This mouse is for the smaller hand. If you are using the mouse for a competitive gaming game, this mouse will make it so you accidentally click the right click instead of left. I would not purchase this product again.

I returned it, to big, heavy, Clicks not satisfying. Got the Logitech 303 instead, more click, smaller, lighter.

I've been searching for a new mouse for quite a long time. I've finally found it. I have large hands and have very few options. This mouse is extremely comfortable. The rubber side grips are fantastic and the rubberized top serves its purpose. The features are very comparable to other mice in the same price range. I like the larger and well placed side buttons. If you are looking for a gaming mouse with insane customization this is not the one for you. It has no customized weight kit and is a bit on the lighter side. It has a pretty standard button layout out and does not have all the options of the Sensei. This setup fits my preferences. I prefer to have a lower cost for a more streamlined product. I'm more concerned with comfort and great responsiveness. If you are looking for a larger ergonomic gaming mouse as an alternative to some of the other brands, I highly recommend the Rival.

If you are buying it for any type of gaming buy a different mouse. I would recommend the razor mice over this piece of junk.

It feels great, looks great, but there is a lot of stuttering and some known firmware issues that steelseries hasn't addressed.

I have never spent so much on something I can get for less than 10 bucks but it was honestly worth it. Gaming on PC has changed a lot and just the overall use is very noticeably different from my previous mouse. it works super smooth, doesn't stutter, and the easy to use software lets me tweak the count per inch the optics read (slow and speed the cursor). the only thing I didn't like about the mouse was the illumination. it looks awesome but it doesn't make all the colors it supposedly does. also, the colors aren't much different from each other within its own spectrum. in other words, all the greens on the chart don't look that much different illuminated and some even look way off compared to the color that I chose from the spectrum. this is something that you honestly have to mess with to be able to see for yourself. everybody sees colors differently. besides that however, the mouse itself receives a 6/5 for performance and comfort. FOR RIGHT HAND USERS ONLY

I missed my Razer Krait...left mouse button stopped clicking 2-3 years in. Got the Madcatz 3 after that, less than two years, stopped working. So I went all out, and was glad that they have full on gamer keyword/mouse displays at best buy now - got to hold anything before I bought. Glad I did. This mouse rocks, love the color options. The rubber grip is the best I've seen on any mouse. Very accurate mouse. Use for Halflife/Starcraft etc. Little big at first, as in length wise, but it's narrow, like the Krait. LOVE IT. Weights and all that is overrated for other mouses.

I have used a cheap, flimsy, plastic mouse forever now playing Battlefield 4, Battlefield Hardline and Rainbow Six Siege, and this is a GREAT new mouse. Feels great in the hand, side grips are extremely comfortable, lighting is great to go with your set-up illumination, CPI settings are great and it has a nice, satisfying weight to it. It does not feel cheap in any way.

    Great mouse for any gamer

I bought this product a little over a year ago now. It is the first gaming mouse that I purchased and used. I play my games on a laptop and I previously used to use a generic wireless mouse for both general purpose and gaming. I consider myself a casual gamer; I mostly play RTS games with my friends so I never needed anything serious. I decided to finally get an actual gaming mouse when I started playing games for longer than an hour or so at a time. I have been very satisfied with this product ever since I plugged it in for the first time. It feels very nice to hold on to. My previous mouse was small and mainly supposed to be used for casual use and to be more convenient than a trackpad. It became uncomfortable to use for extended periods of time, but with the Rival 300 I have not had any problems with extended use. Some other nice features of this product are that is has two fully customizable RGB locations on the mouse that can be set to any color that you like. It also has a few preset lighting choices built in with the software if you are like me and have a hard time committing to one single color all the time. It has 4 buttons on it, 5 if you include the scroll wheel. The normal right and left click as well as two more next to your thumb. I am a big fan of the buttons next to the thumb spot because they are also function as forward and backward buttons when using my laptop for general use. While in games I can keybind different functions to these buttons as well. The mouse also allows you to adjust the CPI as well as the acceleration to further increase the customizability of the mouse to fit the users liking. The Rival 300, just like all other Steelseries devices, comes with Steelseries engine functions. This is where the user can adjust all the different settings and customizations that I spoke about above and many more. Overall, I would give this product a 5/5-star rating. For the price of the product and the functions that it comes with and allows you to do it is totally worth the price whether you are just getting into gaming, a more casual gamer like myself, or you are looking for a cheaper mouse to get the job done. This is the product for you.

Bought as a casual gaming mouse primarily for FPS's, works great. Price is not bad for all the features. I like the full color options to match the rest of my rig. The profile switching button comes in handy to switch between normal computing and gaming mode. Back and forward buttons are well placed also, and rubber side grips are welcomed.
