Awesome soundbar + sub

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sounds really nice , crisp and clear , good bass on the sub , max volume is very loud but never distorts still stays crisp at max , very satisfied with this soundbar , easy to set up , wireless sub but plugs into outlet no wires needed to the soundbar from sub , I give this 5 stars , price is hard to beat and quality is superb , very happy with this purchase , have it hooked up through 3.5 mm jack to my pc , the remote kinda small but it does the job

Extremely Easy Set Up

This product was so easy to install and set up, I was amazed. Just follow the instructions, step by step, and in the order that they state and you will not have a problem. Make sure, when it is installed and operational that you go into your TV settings and turn the TV sound speakers off. The sound is great, and shows with difficulty sometimes understanding the talking part of the show, are easier to understanding.

Great Match for TCL TV

Adjustment of volume on tv does not mute when needed. You have to reduce the volume completely. Overall its a good buy for the price.

We have a TCL Roku TV. The hardest part of setup was getting the units out of the box & wrapping. Most soundbars I've heard with this level of sound easily cost twice as much. So, good sound at a good buy without a hassle.

Great sound

Sounds are clear and dialogue is easy to understand. Only draw back is the way I had to connect it to my tuner through the mic jack.

Poor volume modulation

But the volume control is delayed, with no on screen indication of increased or decreased sound, and there is never and optimum volume that can be set. Too loud, or too soft. And the sound bar in front of the TV prevents the remote signal. Behind the TV means having to “find” the bar for the volume control. Overall, a good idea that went wrong. Maybe some cute little stilts for the TV?

Thank you for the excellent feedback, all responses and comments are very much welcomed. It’s true that one of the advantages of the TCL Alto Soundbar line is it’s ease-of-use with TCL TVs. This particular soundbar has the ability to connect to a TV via Optical or AUX. To control functions like power and volume when connected via the soundbar's AUX or Optical port, you would need to utilize a Standard IR TCL Roku remote. The IR sensor on the TV is located at the middle bottom of the TV under the brand logo. With this being said, you would want to place the IR pass-through cable near this location. Additionally, there are different sound modes (Music, Movie, and News) that can be changed based on what you are watching to better suit the content. The different sound modes change the treble and bass settings of the soundbar. Hope this helps!
