Love these headphones! They sound great and the ability to go wireless makes them even better, especially when you need to step afk but still need to be connected to your meeting. The sound is great in-game, watching movies, listening to music, or during meetings. Mic transmits voice clearly in meetings or during gaming and can be neatly tucked away when not in use. A little pricey but worth the extra dollars.

i Really like these head phones.i got these becuase a sales rep pointed me to them and said he has the same pair ,then he went on to exsplain how nice they are and how he can hear them from out on his front yard wirelessly and so on and so forth...they cam with a wire to hear them plugged in if you wish to .The wire usb which is supplied also has a input and out put jack, there is also a usb charging cable.they feel sleek and sharp, the sound is clear not to loud.i think the pc winner of the year for best head phones sticker on the box should say it all.anyways i got the warrenty for $20 bucks becuase its a electronic item and best buy seems to full fill the warrenty in many different ways .i just have one complaint ,,,the lights dont come with this unit like the one thats wired in ,but wireless is the way to go.i suppose the maker did this becuase of battery life...which is like 9 hours or more for what ever im using them for.thats really good battery life .just wish i could match the lights with my alienware 15r3 .10/10 and will defanetly recommend them to anyone.

The Steel Series - Arctis 7 Headset is the best headset I have found for the price. The sound is great but I did have to experiment a while to get the mic. working with one game. The quality of this headset is superb. Reading other reviews you will see it written that these are low profile. While the design is terrific, I find that they are still quite large around the top of the head. Not in fit. The fit is perfect. It is more in appearance. This could be due to the size of my head and may not be so noticeable on a larger person. A big plus would be if these were Bluetooth.

Bought these headphones primarily for gaming where they do fantastic, very atmospheric and immersive sound. Playing CSGO I can even hear footsteps much clearer. Where these headphones fail to impress is with music quality and software. First, the drivers are not powerful enoug on the low end, they often struggle so hard to play a low tone that the drivers almost feel as if they are pushing air at my ears. The software is not good, clunky with a very small EQ. The DTS 7.1 feature is useless, it makes the sound very muddy, keep this feature turned off. Overall with those issues aside they are extremely comfortable (6+ hour sessions no problem) and the wireless is perfect with great range and no delay.

I absolutely love my Artics 7 Headset. The headset is such a steal at $150. With a great battery life, throaty bass, and an excellent mic the headset would be a great buy with just these features. Add in the fact that it is wireless and can be used on virtually any device and you have a great headset for the money. I have been using this headset for my pc, ps4, and xbox one and have not been disappointed. I only have two cons about this headset so far after a few months of use. One, the volume is really low while using it my ps4, I have to crank it up on the headset to have a good experience. This could be because of some setting I am missing but its an easy fix. The other gripe I have is that you can use it wirelessly on the xbox but that is a Microsoft issue not because of the headset. Overall I would easily recommend this headset to anyone looking for a great comfortable gaming headset.

The Arctis 7s are really fantastic headphones. The sound quality is good, clear and with a lot of customization to hear either in game audio or voice chat at adjustable levels. The headphones are the most comfortable pair I’ve ever had (coming from some old turtle beach headphones) and I wear them for a few hours at a time. The wireless is also really good, they claim lag-free and that claim feels accurate. I only use them wirelessly and there has never been a noticeable delay on my end. Finally (and this is minor but maybe one of my favorite features) you can set up audio so the second the headphones turn on sound from your speakers stops and plays through the headphones and once they are off it goes automatically back. It’s a silly little thing but design touches like that are the thing that sold me on SteelSeries!

This is the second wireless headset I've used and blew my expectations out of the water. Sound quality is great, very comfortable, lightweight, and with an incredible battery life. Wireless range is probably around 15 feet, so I'm easily able to traverse my room. Honestly, only downside to this headset is the lackluster microphone, but it doesn't bother me.

