    So much potential...

I have been using this "game" since the first of the year. It works well with the balance board, except sometimes it doesn't seem to record my movements. I find the fitness section to be challenging and suited my level which is basic. The challenges are the section that gives a good cardio workout and are fun. The "trainer" repeats the same phases a lot, but I do get a great workout. The recipe section is not very good. Most of the recipes don't list serving size. They are lifted from the Biggest Loser cookbooks with little editing. The calorie counting is worthless since it does not have any food information. If I eat an apple for lunch I have to go to an outside source to find the calories and then record them into the game. I don't use it at all. It is a disappointment that more thought wasn't put into this part of the game. It has the potential to be a total fitness program but instead is only an exercise program

Not high-tech, but it will make you sweat!

With the semi-generic and confusing to use software, the game REALLY WORKS and it LOTS OF FUN! You can chose to train with Jillian or Bob. You can chose the length of your program from 4-12 weeks and you can chose your level of intensity for workouts. It also includes 50 recipes from the Biggest Loser cookbooks! On the down side, the scale is off. When you weigh in every week, it shows you your weight, but then when the big scale starts going like on the show, your before and after weight are completely different and you always end up losing weight in the game even if you haven't really lost any. it's weird and I still have yet to figure out why it does it. Maybe there's a blog? All in all MONEY WELL SPENT! And the kids like it too.

I am enjoying this work out game. It is an exercise program anyone can do. You don't have to be a fitness buff to complete the workouts but can do harder work outs are you are ready. They mix up the work outs each day too which is great for me. Also, I haven't been able to figure out how to add information from prior days and since it is unrealistic to think anyone will log in every day to add calories etc so there should be a feature that allows you to add entries for prior days.

I feel like I get a good workout everytime I play this game. I am only on the beginning level and I still work up a good sweat! There are a variety of activities, so I have not been bored with this at all. I have EA active and prefer this game over that.

If you keep up with the game and eat healthy you will lose weight with the game. It has an area where it gives you a recommended calorie intake. The challenges are hard, but it's exercise and may come easier to others. I do not appreciate Bob calling me his overweight lover. Even after losing 5 lbs in one week with the challenges I was still put in the elimination round. Of course I was picked to stay, but seriously???? I would have thought the game would have been made a little more realistic where 5 lbs was geat. The graphics could be better because sometimes it is hard to read the words on the TV. I have a 27 inch screen and perfect vision, and still have to concentrate to read things because of how blurry it can get. As far as recommending it to anyone... I would let them borrow it to see if they liked it before they bought it. Glad I got it on sale for $19.99 instead of $39.99. I personally like my EA Sports Active trainer game better.

I love it! Great work out. I don't like only being able to pick a former contestant to be my person, I would rather just pick me. For weigh in I would rather have me and my real weight show up on the board, but it is the contestants weight. Anyway other than that I love it and would recommend this as a great game.

    Great Game, Gets you moving!

I've used this for two weeks and have already lost 9 lbs. I know some complaints argued that it was too hard but working out at a good intensity is not easy! You can hit pause (I know that was a concern for some, just use the plus button). You can add routines to your workout or just do single exercises (not a feature I use because I opt for the routines). I'm not going to spend oodles of time here but I think it's worth it. I've recommended it to several friends - I think the calorie counting is really useful (though you can do that on any calorie counting website). It's a great addition to a cardio routine (done at a gym) or as a standalone workout. I lost 2 lbs just doing that solely and then 7lbs adding daily cardio from the gym (I'm giving the game 2 - 3 lbs, the gym 2-3lbs, and calorie counting the rest). Don't get me wrong though, this game gets your heart pumping!

I bought this to add some variety to my home workouts and it's met my expectations. I was doubtful that I would really be able to get a good workout from a video game, but you really can with The Biggest Loser. There at least six different intensity levels from easy to hard. I've used mine on the fifth level (not the hardest level but second to hardest) and it's really intense. I enjoy it! I am definitely sore after I do these workouts. Totally worth the $ paid.

