Movie was easy to find in store cashier was friendly and the price of movie was great thank u!!!

Being a fantastic author, this film doesn't take you where you want to go as his prior works did; ie Safe Haven. It was a great film release for the Valentine holiday, but I hear the book is more gripping. It's worth seeing, just don't build yourself up to be let down.

The Best of Me made me want to be a better man! Younger Dawson and Tuck's relationship was meaningful and heartfelt! I had a strong connection with their scenes, and it was a nice change in this film over the past Sparks adaptations. James Marsden was not overly charming, his delivery was delicate and light. It was nice to see the lead role more laid back. Gerald McRaney (Tuck) and Luke Bracey (Younger Dawson) was my favorite part of the movie. I loved the scenes that told the story from their beginning, how they met, how they helped each other in life and love. MEANINGFUL and POWERFUL!

I enjoy Nicholas Sparks movies, and this was no exception. I always enjoy James Marsden and Michelle Monaghan, and they are so great in this. But actor Luke Bracey who played the young Dawson probably affected me most. Everyone is spot on. What a sweet, deeply felt story. Another great reminder that love is in the simple things. I had not seen the movie in theater and noticed two version were available on Amazon. So I chose the "Tears of Joy Edition" because something told me the original might not have a happy ending. And I'm a sucker for happy endings. Perfect treat for being stuck at home with a sore back. Well done!

This movie came recommended by my 26 year old daughter, who of course if a die hard romantic. She told us it was as good as "The Notebook" so my husband and I decided to purchase it (rather than just rent it). We were pleasantly surprised to find it wasn't highly predictable (although at least 1/2 of it is). The casting is done well with good chemistry between the actors/actresses. The movie has a good pace. There is an alternate ending where one is sad/tragic and the other is happy. I do suggest you watch both.

I haven't read the original novel, so I can't say how the movie compares, but I really enjoyed this film. Sure it's insanely contrived and melodramatic, but what movie in this genre isn't? If you want to escape reality and enjoy some romantic goodness, you could do far worse. The chemistry between the actors is exceptional, especially with the younger couple. If you like Sparks, this is highly recommended!

If you like chick flicks then youll love Nicholas Sparks if you have read any of his books then you know how the movie will turn out. This one surprised me it is true Nicholas Sparks except if you buy the tears of joy edition like I did you get an alternate ending. Im not going to give anything away but you want to buy this edition if you buy the movie.

what a great movie to watch!! i cried so much but it is such a good story. I can't remember when i watched such a good movie last time. I rented it twice at Redbox and i was talking about it at work so much that my friend bought it for me for my birthday and i went to buy one for my sister too! such a good movie!!

While most guys would cringe at those words, I actually like the trailer and the movie was decent. At times it reminded me of The Notebook, and A Walk to Remember. The story is good, so is the acting and the cinematography was great. You feel for the characters and what they are going through! Definitely a different role for James Marsden.

While not super original, it was a great adaptation of the Nicholas Sparks' novel. Unlike some, I actually enjoyed the ending even though it did it's best to draw out the tears. My daughter and wife love all Sparks movies. I was happy to see Gerald McRaney in his role, used to love him in Simon & Simon, back in the day!

This movie was actually better than I thought it would be. The transition between the older actors and the younger actors was smooth. The storyline was good but a little predictable. Then again, that is what makes this movie good. I would watch this movie again. Worth buying.

I got this movie for myself not expecting my husband to watch. He started out not watching it, playing games on his iPad but halfway thru he ended up putting his iPad down and watching it with me. Although I still need to watch the theatrical version I heard it's a lot different.

Having seen a lot of movies I've seen my fair share of good romance movies and bad romance movies. One of the things that separates the two in my mind is realism. Some movies are so unrealistic in their representations of love and loss that it's miserable to watch. The movie is based off the book of the same name by Nicholas Sparks. Watching this movie with my sister and mom I learned there are some changes from the book to the movie. They didn't like the differences but having not read the book I can't comment! I won't give a plot description as those are easily available elsewhere. I will say that I felt the plot moved along at a very realistic pace. On a side note I personally liked the original ending to the movie better than the fairy tale happy ending. My mom and sister liked the alternate ending better.

My wife and I have read all of Nicholas Spark's books and now we are watching the movies based on the novels. Although I am a bigger fan of the books, this movie is a great excuse to snuggle with the one you love and lose track of the night. Great movie!

i LOVED this movie right up until the end. My husband and I both thought that the ending was a huge let down and ruined the movie. Fortunately we purchased this copy with the alternate ending. This is the ending we wanted! The original should have had the alternate ending for sure!

So "Tears of Joy Edition" at the top makes me embarrassed to buy this, the way it's embarrassing to check out a bodice-ripping romance novel from the library...for bookclub. But it has the pretty people and makeout scenes that make it worth it. :)

I love Nicholas sparks books and movies. So when I saw this one, I knew I had to go buy it. I was so happy when I finally found it at Best buy for a great price! Bonus digital HD copy made it even better!

Any movie based on a book by Nicholas Sparks is going to be amazing. This movie was no different. I purchased it on blu-ray for $7.99 so I thought that was a great deal. A sad, but great movie to watch.

I like going in to look a new movie selections. I found one I hadn't seen. I had a good reception at the checkout desk and was asked if I needed help during my inventory review. I would recommend shopping at the Best Buy store.

A beautiful, moving story by author, Nicholas Sparks. He has the key to writing great, romantic stories. The movie version is worth the purchase, especially if you are a movie rewatcher!
