set! Not only does it have every single episode of the original Star Trek series, it also has tons of bonus features sprinkled through the entire box set. I bought this on sale for $41.99, and it was well worth the price! This is the perfect gift for anyone who enjoys the classic TV series.

i need close caption and i hope there is the option to do on the dvd's. i have not viewed them yet,i always wanted the whole collection. in the summer i am going to n.y and shall see them with my family. did not check when i bought them if cc was possible.hope you notify me if it is.

I had the original Star Trek series on VHS tapes years ago - they took up a lot of space as each episode had its own tape in box. I was absolutely thrilled to see Best Buy had the series on DVDs in one box and at such a great price! The added bonus is the space I'll be saving (pun intended).

This is a great compilation of the three seasons of the original series from the 1960s. A few enhancements have been added via CGI to backgrounds and such, but the original content is still there, and it stands the test of time. It's great fun, with a message of tolerance besides.

The picture and sound quality is very good. If you don't own a blue-ray player and you don't already own the series, this is a great purchase. The re-mastered episodes make it a lot more enjoyable to watch for younger generations who didn't grow up with the original shows.

My wife and I have been enjoying the Star Trek Original series. Improved picture quality from the TV and VHS. There is an issue with the case. The last disk appears to be attached to the back of the case but the attachment point is a little crooked.

I’ve loved Star Trek since I was a kid watching with my mom, glad to have it now in its entirety and not have to pray it doesn’t disappear bc Netflix decided to stop hosting it.
