Blue tooth needs to work better

My last cheap phone worked really well with the Blue tooth to my KIA. I could say "Call Mother" and it would dial her number. This one will not do that. It does have voice dial. I found out that what that is. If you know the number, you can say "Dial Number", then speak the number and it will call it. This is a problem for me since I do not know all the numbers in my phone. It does let you answer thru the radio like the old phone. There is a button on the side that activates the camera mode. it is way too easy to turn it on and not wanting to do that. It is right where my fingers go when I open and close the flip phone. Has good reception, doesn't drop calls, sounds good.

I am, quite honestly, a dinosaur. I dislike too much technology, and I use my cell phone infrequently because I refuse to be tethered to an electronic leash. This little Samsung allows me to operate it without first consulting an encyclopedia of instructions. I can call, receive texts, and take a photo if my camera doesn't happen to be handy. It works for a person 'of a certain age', who wants the utility of a cell phone, but doesn't care about the bells and whistles. A person who is not tied to technology in their daily lives will find this handy little, easily operated piece of engineering refreshingly simple and to the point.

i wanted an unlimited nationwide talk/text plan under $40. the carrier i chose had a few inexpensive phones to choose from. (my previous phone had been a samsung and it was very rugged, inexpensive, easy to use, and had a very long battery life). this phone was on sale and only cost $20. everyone tells me that they can hear me very clearly, better than my old phone; in fact my one problem in terms of reception is that i'm sometimes too loud. i can hear everyone else just as clearly. the texting ability is superfast for a simple keypad. if there are things i would change about the phone, i would change the default alphabet to "abc" as opposed to the "t-word" type default, which is terrible-- meaning, useless. but after a few times of using the phone to text you'll be able to very quickly change to "abc" alphabet before you compose a text. it's an extra step, but it literally takes an extra second. it's annoying at first, but again, you'll get used to it: and the keypad is the fastest that i've ever used. two other things i would change: my charger does not signal when the charge is complete-- that seems stupid and i wonder if that's how it's supposed to work. i've had the phone for several months and it holds a charge just fine. (my old samsung flip-phone model's original battery lasted two years-in fact it still works but i had to change phones with my new carrier). and one other thing i don't like is that it takes a very specific kind of plug for an ear bud-- and this is not readily available in stores-- even radio shack; but i did see it on amazon. other than that the bottom line is that this phone is solid and inexpensive with great reception and is PERFECT if you want a simple phone for texting and talking that lets you talk all day. that's why i give it 5 stars. the camera, as simple as it is, even has a zoom feature. this is a great little phone.

    Standard Flip Phone

This phone is like a throwback to the first flip phone I owned in the 1990s, except this one has a color display and takes pictures. I got this phone to use (as a telephone) outside the US where my Verizon iPhone will not work. It satisfies that need. The sound quality is good and battery life is excellent. I never did get used to text messaging using my old flip and now I remember why. But, I do not do much texting while traveling, so it's not that big a deal. The pay as you go, or don't pay if you don't go is perfect for my occasional use. If you want a dumb cell phone for voice calling, it is hard to beat this one for the price.

Got this for my mom when she couldn´t use the Smartphone I got her. This was easier to use, without so many bells and whistles, but still had a few things (according to mom). The Smartphone has long since died, but this little fellow is still working well.

I bought this phone for my 4th grade son. He needed the phone just I case when mom couldn't arrive on time due to traffic to pick him up at soccer practice or swimming lessens. This phone has FDN (fixed dialed number) setting, so that he can only call my wife and my cell phone. Also, this is prepaid phone which costs only <$10/month because I bought $100 for 1 year. No internet is another good things. Best phone for kids at emergency. Small size. Phone is cheap <$30. 10 star.

I use this phone for incoming business calls and it works quite well. Good sound clarity, voicemail is easy to utilize, and the battery lasts much longer than other phones. But if more than 15 or so calls come in before I am able to respond the older numbers get replaced so I lose contact information for potential clients. The price is low, but these days I think you can get older iPhone models for less. Overall it fits my needs and functions well.

If you are not in desperate need or want of a smart phone and your life doesn't revolve around the latest apps, you just need a dependable phone and you don't want to spend a sizable amount of money, this is the phone for you. Don't buy it if you need a big display or you want to take lots of pix. It's just a nice pocket-sized tool.

So, recently phone-less after my Blackberry Pearl died (just as the iPhone 5S came out and NONE at the memory level I wanted were available anywhere in Manhattan) I bought this phone to have something to make a call if I had to. The phone works well and has very few bells and whistles which I'm kind of digging. It will become my glove box emergency phone. I get a real kick out of using this flip phone - it reminds me of my first cell! Colleagues tease me that I must be up to something clandestine to be using a burner phone. On the street, I get double takes when I pull out this phone, then they look like they feel sorry for me. It's both amusing and a sad commentary that people 'look down their phones' at me.

This a great what I would call "extra" phone, since it's a pre-paid phone I bought this phone to use in case of travel for certain people in the family who are not from this country to use to stay in contact while they went to Disney World. The phone does what it is suppose to do call quality is good, and the phone ringer is pretty loud for such a small phone. The only thing I would say negative would be that don't buy this phone if think your going to be able to take great pictures, I would say they are VGA quality at best, however you should already know this buying such a low priced phone. if you're going to use it for just talk and text then it's a good buy.

Purchased this phone for the price of a replacement battery of an older samsung flip phone. Hard to find flip phones (not-so-smart-phones) at a reasonable price, seems like the carriers want everyone using a smartphone including the elderly who just want to make and receive calls. Even though this is a prepaid phone you can just slide-in your old SIM card and voila, you just replaced your old phone at a deep discount from what the carrier would charge for a similar device.

I get a lot of unwanted text messages & phone calls and wrong numbers from people I don't know I suspect they are reusing the phone number from t-mobile.I unable to find charger for my car base on the plug socket that's in the phone. The phone loses a signals or come broken communication. The reason I bought it was &19.99 and I wanted a flip phone. It takes time to familiarize yourself with the navigation of the phone commands.Newer models are base or similar to the t-139 in design and function. Its plastic so its vulnerable for breakage,Recommend it store in its own holster

This is a very basic phone, but for the price you pay, you won't sweat it, if your kids breaks it. The only thing I don't like is how it tries to predict the word you are texting and it makes it hard to actually text if it gets the word wrong. Overall, my kid needs a phone for contact not for games, so it works really well.

Purchased for my 80 year old dad on our T-Mobile plan. Works fine for him - very easy to use. Reception with T-Mobile can be spotty at times but I don't think that is an issue with the phone. Nice big buttons for senior citizens to use. It's a basic phone to be used strictly as a phone. Trying to text on this would be terrible, but that's not what it's designed to be.

Needed a cheap phone after grandma lost hers. Since she's already on our T-Mobile plan, we got this to replace the one she lost (Since she doesn't need a smartphone, just something to call) It does it's job. It was easy to use, and its cheap. I would recommend. One thing tough, I'm not sure if it's unlocked, if your looking for one that is, I'm not sure if this will work with a AT&T sim, but might be worth looking into if you need it for that service provider.

Get this if you want a phone. Just a phone that works for calling and texting. The battery will last a week on standby. Don't get this if you want more than a phone. It is a sturdy, compact little flip phone like the ones everybody had 10 years ago.