Firstly, I bought these to use with my PS4. Since most people look at reviews for what's wrong with the product I'll start there.
CONS:
-I did have to spend a great deal of time switching between laptop and PS4 in order to use the equalizer and get the headset to sound exactly as I wanted. You'll want to do this otherwise it will sound very flat on console.
-Not surround sound for console and the game/chat mixer will also not work on console (I was aware of this before purchasing)
-They are a bit heavier than I was expecting
-A bit overpriced in my opinion
-They are not bluetooth so don't plan to be wireless while listening to music on your phone while out and about
-Looks kind of funny sitting on my head
PROS:
-Sound quality is PHENOMENAL. After using the SteelSeries Engine I got it to sound perfect for both games and music. For best results I suggest setting up different configurations for game and music.
-Fully wireless on console
-VERY COMFY. They have a suspension ski-goggle type headband and it is adjustable. I do need a break after multiple hours of use.
-Retractable mic
-Small light at the end of the mic that shines red when muted. This is one of my favorite features because I always forget I muted my mic and end up talking to no one. Now I can clearly tell if its muted.
-Great battery life so far
-You can plug an aux cord into the dongle and connect you phone to game AND listen to music.
-Mic quality is pretty good
-Aesthetically pleasing
-Comes with some stickers!
Overall I love this headset. I've had them for only about a month but they work great for what I needed. They probably performs their best as a PC headset but do not hesitate to use these for console. Remember to download the firmware right after you get these and play around with the equalizer to find the sound you want.

Been looking for a good 7.1 headset. Was between these, Siberia 800 and astro a50. These were the cheapest.. got them for 119.00 vs 300 and turned out to be pretty good. I think they could be clearer, more detailed but for that price... I'm pretty happy with them. The fit was really good.. nice ski goggle like straps. The quality on the headphones was very good. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a good mid priced wireless 7.1 headphones.

The battery life in this headset lasts for a long time, and I haven't had to charge it very much. The comfort level on my head seems great, I could go for many hours wearing it without needing to take it off. I have had less headaches from this headset than what my siberia v2 headset had. The noise cancelling seems just as good, although, if you don't have the volume dial turned all the way up on the headset it may sound as if one of the ears isn't producing sound. The wireless feature works great as well, I can wear them on the opposite end of my 1200 sq. ft. apt. and just barely have it start losing the signal from the receiver at my computer. Overall, I am quite pleased with this headset and would recommend it to anyone looking for a decent, but not overly priced headset for gaming and chatting with friends online.

I bought this headset specifically to use between my PS4 and PC, absolutely one of the most comfortable headsets I've worn (I have an astro A40 TR for my xbox1 for comparison). The Arctis 7 has a very comfortable/lightweight feel on the head, great for longer gaming sessions - battery life so far is fantastic, played through Uncharted 4 and Lost legacy without having to charge the headset. Sound is great, clear and crisp for gaming - with good spacial awareness. Haven't really tested it with music so I can't comment on that. Overall, happy with my purchase and the headset is solid - well worth the upgrade if you are considering it.

This has to be one of the most comfortable headsets I have ever owned. The audio quality is amazing and everyone tells me that the mic sounds great. The wireless range is much further than I expected. I have owned wireless headsets in the past and this beats all of them, hands down.

I LOVE this headset. The only problem I have is the wireless transceiver is on a long cord. My puppy decided to taste it and destroyed it. Not a big deal, except the company that makes this headset doesn’t sell the transceiver by itself. Very upsetting since the $150 dollar headset is now worthless as a wireless headset. I can still use it hardwired, but not why I spent that kind of money. You can buy any other replacement part except that one. Advice to all getting this is to make sure you buy the protection plan with it or go with a headset that you can purchase replacement parts. Otherwise the sound is great, the fit on my head is the best I’ve ever had, and the background noise canceling is the best I’ve ever seen.

Came from a Logitech G35, which was not a bad headset, but was on the lower end of the PC headset spectrum and was also looking for a quality wireless headset. The A7 is a quality headset. The wireless and noise cancelling are my favorite features. I can run to my bathroom which is about 50-60 feet from my gaming area and no signal loss. On my old Logitech people used to complain about background noise, now a thing of the past with the A7. My only complaint is that the velour ear pads didn't have enough cushion, and hurt my ears after about an hour or so. I had to order a set of leatherette pads from steel series website to remedy this problem. But I suspect most people won't have that problem, as I have a pretty big head. If the headset wasn't so good at everything else I woulda knocked the review down a star.

