The second time I played a DVD, my two year old got a bit excited and pulled on the audio cable, the plug broke off and got stuck inside the hole. Now one of the screen is useless. The quality is very poor so make sure your kids don't pull on the cables....since this product is precisely for kids, this might be hard to do.

I purchased this product April 30 and today is May 18th. It’s been out of the box a week and the power cord is already broke. Shady product.

Dislike that there is no volume wheel for easy adustment. It does have volume buttons but i prefer a wheel. The remote is handy. Also it seems to not remeber where in the movie you were if you turn the power off to sabe the battery.

This device works well and is pretty straightforward to use. Only suggestions for improvement would be a faster battery recharge, a longer battery life, and a louder maximum volume. Not sufficient for long drives without having it plugged in, and difficult to hear the sound unless the drive is very quiet. Picture is clear, device maintains playback over road bumps.

Bought the product for a long trip with two children. Worked great and kept them entertained. Wish volume went alittle higher, but all in all good investment.

I bought this because we was going on a road trip that was going to be a 12 hour drive. My kids are pleased with the size of the screen. Once they reviewed the product, it was easy enough for them to figure out. I am very happy with my purchase. I also!! Like the extra insurance I bought on it. Where if anything happens to it, I take it right back to the store <-- that is what won me! None of that calling to a middle or 3rd company crap.
I also like the price I paid for the product!

Broke immediately - Stay away!!!

Stay away from this unit!!! or this brand all together!
Bought this @ Winchester BestBuy in early August 2018. A month later a support ring broke just by adjusting the position on the head rest. Secondary screen also stopped working shortly after. With less a 2 month of use i had to throw it all away, the main DVD player was not able to play original DVDs from start to finish. It would fail half way through the movie.
Terrible quality product and terrible manufacturer response. I filed a manufacturer warranty claim and this is literally what they told me: "We appreciate you sending all the necessary information. Upon reviewing your case, it confirms that the unit has a physical damage. Please be advised that such condition voids the manufacturer’s warranty."

It's a good product to purchase for an option in your car. The only issues is the cords to hook up the second monitor are short, that when connected between headrests get in the way and easily break the ports they plug into. Definitely recommend the extended warr6for this!! They need to make the cords longer so one can setup do they are pitot the way.

Bought this for the kiddos when we go on road trips. The units strap onto the back of the front headrests pretty well. Cables are long enough to tuck away and there are both 120v house plugs as well as 12v car power plugs. There is one master unit that holds the DVD and holds the controls. The second only displays and has volume adjustments. The remote comes in handy. You will need to be in back to remove DVDs and press play, rewind etc. Overall, it gets the job done and makes long road trips more tolerable.

At the last minute I decided to drive from NY to Florida for a family wedding and needed to bring my 5 year daughter on the long trip. I picked this up out of desperation the day before we left and it was a complete lifesaver. The system was easy enough to use that my five year old could change out, play and pause movies at her leisure with little to no involvement on my part which allowed me to focus on driving. Definitely worth it if you have kids on a long trip!

Our other one broke on our way to see family. Needed replacement for ride home. Son was thankful. Only downside was volume would only go up to 20 which didn't seem loud enough to block out road noise. But son hasn't complained

Entertainment for my babies

Hitting the road without something to entertain my babies can make a trip way too long, so, having a device with dual screen to play their favorite movies is really nice and helpful; good picture quality and decent sound so I can play my music on the front without interrupting their movie. I only had to buy a longer power cord because the one they include in the box is too short, probably I'm going to buy a longer audio cable as well so I can hide it and make the installation look better.

The setup was easy. But for some reason the dvd player has a huge delay when playing a dvd(very annoying). Within 2 months the loop on the back of the player that holds the belt to the player broke. I contacted support and after days of going back and forth sending pictures of the problem, the serial number of the unit and a copy of the receipt, they state that they don't cover the part that broke. Then two weeks into the third month of ownership the A/V plug on the second screen breaks(I'm guessing from the weight of the A/V cable?) and fell inside of the unit. Now I'm down to one screen. If for some reason you decide to purchase this unit, make sure you PURCHASE THE WARRANTY THAT BEST BUY OFFERS!! This way you don't have to deal with overseas support and you just have to swap the unit out with Bust Buy. I most certainly will never buy Sylvania again.

Saddly we have been searching for a quality DVD player and I suppose the search is still on. These worked great for about 2 weeks and then they began to skip and not playing brand new DVDs. It does not pick up where your child left off at either so you are constantly having to sit and wait for it to load and then get the DVD back where they were when they got out of the car even if you run in the store for 5 minutes. It takes you 20 minutes to get back on the road. Needless to say we wish we could return them.

It's a simple, basic DVD player that does what it's supposed to. Picture is OK and the sound meets the needs for entertaining the kids on a road trip.
My biggest issue is that I actually had to buy it twice. The first time, installed it right out the door and it was faulty. Had to return it and get another one, which then worked fine. Quality is not the best, but for the price I can live with it. There are better ones out there if cost is not an issue for you.

Entertaining DVD players for grandkids

The dual DVD players worked great for my two grandkids as they watched their favorite movies on a long road trip. Unfortunately, the plastic piece that holds the strap on one of the DVD players broke so my granddaughter had to hold her DVD player on her lap. Fortunately, Best Buy replaced the DVD players without any problem.

Nice screen size, sound and look. The only not so good thing is that the units have fragile plastic holder straps on the back. They brake easily so it's better to purchase insurance. Price is good only 90 dlls. Overall good product and good video quality. I got two units for my vehicles.

While I know portable DVD players are not the most reliable, this exceeded my expectations. An upgrade from our previous set, larger screen and doesn't have to be plugged in if charged. The screens are light weight and pause when turned off (a necessity with children). They stay well put when strapped onto the headrests.
So far no complaints!

We drove from Ohio to Orlando with a 5 and 3 year old and the trip would have been a nightmare without these. They were easy to install and I was able to operate them and switch discs from the front seat. The cords were a little annoying but that is my only complaint. We thought about buying the OEM DVD player through Chevy for the trip which would have been close to $2,000 but we are very thankful we bought these. Anyone looking for a portable DVD player I would say that these kept our sanity on the 2,000 mile trip. We have iPads and thought the kids could entertain themselves but the DVD player was the way to go.
