I loved the first game but I know it has its flaws. The second is miles better than the first and a lot less linear. Think of if Resident Evil and Silent Hill had a baby, that’s this game. About 10 hours in and only about halfway thru. If you want a good horror game for the Halloween season then pick this up! I highly recommend playing the first before though.

The first one was creepy and wicked. A different approach to survival horror games and I've got to admit it gave me multiple jump scares. This title is no stranger to that gaming experience. Worth every penny, even if you buy at regular cost. It must be part of your game collection.

Ever since i played The Evil Within 1 it has always brought me back to the days of Silent Hill. With the second installment of this franchise it keeps me at the edge of my seat for what it has to offer. Great game play and boss battles make this a game you want to try out!!!

Game is crazy and action packed. Better than the first game.

As a fan of the original, I came in with some expectations. Some of which were exceeded and others fell a little short. The gameplay and nightmarish style is amazing, but the story was a little undercooked. Overall though I think that it was an excellent game.

People who may of had issues with the first game (like I did) should give this game a shot. The focus of the story is much more interesting and personal, and the moment-to-moment gameplay is a lot more satisfying. Good for multiple playthroughs.

Lots to explore and extremely effective monsters make this game a great horror-survival. Gameplay is varied and and fun, and just open enough for some good exploration and some of the best optional content I've seen in a game. Good pacing makes the game a fun experience and nothing gets old or repetitive. While the voice-acting and some of the broader story ideas leave a lot to be desired, the Evil Within 2 is a solidly fun and terrifying experience that any fan of the survival-horror genre shouldn't overlook.

I was a really big fan of the original, so when I heard part 2 was coming out i was really excited. It's a good game and horror has been intense. Only thing I didn't like was that they changed the actors voices so was a bit annoyed other then that go for it if you were a fan of the original.

Just play part one so you won't be confused. You'll fall in love with that and then won't understand how part 2 can be so much better. The story, MUSIC, graphics, and quite simply everything about this game is outstanding.

I love the first one and was wicked excited for the sequel and upon getting it on FRIDAY THE 13TH on release i was not let down. Beautifully morbid and scary. A must have for any fan of survival horror video games.

As a huge fan of the first game I can honestly say The Evil Within 2 is an excellent follow up. The gameplay and graphics are much improved over the first game and I highly recommend it to any survival horror fan!

Fantastic game! I couldn’t stand the 1st one because it didn’t know what it wanted to be. Action? Horror? Survival? Why not all of them! But seriously, this one is more horror/survival. I emphasize on survival.

this is a must have for horror fans and it is just another backlog game to my library. Very goring and couples or more jump scares. Fun and enjoyable games for horror fans but not for the faint of young gamers.

Amazing game! The graphics are also perfect on my 4k TV. The game is very atmospheric and scary but still possesses the great action gameplay like the last game. Super addicting! Also, it arrived on release day!

Evil within might be the best horror game made. And yes...im including the resident evil games. It mixes resident evil anf evil within with an open world and it comes out terrific. Must buy. I cant put it down.

The evil within pt2 is a good scary game if your into survival horror and can have the heart to get thru it I haven't finished the game but so far I'm enjoying it very much even though this game makes my heart beat to the point of explosion but overall good game by far.

IF you liked the first installment you will more than likely love this one. IT brings back all the horror and disgusting looking enemies,stealth gameplay and all the turns and twists you could imagine. Second playthrough is even better! You will enjoy this game!

The first Evil Within left me very disappointed. Graphically it didn't belong on the current-gen and the gameplay was unforgiving. Evil Within 2 corrects all of these complaints and is worthy addition for those looking for something similar to Resident Evil 4.

i enjoyed the first game due to its survival horror elements and simplicity. this one is open world with much more action.