I have not tried wireless headsets for gaming before, but this set seems good. The sound quality is good, though the bass seems a little lacking. Tweaking the frequencies in the EQ settings to your preference is best. The 7.1 surround function is bad and should be disabled.
You should download the software for the headset. Only through that can you tweak the sound settings. You can save multiple settings/profiles. There are preset starting points. You have to have the software client open and click the banner in the window to access the sound settings.
Fortunately, this headset is wireless for PC and Playstation (Although, I do not have a Playstation 3 or 4). Unfortunately, it only works through wired connection with Xbox. The wireless capability for PC should lessen the chances of the wire getting a short in it and hindering use.
The default ear cups hurt my ears before too long. I have small ears that stick outward. Luckily, I had ear cups from my older HyperX Cloud II headset and they solved my ear pain. The HyperX Cloud II ear cups are vertically elongated instead of just circular and are a soft microfiber material.
The wireless range is decent and reaches 2-3 rooms away (or around 15-20 feet) before cutting out before you return to the computer/console.
The volume and power button locations are good and bad. They are bad because it is easy to swipe the main volume wheel on the left when taking the headset off or putting it on. You suddenly wonder why there is no sound. If you are wearing a hoodie, it is easy for the hood to swipe the volume wheel if you turn your head to the left.
The retractable mic is good and I have not experienced any problems yet. Overall, it is a good headset. The price may be somewhat steep, but I am not particularly experienced enough with headsets to say if the features are worth the price. One of the main selling points, 7.1 surround, is a wasted feature.

Owning several headsets (Logitech 430, 633, 933, Arctis 5, 7) my favorite to wear was the Arctis 5. The Arctis 7 has changed that, with both having their strong points.
The Arctis 5 is perhaps the lightest headset to wear. Comfortable for long periods of time, with non-leather ear pads. Less liked: it's wired. The Arctis 7 is not quite as lightweight, being wireless, but it still wears very lightly on the head. I find it very comfortable and when you factor in being wireless it scores very high.
The Arctis 7 sounds pretty good, and has software to configure it. Both the Logitech 633 & 933 outshine the 7 in sound, but both are heavier and bulkier. The 7 has no RGB lights if you're into such things, while both Logitechs & the Arctis 5 do.
Bottom line: good headset, excellent fit & weight.

I use this headset for competitive gaming on PC and casual gaming on my PS4. The earcups are some of the most comfortable I've ever tried and the skiband makes wearing them super comfortable for a long play session. I have a large head and I never get fatigued from wearing them. Sound quality is good and the mic is excellent for a gaming headset. The build quality is very sturdy. Happy with my purchase after using them for over the last few months.

Completely transforms games! Get immersed in the 3D surround using the Steel Series plug in. The wireless range is ridiculous. I had Spotify playing in my attic, on my PC, and could still listen in my basement. Very comfortable and the battery life is incredible. Note for Switch players: they turn on and off automatically when plugged into the Switch when you turn the Switch on and off. I thought this was cool, but unfortunately no support for wireless or surround via Switch, as of yet.

I tried several headsets, and returned all of them, before trying this one. This is a great device: comfortable, easy setup, great sound, good range.
It also has a little-touted feature that similar products do not have, which made it perfect for me: the USB dongle has a 3.5 line-in jack which you can use to wirelessly stream sound from any device with a 3.5 jack to the headphones. I use this to stream audio from my TV to the headphones, and it works great. I am pretty sure you lose the fancy 7.1 processing when you do this, but you do get excellent, rich sound with no distortion, and it does a great job of picking up background sounds etc without interfering with the dialogue). Among other things, you can use this feature as a workaround for streaming sound from the TV while using an Xbox, without plugging the headphones into the controller (though you can, of course, also plug the headphones into the controller). And as mentioned you can Stream pretty much anything using the line-in, so long as that device has a 3.5 jack, which very many things do.) The USB dongle also has a 3.5 line-out jack which automatically shuts down when the headphones are on, letting you easily switch between a stereo speaker and the headphones, for example. Not needed for my setup but a nice feature.
I was pleasantly surprised by the wireless range, too, which is a bit longer in my testing than what the product advertises: I can stream from my living room TV to the kitchen, which is at least 60' away, without losing the connection or even noticeably impairing its quality. (The arctis 7 advertises a 12 meter range.) YMMV, of course.
