Played this on the PC and now on PS4. This version has been cleaned up and to be honest looks and runs great on console. I think this actually has better controls this way vs default pc keyboard controls.
This version contains all the extras. Statue, map, bound book. The collectors items are worth the extra.

It's Skyrim Online!

ever wondered what it would be like to play Skyrim online? It's a lot like this! ESO has long been a wonderful franchise that never fails in pleasing its audience. Bear in mind this is an MMORPG in that the story will remain strong but also linear. The world is open and yet not as open as previous entries in this series. If you are looking to move on from your previous 250 hour time sink of Skyrim, this will satisfy. Bear in mind you need to have a PS plus account to play this game. Until then, enjoy!

If you have the time to invest, then this game will definitely be worth your time. It is a true western MMO on a console, which is amazing. I was a little disappointed with the quality of the graphics but the huge scope of this game more than makes up for it.
The immersion of the single player quests is destroyed when 20 other people are doing the same step as you. More single player/group instancing is needed when your questing. That would have to be my main complaint with the game.
If I had more time to game and didn't have a serious addiction to Destiny, I'd definitely play it.

Not a Typical Elder Scrolls Game, but Still Good

If you play this game expecting it to be a newer, more polished version of Skyrim, you may be disappointed. It is easy to get lost exploring the world (larger and more diverse than those of previous games), but it is difficult to forget that you are playing online. As with any other MMO, there is a fairly steep learning curve. Overall, quite a fun game and a worthwhile addition to the series.

...and wow, was it worth the price of admission. Not only is the game amazing, but all the extras the imperial edition added and the giant sized box made me feel regal when buying this edition as opposed to just picking up the game box. Greatly done, Bethesda.

It's a pretty good game. Fun and engaging, you are pretty much able to do what you want, complete quests to level or just wander around and play. It's up to you how you play the game, with friends or by yourself. I would definitely recommend this game.

This game had quite a few issued that weren't thought about apparently. I would play with my friend, but if he had already completed a quest, he'd just see me running around like a fool, meanwhile I could be in serious trouble trying to defend myself. Not sure if this is the case anymore, but it made it very difficult to play with friends (which an mmorpg priority),
It was great exploring the entire world. The detail lacked because it was basically every Elder Scrolls region and then some all in one game.
Some of the quests would all start to look the same.

Considering the game is an MMORPG with no monthly fees it is a must have. The graphics are great and the game is full of content. While it doesn't do anything new as far as MMORPG's are concerned it is the only one worth playing on the PS4.

Beta Tested Ps4 - Great Game

Not sure why this game has gotten such a bad rap - If you are expecting World of Warcraft then go play WoW! This is not your typical MMORPG. I really like playing it on the PS4 because there is nothing like it yet on the console. You can literally play the character you want and play it your way - highly customizable characters - not cookie cutter classes/roles. You have so many races/classes to choose from it really makes you feel as if you are creating "your" character. For those of you who like story the game has a rich storyline which leads you to wanting to get to the end.
Game starts out in a confined area that runs you through the controls and combat very quickly. You can choose to stay here and explore (which I did for a bit) before advancing to the main world. Something to note: you can essentially loot EVERYTHING in this game which is great but you fill to capacity quickly! You do have the option to buy expansions to your bag. Since I was looting everything I ran out of space constantly and found myself destroying allot of stuff.
The crafting in this game is intricate and requires time. I will definitely be spending more time crafting in ESO.
Combat in this game is not just clicking, you can parry interrupt counter rolling dodge etc and really be a strategic fighter. I played the Dragonknight and really enjoyed the class. I chose Duel Wield instead of two handed because it was allot of fun to play. I wish i had time to try out the sorcerer. I did not get the chance to buy a mount but I did see others on horseback which is really neat and reminded me of the Ultima Online days when you could buy or tame a horse and ride around in town. For any hardcore MMORPG gamer you would like this game. The bad rep it is getting is unwarranted. If you are looking for a game to play long term and really get involved in and have FUN then ESO is a good choice.

It had a rough start with the servers getting hammered but whatever it was they seem to have fixed now. This is turning out to be a fun and very addictive mmorpg. Recommended!

Elder Scrolls Online isn't a flashy game, but it is a solid MMO that is easy to get into and fun to play. The best part, there's no monthly fee to play.

The game usually goes for 60$ so if you find this for 100$ or if your part of best buy gamers rewards you can get it for 80$ for the game in a beautiful steal book case, a wicked cool statue, and an amazing leather-bound art book. It really is a best buy!

I have been waiting for an online RPG that I could play online with friends, and this game takes the cake. Playing solo is also fun and you will meet new people to crawl the dungeons with.

There was a huge part of me dreaming of another dive into the realm of Tamriel through the lens of Skyrim but alas it was not to be. While this is Tamriel it is not Skyrim. For those out there that love MMOs this is a place for you.
