I have the original game for my GameCube. It has come a LONG way. The graphics are sick and the amount of players available for use gives you the ability to play it all day and not get bored.

This game has everything you've come to expect from the SSB franchise. It's packed with content and fun. The graphics, gameplay and sound are great. What holds it back is that it's of course on a small screen and the controls are too small to handle for folks with bigger hands like me. Also, to me the true SSB experience is sitting on a couch with 3 others on a bigger screen and duking it out. For those on the fence just wait for the Wii U version.

Combining numerous characters throughout Nintendo's massive library of games and several others, Super Smash Bros. 3DS (and Wii U) becomes one of the greatest multiplayer fighting games that exists to this very day. With several games modes from time trials, mini-games, and missions there is a lot to receive and enjoy from the purchase.

Beware of ruining your circle pad, otherwise it is jam packed with content.

Got the game as a Christmas gift for my son. He loves it

Bought this for my 4.5 year old to play on his DS and he loves it! I'm not sure the ease of the game but he hasn't asked me once to help him out! Where with games like Sonic he comes running to me to help him get to the next level or up a wall. I bought the DS to occupy him so I can get things done! This game has been great for him and he really enjoys it!

Fun game to play with friends. Tons of content and hours of fun.

I got a 3DS for a select few games, this being one of them and it was completely worth it! I'm a big fan of Super Smash and love that I can take it on the go with me now. The only complaints I have are that some content (such as the event mode) is only on the WiiU version and that sometimes playing online is laggy. Overall though, a great super smash game!

same fun game as original before the 3d version. kids love it. a little expensive for a hand held device game. the 3d graphics are a little over rated. but kids do enjoy it.

Smash on the 3DS is amazing. There is so much to unlock, so many different modes to play, and so many characters to learn. All of the challenges in the game are a blast to complete though some can be a bit rough you get a sense of accomplishment for doing just that. The online mode runs smooth as silk as long as your 3DS has no problems connecting to your router. The one and only thing I am not a fan of and most could agree with me is the contols, after many years of playing Smash games on bigger controllers such as the N64 controller, GameCube, or even the classic controller playing on the 3DS can take some getting used to but is completely doable. With all of this said I can hardly wait for Super Smash Bros for Wii U, if you don't own a 3DS or Wii U, this will be the game to do it for.

I remember growing up playing this game on my N64 and to now play it on my 3DS it feels a bit nostalgic but it's also fun seeing who else plays. Nothing much has changed other than updating the characters but the old school ones are still there which I love most. Definitely a great game for anyone who likes a good button masher from time to time

Good variety of characters to choose from. Did take some time for me to get used to the controls on the 3DS compared to the Wii U version. Not a big deal though.

Although I am a Smash fan, I was a little hesitant on picking this one up, especially for the 3DS. But I've had a lot of fun with this game and I think it's great that I can enjoy a console title on the go. Although, there are some features missing in the 3DS version compared to the WiiU version, there is enough there for it to be fun.

It would take pages and pages to explain all that makes the Smash Bros series such a fan favorite, but it starts with the easy to learn yet difficult to master controls, the unique physics based gameplay, and the fact that every game is essentially a digital museum to all of the great Nintendo franchises over the years. The 3DS entry of Smash nails all of that and adds the ability to customize characters, create personalized Mii Fighters, an improved online experience, and of course play Smash on the go. The roster is huge and characters unlock quickly, which does contribute to the single player experience feeling a bit more shallow than Brawl, but there's still plenty to do, and the active online community will likely provide replay value for years to come.
