Much larger than standard and harder to handle. Easy to hook up to current network of 7 APs and a line of site to a far (1700 foot) barn. Speed is good but panel stays warm all the time. Had to use the wifi router as my first hub to get the system running. Not sure why i could not wire direct from the router.

Excellent product! Very high speed and worth the money. We were tired of our internet slowing down or even not being available…now we do t worry about that.

I live in an area just outside the city limits so traditional high speed Wi-Fi through Spectrum and other carriers is not available. Consistent reliable internet access has been a challenge for my home office needs. I bought the High Performance kit because residential Starlink was not available in my area. Although it costs more for the high performance system and a business account, it is worth the additional investment. The internet service through Starlink is more reliable than the Spectrum Service I have at my office location.
Here are some tips that worked well for me:
1) Setup on the base is extremely easy. Do this first by yourself to make sure your Starlink service works well for you in your area.
2) When you know the system can work well for you, hire a professional to run the cables through the walls for your permanent setup.
3) If you have a mesh extender network, buy the Ethernet adapter so you can extend the range of your Starlink. The system comes with a Starlink router but the mesh extender makes a big difference especially for larger homes.
4) Check out the mounting accessories on the Starlink website, if you can't find them on BestBuy.com. My installer was impressed with the quality of the mounts and accessories that I ordered.

While I really wanted to keep this item, I had to go with the standard version. Our roofline would not allow this to be installed but we are definitely satisfied with Starlink

Much faster than Viasat which was my previous provider. I have a metal roof and installed the dish using 250 lb. Magnets from Harbor Freight. Easy install and no holes in the roof.

Performs very good but a bit overpriced, especially since a month after purchasing Starlink released their new consumer dish that pretty much has the same specs as this high performance dish for less than a 1/4 of the price.

I live in an area that gets more than 60' of snow per year and this does make a difference in weather. The download speed is about the same, the upload is 2x, and ping times are ~30% better. In clear weather, I cannot notice a difference, except that is more stable so less "robot voice" on calls. For full-time WFH it is worth the cost. For streaming and non-work internet I would not have spent the money as the small dish worked well enough. It is heavy so much harder to install.

This was obviously an open box item. Parts were missing and items were attached that should have been separate in the box which indicated the product was previously opened and used. The security tape was a second application. The installer will have to supply additional parts.
This was extremely disappointing and not up to the standards we have come to expect from Best Buy products.

Definitely helps with the signal but all the Starlink kits still have consistency issues. That's just how they are. But it's great when you can't get a good phone signal or ISP to land where you want them to be.

Works very well in rural western mountain state; about 1.5 - 2.0 better download speed than standard model calculated by my speed test. haven't decided if it is worth the 2k price differential

I can't give an opinion on Starlink performance or quality because I didn't receive it in time to install because Best Buy lied repeatedly about my order. I attempted to call my local store for information and the call was farmed out to a foreign country. I did somehow manage to arrange a call back from my closest store. During the call back, the representative suggested I come into the store to order so I drove 47 miles to the closest Best Buy only to be told it was not in stock and I HAD to have it delivered. Idk how they are where you live but UPS & FedEx damage the majority of my orders somehow, somewhere along the delivery chain so I wanted to drive back to pick it up. I was assured that my delivery would be by Wednesday which was 3 days away. I agreed because that would fit the timeline I required. Wednesday came and went and no delivery. I called Best Buy and again the call was farmed out to the cheapest, most uniformed operator possible. They said I wouldn't receive the dish for 2 more weeks but I could order ANOTHER dish and they would guarantee I would have it by Friday. Friday was the last possible date for my installation to work with the construction taking place. If I bought the second dish he would just refund the first order. I begrudgingly agreed. After securing the order, HE didn't cancel my original order but transferred me to yet another country so I could explain the entire situation again. After explaining what happened THIS operator said she couldn't cancel the first order because they can only cancel in 1hr from placing it... I requested to cancel the second order and was back to square one after over an hour of frustrating conversation with people I couldn't understand. The dish finally arrived on the 21st of December, over 2 weeks after placing the order. I did have the good sense to buy the "Best Buy +" plan for $50 bc I had read the horror stories about people ordering and not being able to return due to being over 15 days. I ended up driving back to the same store with a severely beat up box because FedEx did what they do with aplomb. I was able to process a refund although it still hasn't posted on my credit card account three days later. What I learned was this. Best Buy customer service is horrible. I am convinced they make it frustrating on purpose to dissuade people from attempting to get an honest deal.

Starlink - High Performance Model

It's pretty much plug and play. This is a great option for those who need high speed Internet access where no cellular or other means of Wi-Fi is available. One reason for the High Performance over the standard model is because of the priority of signal when the Starlink network is congested.
