So when I opened the packaging for the "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" I didn't know what to expect, but I received more than I bargained for. The new magno case is full of vibrant imagery of Spider Man and Electro with a gloss of shock waves all over. Plus it's easy to open and close and remove or place discs with the magnets inside the casing. The 4K ultra display is an even greater experience. I can see the depth of detail they went through to shoot this film, which I couldn't get in theater's like I can on my 4K ultra tv. And you get a bonus comic full of illustrations from a special fight scene in the film. Hands down one of the best combo packs to purchase today. I wouldn't recommend going anywhere else!

This movie was entertaining from Beginning to end, Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker and Emma Stone as Gwen are fantastic. Their On screen Chemistry is spot on and VERY believable. The action is great along with the Special effects are some of the best this year. The story in the other hand can be overwhelming at times, they put so many Villians in this movie that the story can become confusing and messy. But, overall. I'd recommend this movie for Blu-Ray fantatics like myself. The Picture Quality and Audio are perfect. Supplements are a little on the light side. But, I'd give this Blu-Ray a 4/5.

They tried to pack a lot into this one, so much so that it feels like the first trilogies 2 and 3 rolled into one. One (or two) less villains and some additional editing and it would have been a more concise and direct movie. That being said, had the Osborn/Goblin been played up more and the movie been longer it actually would have been more satisfying. The Rhino felt tacked on and could have been left for the inevitable 3rd movie. Some of the storyline is a classic/key Spider-Man plot and but it feels like we rushed things to get there and so it lacks some of the impact that it could have had.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 isn't my most favorite, but my 2 year old son can't get enough, so I added this to complete our cinematic collection.

The story continues where we left off at the last film in typical Peter Parker fashion. Late for important life events while fighting off crime!! We learn more about Peter's father than in any previous Spiderman movie which should help satisfy the casual fan's "need to know more". Acting in the movie is what you should expect for a Action film like this. There is decent chemistry between all, but let's not try getting overly critical. Remember the demographic here. All in all, a real fun movie that answers quite a few questions for the viewer along the way.

Spider-man is a mess. They had the original trilogy, then two new movies and now it's in limbo. The movie itself is worth watching and it's great as a stand-alone film, but I feel like there are a lot of questions still unanswered that will never be answered because they will probably reboot this series again with different leads. Real shame as I would at least like one more film with Garfield in the lead to just tie up some loose ends. Good movie, but disappointment that this might be it for this incarnation.

Many aren't down with Webb's vision of Spider-Man, but I am. I'm all about "(500) Days of Spider-Man." The way he treats the characters, tip-toes through their relationships, and isn't afraid to change up what's perceived as comfortable, creates a satisfying unknown, something that is sorely missing in the Disney/Marvel 'Avengers' storyline. With demo-worthy audio and video – including a wonderfully consistent, deep and always-impressive 3D transfer – and a truckload of special features, 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' is highly recommended viewing.

Ok, so I've always been a huge fan a Spider-Man ever since I was a wee lad. This movie was great but comparing to the comic line it fell flat on its villains. I really enjoyed the action, comedy, and sorrow in this movie because it shows that spidey is just a kid who tries to live two different worlds and struggles to keep the people he loves safe. Anywho I'm glad I bough this special edition case because it looks brilliant! I opened it up and BAM there you see mug shots of spidey and electro. I'm still disappointed with the UV digital aspect of this because I wish I could get the movie through iTunes instead of that UV junk.

To keep it spoiler free, the characters were developed in the Marvel tradition for the most part, though the relationship with Peter and Harry could have been more expanded. Peter Parker's life was always complicated with his being Spider-Man, and this movie clearly expresses that. There is a fair balance between story action for the most part. Villian versions were reasonable except for the Rhino, which worked OK, but I wished for the original.... Perhaps he will morph in a sequel.... Worth a watch for anyone that likes super hero films.

This is another great Spider-man movie, fun, entertaining, & the special effects were out of this world. Andrew Garfield played the Spider-man character exactly true to the Marvel comic book character, which is why he is always kidding around, cracking jokes, confident, & swing widely just as truly as Spider-man would. This is a contrast between him and Tobey McGuire in the original Spider-man trilogy, because that Spider-man was dull, resentful, lacked humor, & always lacked self-confidence.

Superb acting and not to mention to great cinematography and the right amount of CGI effects. I'm also a fan of the Spider man films growing up and reading all the comic books. Overall, this film was just as enjoyable to watch in the theaters as well as at home on blu ray. Great experience in that.. The actors are very favorable here as well, with the casting of Andrew Grafield and Emma Stone make the chemistry work so well. and Sally Field did a terrific job potraying Aunty Mae. This is a real keeper to add to your collection of Movies! If you don't have one, begin with this blu ray/DVD. Highly recommend it!!

