I was very impressed by the size of the screen and all the ports that can be used to watch a video or see a bunch of pictures. Or whatever your needs are with entertainment. I say it's user-friendly because my mother has Alzheimer's and she's able to use this Sylvania DVD player portable. It has very good sound quality. It's not heavy so that you can take it from place to place. Buttons are very clear and understandable. It also comes with a remote that is very useful so you don't have to keep getting up and down. I've had another one that was smaller but this one outshines them all. Sincerely Jen

I just got it in the mail and tested it. First thing is packaging could have been better; they legit sent it in it’s original box! The neighbors could have stolen it if they noticed what is was; mail man left it in plain site. Box was a little damaged, could have easily been stolen or fell from box; the item so far does seem ok. The screen is huge so that’s great; picture a good size laptop. The sound is great with the DVD I tested. The downside to the remote is that it won’t work if the screen is closed like when the screen it facing out. The layout of the item is not as seen in the pictures but it’s ok. I haven’t tested it on the road so I will update my review based on whether it skips or how battery life lasts. One thing I will point out when the screen it facing and it’s closed, when you reopen it the movie will briefly pause then restart where you left off. Not sure why.

Perfect replacement and love the screen size. Just wish volume could be louder.

We bought this portable DVD/cd player almost a year ago and have gotten plenty of use from it already! It has a swivel screen for better viewing and you can connect extra speakers for higher quality sound. Would buy this again for a nice present!!

It's been a great unit to have for many situations. I use a lot during my lunch hour or if I cannot watch what I want at home. I can just pop in one of my favorite discs, plug in my headphones and I am set. Thx, CQ.

Bought this item online & picked up at store. First problem, they gave me a previously returned portable DVD player! That should have never happened especially with Covid still happening in our area! I could hear the player sliding around in the box, there was no packaging around the items, the headphones looked like they had been used. Had to go back the next day & exchange for one that was not returned before. The new one was nicely packaged & untouched, player works great, quality is not great like blu ray but it does it’s job! Also the player looks different than it does online, first 2 pictures are of the returned player. The rest are of the new player.

Love the big rotatable screen. Remote control is very handy. Love that it plays music and will view photos. Wish it had the ability to charge while operating. Volume is nice. Nice weight.

My new Sylvania DVD Portable is a pleasure to watch DVD Movies, Exercise Tapes and CDs. The screen is perfect and can be seen in any direction as it swivels. I highly recommend Sylvania 13.3" player for all ages.

Received on Tues, returned to ups the next day,i wanted something with rechargeable battery,the power cord has to be attached to view movies.Claims to be $119 for sale $89.Cheap plastic more like $29.00 if that much.No it's so cheap couldn't justify my $89 so will find something at least solid. screen cheap looking colors not sharp.

Within ONE week of my daughter using this (only under supervision) , a quarter of the screen has gone black, and multiple dvds haven’t worked in this that we bought brand new along with this player. Very disappointing considering what I paid. I’ll be returning it sometime this week, unfortunately I live two hours away from the nearest store and returning it online was obnoxious so I have to make the trip there .

I purchased this DVD player to use at home but in locations other than where the television lives. I use it plugged into household electricity so don't know how well it works on battery power. I like that it is light-weight so truly portable. The screen is a nice size so I can see details in the picture easily, a real advantage if I am watching an instructional video. The sound is of reasonable quality, but the maximum volume is fairly soft without earphones. (My hearing is normal.) In general, it is a simple machine that works well so is good value for the price.

We used this mounted to the rear of my large car's headrest to entertain the kid on a long drive, and I'm pretty sure he felt like he was sitting in a movie theater since this is so big. The player is basic without many options, isn't the highest resolution and had occasional problems when we hit bumps, but a toddler was quiet for a long trip, so I can't complain too much. Battery life exceeded the 2-hour movie he watched (without headphones-volume turned halfway up), but I have no idea how much life it had left before plugging it in. Occasionally, a bump in the road would cause it to skip and start the movie back from the beginning which was a pain, but the remote made finding the right scene again pretty easy. We'll use it again on long drives. If you've got a small car or backseats, this might be too big of a player/screen. The size could also be an issue since it's easier to kick and make the movie skip if you've got a toddler. Next time, we'll try downloading a movie digitally and try that instead.

