Great Star Wars Game

Star Wars the Force Unleashed is great game all around; everyone who is old enough to get this game should get this game. Not only is the game play great but it also has a great story. The real question is not if you should buy this game but, rather, what system you should buy it for.
As a little warning, I would like to say that the game is quite violent and is rated “T” for teen, but it isn’t much worse that what can be found in the 3rd Star Wars movie.
Your options: Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360. I don’t recommend buying it for the PS2 because the graphics are terrible and it fails in comparison to any of the others (I won’t go into PSP or Nintendo DS because they are handheld games).
If you’re looking for a game with graphics so good that it looks like a movie, buy either the PS3 or Xbox 360 versions. Both versions have magnificently polished graphics and have the same great game play controls. Although both versions are great, I believe the PS3 version to be superior to the Xbox 360 one. If you don’t have a PS3 and only have a 360 then you will be plenty happy with the 360 game.
The Wii version belongs in a category of its own. The graphics aren’t as good but that is just a trade-off for the awesome control scheme. You basically control your force powers with the Nunchuk and your lightsabre with the Wii remote. Sadly, you do not control the exact movement of the lightsabre with the Wii remote but the motion system overall is still incredibly innovative.
So, my suggestion: buy this game. Just pick the system that works out best for you. The only thing to remember is that the game is not for young kids. In closing, I highly recommend this game and also, sorry for the super long review.

Wiggle waggle!

When the Nintendo Wii came out I though to myself: the Wii remote would make the perfect lightsaber controller. Well, it is not perfect, but it gets you close to it. However, the controls for this game requires too much waggling: wiggle the nunchuck and you control force powers; wiggle the remote and you control your lightsaber. During boss fights the game asks you to wiggle either. That said, I suppose the controls feel more natural than, say, pushing buttons on a classic controller. Boss fights can be a pain and repetitive - if you don't follow on screen wiggles precisely.
Nonetheless, the game itself is fun and engaging. Worth the $20 price.

Pretty Good, but Could have been Better.

Look, every gaming console on the market today is going to have it's plusses and minuses. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was a fun game, but I do acknowledge that it could be better. It seems like in some cases, that you can't get the best of all worlds. That is, you can't have your amazing graphics and interactive play too. What the Wii version of this game lacks in graphics power, it makes up for with its control scheme. To perform many of the techniques, you need to do more than just press buttons. It will occasionally involve turning the Wiimote and/or the nunchuk in a certain fashion, in conjuction with a certain button combo. In any case, the very fact that you need to swing the Wiimote to weild your lightsaber is tempting enough.
I would have liked the game to be a bit longer, but its has a great story nonetheless. Bottom line: if you like Star Wars in any way, shape, or form, this is certainly a game worth picking up. Good, could be better, but I do recommend it.

Over all its a good game. I wouldn't say its my favorite game made by the Lucas arts company. it has a detailed stroy line. its a fairly easy game. only part I found to be difficult was the last level. graphics aren't anything special. I mean it is for the wii. one thing I found annoying is that you can't pick up guns. but the way they designed this game they would be obsolete. its a very controlled game. you can't really change the way you played it the first time. I think its worth getting but not the best game I have ever gotten.
Best game I have gotten for the wii so far though.

I rented this game when it first came out and i'm glad I did before I bought it. My biggest issue is that it it too short. I beat it in a few days with just some casual time playing it. I do like the game play and the force abilities. However, the boss fights are a little anticlimactic. But it is a definite add to your building Star Wars collection. Now that it's down to $19.99, I'll go buy it.

The game is very good and lots of fun on the Wii. Wielding a light saber, doing force pushes, all way cool. However, the "finishing mechanic" is pathetic, at least on the Wii.
The "finishing mechanic" is engaged once you get a boss down to a certain level of health. You have to follow what is on-screen which will be either to move the nunchuk or the remote. This is also used when there are force locks or saber locks, but with force locks and saber locks the mechanic works well. The finishing mechanic on the other hand is pathetic and therefore frustrating taking away almost all the fun out of the game.
The finishing mechanic is so pathetic that often you won't even have 1 second to do what it shows. You might get a "wa" out of "one Mississippi" out. This typically happens on the 2nd or subsequent required movement. I've even seen the finishing mechanic exit after NEVER displaying the next required movement. It's horrible and takes all the fun out of the game.
Why play if a design flaw prohibits progression through the game. LucasArts should give people their money back. It's too bad too because other than what I would call a clear flaw the game is a blast on the Wii. I bought a Wii for this game which makes it even more of a let-down.

This is pretty similar to the other Starwars games but with improvements. You can't really control the force well so you have to hope the game figures out where you want something to go. Also the camera is sometimes really bad. The AI also doesn't move sometimes. Also it has a pretty weak ending when you destroy the whole battleship with the force. So basically just buy it if your a pretty deep starwars fan.

Overall, I liked this game. The fact that the Wii Remote acted directly as your Lightsaber was really cool. Though the graphics lacked slightly, this was made up for with the Wii-exclusive Duel Mode with a variety of characters from across the Star Wars Universe.
In conclusion, it's not a perfect 10/10, but it's worth the price!

