Duvall and Downey tug at the heart in this drama surrounding a family and illness. As a 35 y/o masculine male I still found myself fighting tears back as the story develops between a father and his 3 sons,whom all have a definitive character flaw. I have 2 sons myself and this movie and soundtrack are great.

Seeing this movie I was interested in seeing Robert Downey Jr. And what he can do not as Tony Stark in Marvel. A court room movie is very interesting. Adding Robert Duvall who by the way was nominated for best supporting actor was a great addition. As the rest of the cast, Vera Farmiga, Billy Bob Thornton, Vincent D'Onofrio. I personally like family stories and this is a great one. Make sure to check it out.

I wasn't sure I would enjoy this film. My father-in-law had wanted to see it, but we couldn't get together to watch it until Easter. I watched it and was pretty sucked in by the story. Robert Downy and Robert Duval were fantastic. (all the actors/actresses were) It wasn't a fast action movie and so it may not be for all, but if you want a good story and some heart wrenching moments, well this is one for the books.

Great acting by Robert Downey Jr and Robert Duvall. As is the case with Robert Downey Jr, sometimes the drama merged with comedy. Robert's hot-shot attorney character was a bit predictable, though I found myself still rooting for him. Regardless, it was a touching movie that I would recommend.

The Judge is a movie you will either love or hate based on if you are willing to go with the story the movie wants to tell or if you don't. If you watch the trailer and like what it is selling then you will like the movie, if you don't like the trailer than this is probably not the movie for you.

I was very moved by this movie, it brought a lot of emotions out just thinking about my own father. The acting was very good and the two stars Mr. Robert Downey JR. and Mr. Robert Duvall was excellent. A must see movie for everyone.

My 15-year-old grandson recommended this as one of his favorite movies, and I couldn't agree more. The story is so compelling and real and the acting, by two of our very best actors, is superb "Oscar" material. Get out a box of tissues before you start watching...you'll need some!

Seriously now, have you EVER seen a movie that Robert Duvall was in that wasn't anywhere from Good to GREAT??? This one falls in there to, just as you'd expect. A lawyer returns to the town where he grew-up, where his father, who is the town's judge, is suspected of murder. The son seeks to discover the truth and, along the way, reconnects with his estranged family.

You can't go wrong with this flick. The ratings have tended to be a little on the lower side, but I don't know why. It was an excellent movie. A little long, but amazing performances and great story. Its a very good drama with some comedy so it has a little bit of everything. If you can wait for the price to come down, even better to buy. But its a good buy either way!

Robert Downey Jr and Robert Duvall do a great job in this flick about an aging father who may have killed a man... Downey Jr is the son that doesn't get along with dad very well but is determined to do his best to help his father beat the charges against him. Downey and Duvall put in great performances in this enjoyable and dramatic film.. worth checking out!

You can't beat a movie with Robert Duvall and Robert Downey Jr. in it...with them, plus the supporting cast, you get pulled into the story and the interaction with family members like you were there. Great plot, and satisfying how it all comes together at the end.

Just watched with friends in the 60's age range and we all gave it a thumbs up. Great acting by Robert Duvall and Robert Downey Jr. They play off each other quite well and there is enough levity to keep it from being a total downer. Great supporting cast also

Robert Downey Jr. and Duval are great together in this movie, and pairing together for this film was just right. Though the ending is somewhat predictable, I truly enjoyed watching this movie. Definitely recommend.

Always enjoy doing the preorder system with Best Buy. The price actually went down from the time I placed my preorder and Best Buy emailed me and refunded a difference that I had not even noticed ... Thanks for paying attention to your customers

Judging by the trailer I knew this would be a good movie but It turned out to be much more than that. I give it an A for acting and directing. Both Roberts were superb and backed up by a great supporting cast. I recommend this movie for anyone.

Robert Downy Jr and Robert Duvall did a great job. Their relationship in this movie is dysfunctional and for good reason. Being "forced" to work together helps them understand each other better. You think it's going to end a certain way but it's almost the opposite. Overall a good movie. I would definitely recommend this movie.

Main characters played their parts beautifully. Was interesting to observe the family dynamics of a dysfunctional family. Although their relationships were strained, there was evident love and support that emerged when members had a need.

Honestly I just wanted to see how RDJ and Duvall could duke it out...and they didn't disappoint. It's a hard hitting story but it was acted so well by so many people in it that I'll still watch it again. They have some great chemistry!

This movie deserves a WOW for the acting alone!! I have watched it over and over, it's that great. Got a fantastic price at Best Buy! Don't miss it. Who says they don't make good movies anymore..and there was no shooting..imagine that!

Loved this movie! Saw it at the movies and walked out of the movies thinking this was the best movie I have seen in a while. I bought this movie as soon as it came out on dvd and let my family watch it. They agreed, very good movie.
