One of Paul Newman's greatest roles. Much better than the sequel "The Color of Money," which finally got Newman an overdue acting Oscar.

This was always one of my favorite films and this Blu ray version did not disappoint. Paul Newman, Jackie Gleason and Piper Laurie were excellent in the leading roles. Also impressive were the performances by ALL of the character actors. Interestingly, this movie about Pool was not the main focus of the film. Character development is what makes the movie one of the best at the time it was released. SPECIAL FEATURES makes the purchase of this movie a must. Some of the best I have ever seen on any movie!
