Customers recognize the compelling storyline as a major highlight, frequently praising its immersive and engaging nature. However, many feel the game is too short, criticizing repetitive missions and a lack of enemy variety. Positive feedback also mentions the intuitive controls, impressive visuals, and enjoyable music. While some appreciated the physics engine, others found the limited force powers to be a drawback.

Great Star Wars game, but falls short

When I opened up my copy and played about 2 hours worth of this game, I was starting to notice the many many glitches in this game. It was cool to start off the game by using Darth Vader, but after that, you'll start noticing the average graphics presentation of the game. The cut scenes are not fluent in motion either. I was surprised how poorly the voice acting synced with the actual characters' lips. And if you notice, the characters walk very awkwardly in this game during the cutscenes. The graphics look so average on even a 1080p scale, it's quite disappointing. At times, the characters are not fully complete, just a collection of awkwardly looking polygons. The fighting scheme and premise reminds me so much of Dark Forces, it's almost a let down. The boss fights are so so. It almost seemed like the demo version looked more graphically pleasing than the actual game. It's above average at best, but it wasn't worth the hype in my opinion.

I would stick to a rental for this one. Star wars fans will appreciate the game for what it is. The gameplay is fun but it doesn't last very long. The AI isn't quite what you would expect in the newer 360 games. There isn't much replay value here at all.

This is a great game. There have many Star Wars games, but this is the first that really lets you use Force Powers like you want to. It's a lot of fun throwing enemies into each other or even out a window into space. The only disappointing part is how short the game is. It would be good to see this type of game play in an RPG.

This is a great game with a few minor draw backs. Firstly it is extremely short with only a couple of missions and no online mulitplayer. Otherwise this I love the game and I would recommend this to star wars fans.

Unleash the Force

I think only Star Wars fans will appreciate this game. Although I enjoy the Star Wars universe, Force Unleashed is still fun to play. The story takes place betwen Ep. 3 and 4, as you play as Vader's apprentice. The game does a great job tying the 2 trilogies.

"If you are a Star Wars fan, you must get this game for the plot advancements alone. Even if you're not, the game is just really fun to play. I highly recommend it for anyone. The only game where you can use the force to hurl a jawa at a stormtrooper."

Controlling "The Force"

First and foremost if you are a Star Wars fan, do not hesitate go out and buy this game immediately. If you have ever wanted to control the force, or wanted to feel like you were part of something, this is the game for you, if you are not a fan of the movie, but still like fighting, killing, smashem up games, this is still for you. I enjoy several types of games, but mostly this type. I have different age children that absolutely love the movie and this game especially.
The gameplay to say the least is awesome. Picking up people and objects and throwing them all over the place is awesome. The sabre fighting and slight hand to hand is awesome, the finishing moves for bosses by using button combinations brilliant. Overall I give this game a 5 star rating. I am willing to bet you will too.

This game is very cool, its just to short. It connects 3 & 4 very nicely with you at the death star and such. The moves you learn are impressive, my favorite is crushin a chicken walker.

Sense i've downloaded the demo on my xbox, I've probably played this game at least 10 times. Though you go through the same spots, it is a different play everytime. you can play completely seriously and use amazing combos (force lift + saber throw + force push) or you can just fool around with your enemies and pick them up and toss them into stuff. Sometimes if you pick them up near someone else they will grab eachothers hands and try and hold him down. as i said different. It is just plain fun. Glass breaks different. trees splinter. Seems like it will be a very interesting storyline. Im buying it when it comes out, but be sure to try that demo!

Smooth gameplay, good action, little repetitive at times. I wish the game was work like Knights of the Republic, meaning wish there was more of an RPG feel to the game. On xbox 360, you can see some frame rate issues at times

This Game made me Sad and Angry.

I was looking forward to this Game for as long as I can remember hearing of its conception. I bought into the hype and played it as soon as I got home. The first half of the game was staggeringly satisfying in terms of plot, dramatic character animation, and action. I loved that you could customize your powers and each ability had a different button on the controller as opposed to cycling through a menu and selecting which ONE power you want to use (as we've seen in previous Lucasarts games). The plot twists and blows you away... and then the developers got cheap in terms of plot development, time and/or money. "we know you've played through Raxus Prime, Felucia, and Kashyyk but now we're going to show you IMPERIAL OCCUPIED Raxus Prime, Felucia, and Kashyyk! The same environments, but on fire with lower lighting! You don't need an entire game full of original levels!"
In addition to this issue, the game's programming was obviously rushed out as there are many glitches throughout the experience. How'd you like to get stuck on nothing at all during a battle with a Jedi, only to get sliced to death because you can't move? Well, it'll be sure to happen to you at least once! Also, sometimes the game will randomly decide to lose track of your found holocrons, or your score.
And the ending was ridiculous. I won't plant spoilers here just in case this hasn't deterred someone, but both Light and Dark side endings were impossible to swallow.

Set between episodes 3 and 4 it's the untold story of Darth Vader's apprentice. Fun to play, good story, great graphics. The only problem is the length.

Lucasarts released this game to tell a story. They should just released the story because, as a video game, this isn't a very good one. I will say, on a quick note, better versions on other consoles can be found, but to each his/her own.
