Nice thought for a mouse but its weight is what kills it. Wouldn't recommend unless it is just for work.

Needed a new mouse after my 2 year old Razer decided to continue having a double-click problem. I've used Steelseries mousepads for years and decided it was time to try one of their mice. The 700 is an excellent fit for my hand and the buttons feel very solid. The main L/R buttons also feel much more premium than my previous mouse.
The only thing I wish could be adjusted is the weight. It's definitely a heavy mouse. Reminds of of the old wireless Microsoft mice that were heavy due to the batteries. It's fine for MMO use like WoW but if I was a very competitive FPS player I can see how it might be fatiguing to use after a while.
The included software is easy to use, though I wish there was a little more customization for the lighting such as color modes. If this mouse continues to function well and not develop any weird problems like the Razer, I'll definitely be buying more Steelseries mice in the future.

Great Mouse if you prefer weighted

I own a lot of gaming mice. Typically I play with a mouse that is 85-105g in weight. This one weighs more due to the OLED and customizable sensor that you can remove/switch with a laser sensor (I would recommend staying with the optical that is included)
Tracking is excellent on the mouse, Easily compares to my G403, EC2-A, DA Chroma, and other highly regarded models. I feel like the input lag is even lower on this device, however it could be placebo effect.
The clicks feel very good, and the shape is better than my Rival 300, just slightly. The clicks and shape are better for my hand size. I prefer palm grip style, and this mouse helps with that, although it would be really easy to do claw grip as well. The shape is for right-hand only.
OLED screen looks really nice, and the haptic feedback works well in CS GO. I would like to see Steelseries expand the amount of games that it will integrate with.
All in all if you prefer using a higher DPS to swipe less in an FPS game then the extra weight is not a big deal. This mouse glides very smoothly on a HyperX Large mousepad. The drag is very minimum.
It is all preference, and this one will not disappoint, if you don't mind the heavier feel.

The future in gaming mice is here. I have used many mice to game with. I have over 5000 hours in Dota2 with Logitech and Steelseries mice including the G500, G500s, Sensai, and the original Rival. This tops them all. I enjoy heavier mice, but switched to the sensai when my wrist began to show symtoms of carpal tunnel syndrome. This mouse has amazing weight and the reinforced buttons make clicking feel like a premium experience. The custom LED is great, the vibration features are awesome, and the RGB lighting is swell. Love this mouse and hope it lasts me another 5000 hours.

After returning a similar in price competitive RGB mouse, I decided to try the SteelSeries for just a few bugs more. There is no comparison from this mouse to any mouse I have tried. First thing you'll notice is the weight, it feels solid. It tracks smooth with ZERO jumping or lag. There is a vibrate on timer feature which I love for gaming. The Software is good, the RGB options are decent. There is an OLED Display on the side which to me is pointless but that's just my 2 cents. All in all its an A+ mouse for gaming, Photoshoping, and daily use.

Poor Mouse Don't Get

This is one of the worst mice that I have ever bought. It is so heavy and don't feel good in the hands. It is made out of very cheep plastic with no rubber for grip. The rubber on the bottom of the mouse stops it from gliding smooth and it impossible to use. When you are in games there is a delay when you are playing and not a fun time. If I could return this mice i would but is is over the time to return. Buying a new Mice tomorrow and would recommend any razer mouse because I only ever had good experience with razer with all their products. I even tried other products be this company and had the same result with there head set sound verry tinny and built cheep. DONT get anything from this company. Happy to get a new razer mice tomarrow.

I believe the price is a bit high for this product, considering there's nothing too outstanding about it. The OLED is alright, but not necessity. The actual shape of the mouse is a bit awkward, but after a little while of usage it starts to feel ok. It is definitely a heaver mouse but for me that's not too big of a deal, just enough hotkeys for FPS games aswell.

Heavy, Terrible Button Placement, and Haptic options limited to 3 games.
Nearly 160 grams makes this the heaviest mouse I've ever used. With large hands, I can not smoothly reach the from two side buttons. The farthest of which is impossible to hit during gameplay.
Haptic options are limited. You can not create haptic feedback for games that do not specifically support the mouse.
More gimmick than function. I'm dissapointed with the direction SteelSeries is going.

This mouse is so good in so many ways but their is one problem with it is it dont glide because they put rubber on the bottom of the mouse and it restricts your ability to do thing like play games and other things i have never seen a mouse like this and will be returning the mouse

I have had the Steelseries Sensei for years now and decided to get a new mouse. Why not try the new model that they have. I read a review on here saying that the mouse is great, a little heavy but overall a solid mouse.
Drove to best buy, bought it.
Got home, plugged it in and this is where i will say i was very disapointed. First off the mouse is heavy, not that big of a deal but the sensei was super light compared to it. The REAL CON is the cord that plugs into the mouse itself. There is a rubber aspect directly after it plugs in that points down and drags on the mousepad. I have a steel series QCK mousepad that is like plastic and the drag is horrible. I play LOL and cannot stand the feelings of the mouse being dragged one way or another. Went to amazon and just bought another sensei because it never let me down.