This is a very good workout for a beginner! Really a challenging workout for me. I have yet to progress any further than beginner, so I couldn't tell you if it's just as challenging for anyone beyond the first level. Lots of extras are included on this game: tips from Bob and Jillian, recipes, advice from previous participants. Very helpful and useful. .

Personal trainer in your own home

I love having this 'game' at my house. With a young child, I can't really go to a gym any time I want, so now I have timed workouts at my fingertips! The workouts are variable for your strength and energy level or body area you want to work on. Personal trainers are at least $20/hour, so this game is well worth the $$! I even talked to my mom (a Grandma) into owning this game and she can do the mild/moderate workouts too! She loves it!

I've had this game for 3 weeks. I enjoy the workouts that I've done and there are many more. The workouts are good. I'm using the beginner level and am huffing and puffing. Yes the graphics aren't the greatest, but they serve the purpose. I do not like the Wii Fit because how slow they go through the exercises. In this game the pace is much better.

    Get Wii Biggest Loser!!!

This actually works you out! I was sweating AND sore later! It's REALLY great if you have small children or breastfeed and can't leave the house on a schedule. It's like having my own 24/7 gym!!! It gives you a schedule to work out on certain days and keep up with calories. It also allows you to reschedule your workout for a different day if you get too busy with your day, gives you different recipes, has physical and small diet challenges, and there are these 'side' (like mini games) exercises that you can do that will work your TAIL off!!! It also lets you log in extra exercises that you may do outside of the game. AND it's great if you can't afford the wii fit yet (also gives you the choice of working with or without the balance board). There are also warmup and cooldown exercises. I hope this review helped!

I was really surprised about how sore I was after the first couple of workouts and challenges. No I am not in the greatest shape, but I'm only about 20 pounds overweight and fairly active. I'm not too crazy about the limit it puts on your goal weight loss, but maybe I am not understanding it well enough yet. If this is meant to be a weight loss plan, it works the same as another other plan. You still have to control your nutrition to get the results. Overall I would recommend it if you are willing to put in the time each day to do what is scheduled to be done.

Not as great as I thought

I was really excited to try this product. I thought it was going to be this hard core workout, with all these different options that are not available in My Fitness Coach & EA Sports Active. However, when I tried it out, I was pretty disappointed at first. 1) I find it hard to navigate through the different menus. I can't find what I'm looking for 1/2 the time b/c I don't know where to look for it in the menu. 2) I do like the preset work outs, but I want to do the more hard core preset workouts, however if I want to do a hardcore 15 min workout, I just use EA Sports Active. You can't edit the preset workouts like you can in EA Sports Active. I'm also disappointed in the amount of calories you burn in the 15 min workouts. I can burn up to 3x more calories using EA Sports Active in the same amount of time. 3) This is one of my biggest frustrations I have about this game. Some of the workouts make you stick the remote in either your right or left pocket. Now, how many women workout clothing do you see that has a pocket? I ended up using my leg strap from EA Sports to accomplish this task. However, I am never given enough time to move the leg strap from my left to right leg or vise versa in between the exercises. 4) I also don't like how they don't give you enough time in between the exercises to get your wii board positioned. I live in an apartment & don't have a large space to workout in, so if I'm not using the wii board, I have to set it off to the side. Unlike EA Sports active you have time to position the wii board in between workouts. 5) I do enjoy learning some of the different exercises not available in EA Sports Active or My Fitness Coach. (Note: I only owned My Fitness Coach since Christmas, so I haven't been able to experience all the exercises available in My Fitness Coach). I do enjoy a challenge. Overall, I would recommend EA Sports Active or My Fitness Coach. EA Sports Active is easier to navigate & more customizable with the preset workouts, plus you can burn way more calories. With My Fitness Coach, you will be able to work out different muscles & do other exercises, like yoga, that aren't available in the EA Sports Active. Some of these exercises are available on the Biggest Loser workout, but are better quality exercises in My Fitness Coach. If you're looking for a great workout, you probably want to stay away from this one.

All in all, I really do enjoy working out with this DVD. I like Bob as the trainer, as he is a little more descriptive in explaining what the exercises are, and he does "pat you on the back". I love the weekly weigh-ins! Gives me the incentive to try harder each week!
