This TV is quite amazing for the price. The colors are bright and vibrant and picture clear. The fact that it has Dolby Vision and Atmos is AMAZING. My big issue is their packaging of the TV. The box and foam is more than protective but the tape they put on the screen is the issue. The first one I bought (I exchanged it) had big squares of what looked like tape marks that I could not get off no matter what I did. Also along the top and bottom right where the tape sits the same marks. After I exchanged it the second one I got is much much better but under light you can see some small marks that were left. They don't affect the picture and you can't see them unless you look hard when the tv is off. They should not be there period tho. Still recommend the TV highly as long as you don't get one with huge marks.

I love this TV!!! I also don't love this tv. The motion and picture is almost top notch what you would get on more expensive brands like Samsung and LG. I love the edge to edge frame of the TV although it's not slim at all which makes it a fairly heavy TV. If you get a wall mount go for sanus full motion. 150 to 250 dollar range. You'll feel more secure in your TV hanging from the wall plus if you have a studio apartment the mount motion can extend in any direction. I can watch TV while I'm cooking, relaxing in living room or laying on my bed. The volume also is tremendous. Best volume I've seen on TV without having to use external speakers. On 20 is perfect. As you start getting to 50 it's already movie theater sounding and we haven't even got to 100 lol. Video games look amazing on here. Netflix 4k is amazing and almost any other 4k content like prime. Roku menu and tcl interface is much faster and responsive than previous tcl models. Menu appears almost instantly upon turning on TV. Now only concern I have is I seen a few banding issues even had one banding issue where the whole TV banded couldn't see nothing. Hasn't happened for a while now so we'll see. Also there are a few blooming issues where you'll see some light blooming in certain scenes. Last but not least, the glare can be pretty heavy depending on your room lighting. This TV is a homerun for the value. TV is amazing if you could get past certain things. Maybe most of this issues could be fixed with software updates so we'll see.

I checked out all the TVs on display at Best Buy. I tend to favor the Sony sets because I’ve had good luck in the past and they’re of good quality. Samsung looked good as well though I’ve never tried one. At the store they make it impossible to really compare different companies because you don’t see the same video playing on all sets. Seems the most promoted sets are Samsung and Sony . I tried to compare the tcl set but the display model was 7 feet off the floor and angled downward, I asked the salesman to hear the sound he had to turn it way up to be audible. I wasn’t impressed. So I decided maybe spend $1500 and get the Samsung 55” inch it had good sound without a sound bar which I desired. Well I went to a different Best Buy to pick up the tv (since it was out of stock) only to find that I was at the wrong Best Buy and I wasn’t gonna travel any further. So I decided to cancel the Samsung and give the tcl 6 series newest model a try. They almost tried to sell me the old model good thing I checked the model number before I accepted the box. Well I got the set home set it up and man was I surprised. It had great sound, clear dialogue, and an excellent picture and I saved a bundle. I’ve had it 10 days no problems with wifi no glitches, no problems at all. I especially like the Roku operating system. It has voice option which works great and is super easy to operate. I’m very happy with my purchase I got a good unit and the picture is very good for its price point and the sound was better than many other sets I checked out. I totally agree with all the positive reviews on this set which was professionally reviewed. If you get a good draw then you can’t go wrong with this set.

We chose this TV to replace our old CRT after seeing it recommended as "the best" budget or good-for-price tv on multiple review articles for 2021.
Pros:
-Easy to set up (i.e., screwing the legs in)
-A built-in tunnel in the tv's right leg to run the power cable through (not so for the left side, where all the inputs are)
-Thin bezels, sleek look
-Individual picture settings for each HDMI input, including "picture mode" presets and further detailed settings for contrast, sharpness, color, motion interpolation, etc.
-I like the light under the logo on the bottom of the tv that shows when the remote is communicating with it, but I believe you can disable that
-Theme settings for Roku, personally lol
-Ability to customize app order on Home screen
-Ability to customize input icons and names separately
- Easy to set up apps to accounts, usually just pulling up a link and inputting a pairing code
Cons:
-DO NOT USE THE ROKU REMOTE, it's poop. Use the Roku app for the remote, it's far superior. The remote constantly runs on WiFi which drains the remote batteries. We haven't had the tv for a month and already replaced the batteries once, only for the connection to quickly go poor again. With the app, communication is as smooth as it should be. However, idk if you can use the app early as setting up the tv for use. The weak connection from the Roku remote made inputting my email to register for Roku take 5ever
-Immediately after setting up the Roku app on my andy bf's phones and turning the tv off, the next time I turned the tv on, the sound of the menu effects and tv was messed up into a loud static-y noise. My bf reset the tv (I wasn't there to see how) to fix this, but ended up turning off the menu sound effects to avoid hearing this again. He looked this sound thing up as another problem that happens with some Roku tvs nowadays
-Though I picked a screensaver for Roku, I only saw the default screensaver when it activated once, so idk why the screensaver I downloaded hasn't worked
-This is very specific, but I've been watching anime on HBO Max, and I've found at least one title (Ride Your Wave) where you can't select a language option, it's only in English, but if you go to the website proper you can select English or Japanese, so I couldn't watch in Japanese dub on the tv app for some reason. Idk if this is the tv's fault though, lol
-Related to above, I've had some issues with the language not staying on Japanese for some anime episodes (still HBO Max) which I haven't figured out yet
Notes:
-The distance between the legs is 43.3", according to TCL's website, for those who need it for furniture sizing (we did. We bought a 60" W × 18" D table).
-Not such a connoisseur to provide any input about sharpness, contrast, etc. It looks fine to us, and as mentioned the pictures settings are highly customizable

