Great Picture Quality and Brightness Easy to use Roku OS I have it in a room surrounded by windows and between its reflection handling and brightness you would be hard pressed to see any. The preset picture modes are okay, but I tweaked with using information from DK of Cnet and Rtings, much better after the changes. Gaming is another great standout as this TV easily goes head to head with almost any other TV on the market in terms of lag, PQ, DV, VRR, etc. I easily recommend this TV for anyone that needs a great 85" 120hz TV.

This TV is a steal compared to other brands on the market today. From all the ones we've looked at and researched exhaustly, this is definitely the winner. The price is unbeatable. The only TV that compares to it are OLED for 3x the price. The Qled, Mini-Led are perfect. Even the sound, which in most TVs are just horrendous, this one knocks out if the park with Dolby Atmos built in along with the Roku TV. Couldn't be happier.

I love the viewing angles and the picture quality. I only use streaming apps so they detect the tvs technology and enhance whatever im watching! Ps5 games in 120+ frames looks amazing too!

Love Love Love this TV, you won’t be disappointed. Coming from last years 75R635, which I still own; Is definitely an upgrade. 4K on this tv is truly breathtaking. Watching Epic Movies feel like you’re at the theaters. I highly recommend tweaking the video settings to your liking other than that the tv is top tier, can’t beat the value you get for the value. Also Dolby Vision on this tv blows you away. Watching Marvel movies on this Tv really is insane.

I buy a new TV every 2-3 years. I started with Sony, moved to Vizio, and lately have bought my first Samsung. (Each brand of the high end LED technology). I was shocked and amazed at how good the picture was on the TCL. I’m always skeptical of professional reviews, but in the case of this series of TCL screens, they are very accurate. It’s one of the best pictures I have seen outside of OLED, and I like it way better than my Q80 and Q90 Samsungs I have. I have the ROKU operating system, which I really enjoy for its simplicity and configurability. Highly recommended. If you can get your hands on an open box or refurb, don’t have any reservations on your purchase. Very satisfied. Best Buy help with the purchase was top notch, and would give them 5 stars for the purchase experience and help.

I bought this TCL tv and could not be happier with it. I wanted to replace a projector with 100" screen and wanted the biggest old or mini-led screen I could afford and this fit the bill. Whether movies, tv shows, cable or streaming the screen is site to behold. This is the first TCL tv I have bought but it won't be the last. After having bought Sony and Samsung tv's over decades I can say TCL quality and price to performance make it a tv brand to check out!

This 85 inch beast of a display is an amazing addition to any living room. For the price, it is the best display you can get at this size, Mini LED technology makes blacks look comparable to OLED. 4K 120Hz makes this perfect for gaming, the size makes it perfect for movies. No other option in this category unless you are looking to spend way more.

Former TCL fan now underwhelmed. I replaced my 65 inch TCL 6 series that is about 4 years old. Slightly improved picture but other than the larger size nothing special. I initially purchased this because TCL and Best Buy had this listed as adjustable width base and I was a fan of my 65 inch. After many hours back and forth TCL and Best Buy have changed the specifications and pictures to show that it is not an adjustable stand. Needless to say I had to go to Amazon and purchase a stand in order to use this TV that was sitting in the middle of my living room with Best Buy saying they couldn't pick it up for days. It isn't a bad TV but for the price and having used it for a month I will say that it is about $500 overpriced and I should have gone for the comparable Samsung (QN9xx) for an extra $500 or so. The average user will be happy with the size and picture I just feel compared to the previous generation 6 series, other than the larger screen sizes, it is not the step up I would expect going from LCD 4k to QLED. Anyone who has been to the house has liked the picture and it does well with 4k bluray movies. I have decided to keep the TV and if it weren't for the misinformation with the initial release regarding the stand dimensions I may not be as critical but I expected much more from the new generation 6 series after enjoying my previous TV that was less than half the price. One piece that may help you is that you can tweak more of the picture settings AFTER you go through the main setup, you can then go specifically into picture settings and manually adjust brightness, contrast, etc which many people don't realize. I also prefer the built in roku vs some custom OS like LG, Samsung, and others try to push on you. The review is forcing me to choose whether or not I would recommend this TV so I am putting "yes" but that is only because I won't directly say no, don't buy it because it isn't bad and I am hoping the build quality holds up like the previous generation.

This TV is absolutely amazing and even better for the price. It is mini LED QLED with Dolby Atmos and Dolby vision absolutely amazing also has Roku built in which is the best streaming software in my opinion no bloatware and not full of advertising. The TV is extremely user friendly to use and control unlike most other brands nowadays. I recommend six series TCL TVs to anybody they are just amazing

its been several months now and the R655 preformed beyond expectations (score 8.5 / 10 RTINGs). brightness, contrast, SDR/HDR capabilities can match other TVs priced $1000 more. you would be hard pressed to find a 85" TV with this level of performance at this price point. on sale for $1800 in Nov, which easily made it the best Blk Fri deal of 2022.

Great value for the money. My first purchase of a TCL product. Does best when using the built in streaming apps. The compressed cable signal from our local cable provider is inferior to viewing with the built in apps. Easy to adjust video settings to your liking. Roku OS is great--easy to use and functional. No regrets about buying this tv.

I have been running an Epson 4010 4k projector and a 100 inch screen in my living room for the last few years but ambient daylight always annoyed me. I finally switched to a TV because prices on decent 85 inch TVs had dropped enough. The TCL 85" 6 is exactly what I have been looking for. One thing that I absolutely cannot stand is blooming. This TV has little to no blooming that i can see. Black levels are amazing. Perhaps not OLED level but very close. Color accuracy seems good right out of the box. Comes with Roku smart TV functions which are snappy enough. Overall picture brightness and quality are fantastic at this price point. Only thing I can ding it for is that I would like more refined color controls. You can pick different presets (like Vivid, Movie, etc. and Warm, Cool etc for color temperature) but you can't dig down into individual colors. However, that isn't that big of a deal for me. One note is that this screen is large enough and sharp enough that if the source material isn't a sharp 4k, it looks a little fuzzy. Don't blame the TV for that - blame the source material.

This tv is amazing. Picture quality is great and myself I think the sound is great as well. Speaking of the sound, I wrote to TCL due to a plastic film protector on the back of the tv that the manual says nothing about and they got back to me saying it is a small woofer, pretty sweet.

Excellent tv for the price. Picture pops after a few minor tweaks, roku interface is real easy to use. Overall a great tv, wish it was a bit slimmer but that’s a minor quibble.

Best picture I've seen for the money and the color is fantastic. Picture quality even better when watching my 4k blueray. The sound from this tv was more than I expected too.

Picture quality is excellent and tv gets really bright. It is very large and has been great for playing games and watching 4k HDR/Dolby vision shows and movies.

Love TCL tvs and this one is no exception. Great picture and best tv with Roku built in on the market. Mini QLED is as close to OLED as you can get without the huge price tag.

Really fills up a room and wall definitely would recommended a soundbar for quality but the sound on tv does get loud. Had tk order aftermarket tv stands that screw into wall mount bracket holes just a thought.