WE ARE COMPLETELY HAPPY AND SATISFIED WITH THIS DVD PLAYER! PICTURE IS CLEAR, IT IS PORTABLE AND IT IS EASY BREEZY TO SET IT UP. WE HAVE USED THIS EVERY EVENING FOR ALMOST A YEAR AND HAVE HAD NO ISSUES. THE SOUND QUALITY IS VERY GOOD AND HAS EARPHONE CAPABILITY. SWIVEL SCREEN IS A GREAT FEATURE. THE REMOTE CONTROL IS VERY USEFUL. THE SIZE AND THE FACT THAT IT IS LIGHTWEIGHT MAKES IT VERY EASY TO TAKE ALONG WITH US WHEREVER WE GO. THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT AT A GREAT PRICE.

Very good item for the money. Large screen, picture is good, nothing to do cartwheels over, but good. Sound is good as well, but again, nothing spectacular. I can't comment on the durability of this item as I have only had it a couple of weeks. (This is why I didn't fill out anything regarding "quality" below. But for the price, I am very satisfied so far. Another good thing about this product is that all function buttons are on the dvd player itself. Some other dvd players have it where only the remote control has certain function buttons, and if that remote gets lost/misplaced, there goes your ability to access certain functions without having to purchase another remote. Device is very light.

Love it, super bright crisp picture, sound just great. I actually bought this for a present but keeping it myself as I was so impressed when I just had to try it out. Love the large picture, plan on taking it to big Graduation party. Have told few friends about it. Don't hesitate to buy, oh so easy to use. Lightweight, super quality.

I got this to help my Dad who has early onset dementia because he loves watching movies on his computer - but had a hard time remembering which buttons to press on the computer - and he would like to watch movies in different rooms in the house - I thought this would be perfect for him - however the buttons needed a little more prompting than he was capable - and it was a little confusing for him to use - the portability was excellent - and the weight of the machine could not be lighter - however - we still needed to put post-it prompts to what buttons to press to keep it going - Also - the volume on the machine was not loud enough - but he does need hearing aids - I did hook up portable speakers and that seemed to help. Good product - but not excellent.

The Sylvania 13.3 Portable DVD Player has met my expectations. I bought it about one month ago and have watched several movies on it at my home. The picture quality and sound are good. Most of the DVDs I watched, I rented from the local town library. A few times a picture would freeze. At first I thought there was something wrong with the DVD player. On closer examination, I noticed several scratches on the DVD. I found that if I cleaned the DVD by wiping the rented DVD with a wet tissue, this would help eliminate picture freezes. I do not have any problem with DVDs I purchased because there are no scratches. I also found out that when I return rented DVDs to the library, I should let the librarian know if there were any scratches on the DVD that made the picture freeze. The library has a "DVD buffer" that cleans up the DVD. I have not used the DVD in my car since I am almost always the driver. In summary, after one month of use, I am satisfied with my purchase.

This player displays a beautiful picture, has good sound quality and is very lite weight. The only drawback is that it takes 4 to 6 hours to charge and only plays for 2 hours so if your watching a long movie past 2 hours it will shut off.

Got this player for my mother so she can watch her DVDs in bed. It's light weight, easy to use and she says the sound and picture quality are better then she expected. She's very happy with this portable DVD player, plus it was on sale.

I actually bought this to use with my workout videos. It’s perfect! Easy to use light weight I can move it around Set in on the shelf set it on the floor wherever I need it! Great picture and sound and easy to use. Nice large screen!