First time 4k TV such a huge jump from the 2008 flatscreen i been using. this is for my bedroom also bought a long desk to put it on from amazon. amazing viewing angles can comfortably view laying down or sitting in different spots.
4k really adds an extra layer of depth even playing Animal Crossing and Pokemon on my switch on this TV looks mindblowing
One downside is if you're watching YouTube and notice the the videos look like theyre moving too fast you might want to press the "*" button on the remote go to the picture settings and lower or turn off the action smoothing and clarity settings.
PC gaming is great as well you just have to modify the resolution to 1920×1080 and might have to manually increase the refresh rate setting as well if you want to know more i found a guide the Blurbusters website an article they posted "True 120Hz from PC to TV"
best investment i've made in years

I have last years 75 inch 6 series model and loved it, so bought the 2020 55 inch for my front office. Picture is amazing and the QLED and mini LED makes it even better than my older model. Only complaint, is they changed from 200x200 VESA mounting pattern on the 2019 55 inch to a 300 x 300 paternfor the 2020. Most mounts For a tie this size appear to be 200 x 200 with options to extend to 400 x 400... but 400x400 adapters will not work easily as the bottom of tv bumps out. Also, I had a 200x200 mount and thought this tv would be same mounting pattern as last years , but I should have checked. I bought a 3rd party 200x200 to 300 x 300 vesa adapter online that solved my problem. Overall excellent tv! Now if tcl can only make some OLED Tv’s lol be ready to upgrade my 75 inch ;)

After a year of research online and viewing tvs in person I chose this TCL. The blacks are black. The colors are bright. The motion rate is good. I find the remote to be a little too basic. The buttons seem to be a little temperamental when trying to get them to connect with the TV. I downloaded the TV remote app on my Samsung phone and it works much smoother. Overall I am very pleased with the TV.

I bought this TV about 1 month ago, and I can tell you now that it was a very smart choice. Roku Tv, 4k resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, QLED mini-led full array panel and a big screen of 55 inches for just $650, others TV from another brands like LG, Sony or Samsung with exactly the same tech would cost you a lot more. Perfect image quality and the built-in speakers sounds great. Is a very recommended purchase.

No complaints at $650, color, brightness and screen all look amazing. Felt like it was going to break putting it together but I feel like any new thin tv would. Sound is great also, not sure what some reviews elsewhere are talkinn about.

Great tv for most ppl! Greats really bright and has amazing blacks for a LCD/LED tv. Thanks to the mini LEDs it has I’m sure. I love how responsive the remote is and easy to use operating system. I got this tv for my in laws for Christmas and I personally have a Sony OLED. This TCL could hang with my OLED tv easy for half the price. Very impressed and jealous of how bright it gets.

This TV has been amazing so far! I have had it since November of 2020 and I wanted to give a long term review. It connects and switches seamlessly to my XBOX Series X, PS5, Apple TV and JBL sound system. The Mini LED screen gets really bright and has gorgeous colors, rivaling even the 2021 MacBook Pro 16 from Apple. The only downside is that it has HDMI 2.0 instead of 2.1 so it can’t do 4K 120 but I knew this was a limitation when I purchased it so I won’t dock any stars

I have owned this for 2 months.
I bought this for the 120Hz native refresh rate and to play the Xbox Series X on it at 120 fps specifically with COD Warzone and Black Ops Cold War and it works great, super smooth, low input lag, only 1440p at 120Hz but I knew that going in and the price was perfect ($649 when I bought but now I see it's $699 for the 55").
First problem I had was when watching YouTube TV using the built in Roku operating system. During commercials, it would strobe between 2 images for a while then either correct itself or go black which I then had to unplug the tv. This only happened with Roku YouTube TV and not my Xbox YouTube TV so maybe it's a Roku thing and not a TCL thing. Either way it's an issue.
Second, was when I booted up Warzone on my Xbox Series X, the entire screen would occasionally go white, then red, then green, then blue, every couple seconds. I had to unplug the tv to correct this as well (very annoying, not sure what caused it.)
Third, I noticed the very top row or 2 of pixels would sometimes all be the same color at the same time depending on the image on the screen. Not a huge issue but noticeable and annoying.
Fourth and last issue I had with my display was a group of 2-3 dead or semi dead pixels in the middle of the screen. They were not there at first, I only noticed them a couple of days ago. They are hardly noticeable at a distance but once you see them, you can't help but notice them.
I have recently done a factory reset to hopefully resolve the YouTube TV issue and the issue with playing on the Xbox. The pixel issues can't be fixed.
Overall, I like this display and want to give it another shot. I am hoping I got a bum display. I am going to try to exchange for another in hopes to get a good one.

My son found my 55 inch TCL Roku tv for me after we moved into our new apartment and I still had no bedroom tv after living here for over a year. He read through tons of reviews since he is my technical person I go to which is nice because he is also my son so it works out well when I want to make purchases especially large dollar amounts. I paired my TCL Roku tv with the Mohu antenna and now I get over 130 channels w/o having to pay for cable which is amazing. I love my TCL Roku tv and there were no dead pixels or anything else wrong with it after my son conducted the tests which are recommended to make sure your tv isn’t defected. I was able to get my TCL Roku tv before the price jumped up and then was out of stock for awhile. My son ended up having to wait for his TCL Roku tv which is the same model as mine b/c Best Buy was sold out. Lastly this tv is the last series which features YouTube as a channel option because the 6 series has Google due to the new contract they made.