This was a really fun game. But you know this really didnt happen in the star wars saga so the out come of the story is stupid....no i wont wreck it for you.....but the cut scene graphic and animation look like i could make it and im in high school...well it was fun but like everyone says it gets old....i like it still because you get a lot of different characters to duel with....and like 5 different colors and three shades of each of those colors for your light saber in career mode. but if you are a computer gamer like me....dont expect computer like graphics you see in Crysis and Halo 2 and FEAR and games like thoughs....but still if you like star wars games this is a really good one for the game play... 2 thumbs up for that

To start off, Im not a big Starwars fan at all, but the actual lightsabers you can use were the reason I bought the game. It was a very cheap game considering the fact its for the wii. I absolutely love the game! I beat it 2 times in one day though. But It was very fun (hince the reason i played and beat it twice =) ) I recommend this game for any one looking for a fun game to play.
I also love the duel mode.
The only things I don't like are the ending I chose. It made me slightly angry. and the fact that the game was short. Also the force is very sensitive. The force will activate when you dont need it too.
Otherwise great game. And Cheap fun! =)

This is a good game if you are a big Star Wars fan or not. The story line in the game is amazing. You will have a lot of fun playing this game. But if you want good graphics I suggest you get it for Xbox 360 or PS3 becasue its not that great for the Wii. It is for all ages but might be a little bit harder for the younger kids about under 10. You will definitly have fun throughout the game. I definatley suggest you buy this game it is worth every cent.

This game is cool but if your like me you have parents that barely let you play and the save point are 30mins to an hour away. The longest level is cloud city. I like multiplayer games alot and wii is the only version with multiplayer battling. Even though I am a big fan of wii, they put their time into the movements more than graphics. This game will take about 6 hours for the average gamer. The only hard part is fighting darth sideuos (and even still I only died once trying).

Too much hype?

There was a lot of hype for this game and i expected a lot. I was pretty disappointed with this game because it just isn't that fun. Is it me or is this game too difficult to defeat the heroes? It took me 20 minutes to beat the first Jedi when you're playing as Darth Vader. So it does get a little tedious. The responsiveness to the controls are good. The graphics are not the greatest but then again it is only a Wii.

This game is very cool. Getting to play as Darth Vader for a level is a nice touch. The controls are very cool for the Wii. It's fun to swing the controls around and see your character doing pretty much the same thing on the screen. The only thing I would change is the length of the game. It takes less than 10 hours to beat the game. Most gamers are used to much more play time.

Fun But Rent It First

Bought this game the morning it came out. Got the free shirt and five bucks off lightsaber for my four year old. The game starts out pretty good with great use of Wii controls. However, those same controls become rather repetitive as this game quickly becomes same old same old on each level just with different bosses. I beat this game in less than eight hours. You are unable to pick levels even after you've beat the game and are forced to replay the entire storyline just to get to your favorite levels again. The graphics are better in some worlds and scenes than others but average overall for the Wii. My four year old absolutely loves the duel mode and we get quite a kick out of having it out with one another. Overall I would have rather of rented this game first and probably wouldn't of bought it, or at least not for fifty bucks. The Deul mode is the main keeper here due to my four year old but I probably could of waited for Clone Wars to come out for the same thing.

I purchased this game yesterday from Best Buy with high expectations and lucky for me this game did not dissapoint. The first level was a little tedious as Darth Vader doesn't possess some of the abilities you get later in the game (i.e. running, jumping, lightning), but once you get passed that, it is awesome to say the least. Lots of action, and more force abilities than you can shake a stick at make this game a must buy for someone who owns a Wii. (Oh and as a side note, there is no shortage of things that you can destroy, which is a plus for those of you who love to work out aggressions using games like I do)

One of the best games ever for the Wii. Probably the most intense game. This thing will push your system to limit. The levels are expansive and impressive. The biggest thing I don't like, is probably the bosses. When you master the force (e.g. doing force push and lightning at the same time) you will absolutely massacre them. I do absolutely love running around blasting the --- out of the enemies. The Rancors are probably the hardest enemies in game. At one point you have to face two at ounce! Well back to the game. You can't pick up and play, you'll find yourself swept in it and will end up playing for hours. Tip, enter the cheat code Grand Moff, and you'll be able to play as Obi Wan or even a Stormtrooper.

Fun to play, story line is horrible!

What a horrible story line, but that is to be expected from Lucas Arts nowadays. i haven't yet beaten the game but will shortly. So far the "twists" to this game are foreseeable and the love story between the apprentice and juno is pretty lame. darth vader is too soft in this game, he shows emotion too much. and where did all these other jedi come from!?
despite all that, the game is a lot of fun if you're just into wielding a lightsaber and using force powers, which is by far the best in any SW game i've played. the wii controls make everything seem more life like. plus with a certain cheat code you can unlock all costumes and play as other characters such as darth maul, luke, han, mara jade and others.
