The tv looks just as good as an OLED or better, I know the TV will last longer left on all day with no screen burn-in, super bright (over 2200 nits, premium picture quality, blown away by the clarity, cool sound from the sub built-in, and over all great decision I made to invest into this TV…I’m very picky with brand names myself, so it was scary to try a new brand, but I’m glad I did my research first on mini-led vs OLED!!!

It’s a great tv. Got it as an upgrade to a base model lg I got last year. The picture quality is great. Getting very close to my lg oled. I use this for gaming on a pc mostly but works great for movies also.

I think I finally found a keeper! I have tried Samsung, LG, HiSense, and TCL Roku. All top of the line models. This TV is super bright with intense colors. Handles HDR very well and unlike LG and Samsung supports both HDR10+ and Dolby Vision IQ. I normally have to adjust setting in TVs but his was good out of the box. It does not allow custom motion clarity or judder just on or off but it really handles motion well. It also upscales low quality (like YouTube TV) exceptionally well. I have an Nvidia Shield Pro and it is very hard to tell the difference. Honestly, it is very close to the LG G3 at half the cost. One drawback is that it is so new there is very little guidance out there and probably some bugs to be worked out in software. I had to contact TCL support to find the "Works with Alexa" which is now hidden in the system-apps-show all and NOT in the menu anymore but it took 10 minutes on a Sunday morning. The only other negative is a very reflective screen. LG OLED reflective which is like a mirror. Fortunately, unlike LG it is bright enough to almost overcome the reflections but not in dark scenes. So if you have lots of bright windows be aware.

I have never seen a TV. This stunning this absolutely beautiful picture that this TV produces is out of this world. It's out of galaxy out of this universe nah from another dimension!!? I'm so impressed with this television that I will be purchasing a smaller one for my bedroom just as soon as I pay this sucker off in the next year 2 years! LoL

Amazing TV!!! The color and brightness is incredible. After hours of research and watching lots of reviews on youtube, this tv was the best pick for me. My children are amazed at how good everything looks on it and we have had several family movie nights since purchasing it!!! I couldn’t be happier!!!

This review is of Best Buy. The TV is fine, I'm no expert. One is supposed to address BB issues through customer service. I spoke to 4 people to not much avail. I bought this specific open box excellent sight unseen while out of town. I'd hesitated on others listed in fair and good condition at closer locations. Excellent: like new, all parts, original packaging. For pickup, found a tv wrapped in plastic with a parts envelope inside the plastic. Not ideal for hauling in the truck 45 minutes but made it work. At home, unwrapped enough to access parts envelope. Only the power cord was included (again, note definition of "excellent"). The sticky tag (on the screen, really) listed 'residue' as the only issue. Phone customer service said to return to store for possible parts. Note here: it's ridiculous that a customer cannot call a local store! Made the 1.5 hour round trip. A floor manager grabbed a remote from a display tv and a new (ugly) Insignia stand. Did not address my concern (with pics) of scratched anti-glare (not residue) and did not offer lower pricing for an obvious 'not excellent' condition (I didn't ask but did not yet know how much coating had been scraped). I don't believe there was a "Sorry for your trouble" either. He mostly seemed to be trying to walk away. I was not being rude. Once I unwrapped completely and was able to switch screens, noticed a lot of coating scraped off. I don't know what people do to cause that. I travel for work and was not able to return to store before 14 days. I made a couple of calls but the overseas support wouldn't address my concerns on an open box item. My primary complaint is that either someone lied or is incompetent. This tv wasn't close to being 'excellent'. I went through more trouble and expense for a falsely presented item. My secondary complaint is a lack of a satisfactory resolution. The system is set up to be convoluted. I don't want to feel like I must throw a fit in the store to get attention. I'm ok with the tv because I'm not a perfectionist but I'm not ok with the false info and unwillingness to account for it.

The picture is excellent, local dimming zones do extremely well even with subtitles and a dark room. The only gripe is that Game mode does not work well because when it's applied and I start my PS5 I get a bright green stuck pixel towards the top right that is super noticable and a bit as bright stuck blue pixel a little towards the middle right of the screen, I didn't know what it is but it's associated with game mode because with game mode turned off the pixels perform normal and are not stuck. So if you want to game with this TV do not turn on game mode unless you're ok with one or two pixels appearing stuck. Other than that I'm happy with the TV and do feel I received my money's worth the quality of picture when watching HDR and Dolby vision videos and movies.

Great TV, i love the fact that i can see darker seens clearly, and the game mode is amazing. The ui is simple and easy to use, and the picture and audio quality without a soundbar is really good that it has me debating wether or not to install my soundbar. 75" is perfect size for gaming and movie night

Best picture quality I Seen yet love this tv and the sound is good and loude without a sound bar looks like its almost 3D very nice would buy again and recommend it to my coworker and friends

I love this tv. This tv is the best tv I ever owned. I love that this tv is bright and has a built in subwoofer. I don’t even need a sound bar this tv audio is so loud. TCL qm8 is amazing. I have a 75 and 85 inch. Just buy it!! You won’t be disappointed.

I was planning on buying a much bigger TV but after reading the reviews on this TV and for the price, it was a no brainer. I've had for a few weeks already and I'm really happy with this purchase. The distance between by couch and the TV is around 12' and the 75" is perfect, not too big, but big enough. The colors are vivid, and speakers pretty loud, I usually keep it under 40. If you are looking for somthign affordable that isn't going to break the bank, I recommend the TCL QM8.

Wanted something good for our bright room and mini-LEDs were the way to go. Controlling different modes really help alter the picture at various times of the day which I like.

Very happy with the TV. The picture is good. I do notice some blur during sports but haven’t adjusted the factory settings at all. It doesn’t impact the overall vivid colors and picture. The sound is good for a flat screen tv. The picture is so great that the speakers don’t match the energy when watching movies. If you want a strong surround sound you’ll need additional equipment to match the theater quality of the tv picture.

The google platform is quick and easy to setup. The picture quality is bright and beautiful, everything I expected from a TCL 8 series.

Big difference from tv I had tv picture on the tcl clear and look awesome. Google tv is super fast no issues at all.

I really like the picture quality, they say the tv has a subwoofer in the back but i purchase a soundbar so i don't really know, lol

Great tv, pictures quality is great. Sound is really great too. Only issue is remote eating up batteries.