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" was quite an enjoyable movie. Although the plot lines stray away from the events as detailed in Marvel's Spider-Man comics (as every comic-based movie seems to do), it does pay homage to the original work in several key scenes. The action is well-paced, the special effects are stunning, and Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone make for a quality Peter Parker/Gwen Stacy combo. But while I was initially doubtful about Jamie Foxx playing the main villain Electro, his overall performance is surprisingly good!

I enjoyed the 3D effects and also the film and sound quality in this movie however i did not enjoy the movie as much as the first Spider-Man. The over use of digital effects kinda kills the slight realism of the movie. The story seems to be too rush specially when sticking 3 bad guys in the same movie and not giving them enough time to develop. I would recommend this movie because if you are a fan of Spider-Man you might enjoy it and enjoy the action but other than that i think it was just good and not great as expected.

The movie is fun and entertaining for all ages, lots of action combined with some humor and good character development. We watched the 3D version on a vizio 60 in and the aerial scenes and cityscape shots are beautiful with great depth to them. There are some scenes that the focus on certain background items causes a slight issue with trying to get our eyes and minds to accept it correctly but this can be caused by the type of 3D tv you have (passive or active) along with the settings being calibrated on your tv. But this was never a big distraction from all that was happening in this great movie.

Spiderman is one of my favorite Marvel character's. I grew up watching the original Spiderman cartoon and I also watched Spiderman the television series back in the 70's. I thought the first trilogy of Spiderman was good, but when the Amazing Spiderman came out it surpassed the first three movies. Now "Amazing Spiderman 2," is better than the rest. They stayed close to the Gwen Stacey story. There was plenty of action and I just loved how Spiderman 2 reminded me of how much of a wise guy Spiderman can be. This is one of the five great moviesnt j at came out this year. I need to watch it now LoL

I don't understand all of the hate that this movie has gotten. It's easily the best Spider-Man movie to date. While it is "crowded" with villains like the awful Spider-Man 3, and also having 3 in total as such, this Spider-Man pulls it off just fine. As everyone has heard I'm sure, yes one of the beloved characters doesn't make it to the end of this movie, and yes their death is quite sad and may startle/disturb some, but that's not a good enough reason to hate this movie. It's got fun, it's got emotion, and it's got Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone's wonderfully fun chemistry. Watch it.

I thought that the amazing spiderman 2 was a very good sequel. Not only was there alot great action scenes but you got to understand the history behind peter parkers parent. I didn't care to much for the back and forth from peter for his love for gwen but I understand it was his first love before he met Mary Jane. Also if you pay close attention the movie introduces another female that plays a big part of peter parker/spiderman life which we might see in part 3. Overall I think its a great film that you will enjoy.

The scenes between Peter, & Gweyn were heart touching. The Effects were phenomenal. The acting incredible. The script; beautifully written. By far the best super hero movie I have ever seen. I need to write 10 lines of text . Great movie. Awesome effects. I saw Captian America 2 & I thought that was excellent, but, then I saw The Amazing Spider Man 2 & it truly was amazing. is that 10 lines yet? Okay I guess not. I loved the whole film. I saw it in Prime 3D. I was deeply moved. I was deeply reeled in. It kept me interested the entire time. I really liked it. I loved it. It was great.

okay. so I liked Spider-Man I and II. but I still bought III because I'm a completist. Same here. Amazing Spider-Man 1 was an okay reboot (even if they got the "look" of Peter and Harry reversed). And then there's Amazing Spider-Man 2 I knew I would get it...eventually. That day arrived when it was about $15 off for the 3D Blu-ray multi-disc set. At $16.99, it was finally worth it. I'd recommend it...to someone like me who "has to" have it to complete his/her super hero movie collection.

Even though I would have preferred a more compelling narrative to justify this franchise reboot, I like these movies (I don't love them). First and foremost let's put the fears to sleep - the movie has 3 villains, but the movie does NOT fall apart Spiderman 3 style. I was never a fan of Raimi, Maguire, or Dunst. I was happy to hear the series would be rebooted and they would have nothing to do with it. This is the first time I've actually cared about the Spiderman character let alone Peter Parker. I enjoy the chemistry between hero and love interest. Once Jamie Foxx dons the villain threads he does impress, though I wish his character could have been more fully realized to play up his tragic origin. His "journey" feels rushed. I really enjoyed the Time Square encounter and I think you will too. The "reveal" with Parker's parents was a bit flat. I did enjoy the sign of things to come within OsCorp, but that was unfortunately spoiled by the trailers. Green Goblin looks hellish, but again, they had 2+ hours. They could have/should have developed more of a presence. The Rhino is the third villain that while he appears in a mech suit to interesting effect, he doesn't stick around long enough to wear out his welcome. Despite its humor this is clearly a movie based on a Marvel comic, instead of a Marvel film the likes of Winter Soldier & Guardians of the Galaxy with lighthearted humor. It's a decent action fare we've come to accept from summer films. You'll enjoy but it's nothing to write home about.
