Love this mini series and a great addition to my collection.

One of Stephen King’s best! Recalls so many memories when I first viewed this when I was much younger. After having read the book, I really felt that the actors portraying each character did such a great job. My favorites were Gary Sinese, Rob Lowe, Ed Harris, and Jamey Sheridan as Randall Flagg.

Theirs is the original version. This is the best version. This appeared on tv back in the day over a 2 or 3 day period. Never saw the re-make nor do I plan to. Classic story of good vs evil (betrayal) and ultimate sacrifices to save the World.

The Stand is one of my favorite Stephen King tv series. I was thrilled to see it was being restored to HD. This won't disappoint you. They restore this by having black bars on the side, but it really cleans up the picture. Also having all 4 parts on one disc is great rather than the 2 dvds in the past. A must own for any fan of 90's tv series.

This is a good movie a little dated but the message is there. Stephen King is the best at what he does he may not reach all audiences into main stream filming but if you watch it with a open mind you will enjoy.A new adaption is in in the process of filming hopefully they dont mess it up.This movie is in my top 20 interesting characters and story make it a favorite.

I wasn’t expecting much when I purchased this as far as an improvement in audio and video, but I was definitely wrong. There is a surprisingly good video transfer that clears up a lot of the old stuff that I noticed on my DVD version. Overall a great release.

one of y favorite Stephen King movies'. I do not know how it compares to the remake.

I first saw this on VHS in the mid-90s, and loved it. I owned the DVD and in this modern age, the DVD looks terrible! This blu-ray, while not perfect, is likely as good as this series will ever look on a home video format. It isn’t particularly great compared to newer movies or series, but that is more due to limitations of the time I am assuming. This is a series that doesn’t hold up all the time, but if you grew up with it as I did, you will still enjoy it.

The quality of the transfer is amazing. It's hard to believe this was a TV miniseries originally given the quality of the picture and sound.

the movie is great. the pitcher is good much clearer. the sound is the same. but i do like the movie.

Having been a Stephen King fan since I was a kid (his fault I am petrified of clowns), This one took me awhile to read with the uncut version running over 1500 pages. When i found out they were doing a mini series i was seriously wondering how they could pull it off if at all since its very ambitious. I was pleasantly surprised. The stand outs are Rob Lowe, Ruby Dee, Bill Fagerbakke (Coach), and Laura San Giacomo. The show down at the end always brings me to tears and gives me chills in a good way. warning though. it is 6 hours long so you may not be able to watch it in one sitting but trust me, its worth it.
