I loved the first one and enjoy this one just as much. Definitely not as linear as the first but the graphics are top notch, the enemies are as creepy as ever and the new upgrade system is fantastic.

This is one of the few games that truly deserve all the praise they get. The gameplay is superb, level design is stupendous but because of the genre it is a bit underappreciated. Highly recommend.

Big improvements from the first one in my opinion. I thought the story was a lot more interesting this time and built up on the characters a lot which made me care for the game overall. The first one felt kind of bland. The gameplay also had improvements over the first one and the fear was better handled. A certain part that used the controller in the game freaked me out when it first happened. Still gives me chills thinking about it.

I would almost rival this with the last of us, considering that the elements of the game very much resembles it. The horror aspect is not as great as the first, more action base than scary.

I liked The Evil Within. I love The Evil Within 2. I've noticed this can be a controversial opinion because the games have a lot of differences. But I found this game fun to play and the story to be interesting, particularly if you're generally a horror fan. It leaned more heavily into some conventions the original kind of ignored.

If you are looking for a great horror game I recommend this game. It has a lot of creepy scenes, the story good and is a very challenging game. I give this game 5 out of 5 stars.

My bro said he didnt like the first one but i haven't played so i cant judge. Based on gameplay reviews the game is twisted enough to buy in opinion if you like stuff like this

My son has the first and it remained unfinished. He was iffy on this one but seeing reviews and comments about being better then the first he was happy to have gotten it!

I’m halfway through my second play though and loving this game. I highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoyed games from the resident evil series. It doesn’t disappoint with nonstop thrills and creepy environments.

I played the first and loved it, and The Evil Within 2 is even better in every way! It brings back fond memories of old school Resident Evil with a modern touch. 5/5

Great overall survival horror game....has a little bit of resident evil, silent hill, and the last of us. Combat is a little stiff till you upgrade. Pretty good enhancements and more open then the first evil within.

I must say this another great horror action thrilled game. If u play the first one then this is another addition to the story. Fun to play and the story is great

which is good. In my opinion, Evil within 2 is better then Evil within 1. You die less, and has better weapons to protect yourself. Definitely worth the price!

Do you recall the hype for the original Evil Within? The first AAA horror survival on next-gen? The advertising? The prdigree of the minds behind the game? Odds are, you walked away from The Evil Within moderately, if not entirely, underwhelmed. As great as the promise was, it just kind of fell flat, despite some great moments and an intro that made you believe TEW was going to be the next great in the horror survival genre. Overall, as you progressed, it just became a lot of, "been there, done that". Plenty just didn't get left with the "I need to see what happens next," bug, and often left TEW completely unfinished. NOT the case here. TEW2, through realization of an idea and no small amount of feedback from fans and critics alike, has seemingly made good on what was believed to happen in the original, but through a lack of similar advertising to TEW, left the best game in the series to fend for itself among gamers who were lukewarm, at best, about their first experience. This is the game in the series that delivers, somehow accomplishing that feat while dismissing many of part one's claustrophobic rooms & corridors, and filling it with imagination while allowing you an unprecedented level of control in a horror survival genre game.

Great creepy atmosphere, good graphics. Some of the secondary characters' voices could be better but it's a good game.

Never played the first, but heard it had some issues. This game plays very well and looks good. Definitely has a scare factor to the game and is very enjoyable.

If you in the mood for a really challenging game that will also scare you, this is it. This game will have you at the edge of you seat for begging to end.

I had the original Evil Within on PS3 and it was the perfect blend of scary and action. This one is on that level. If you loved RE4 this is more of that.
