The people who are genuinely interested in this game, I encourage you to give it a try and form your own opinion. This game deserves to be given a chance, even if you had things spoiled. Nothing compares to actually playing the game. The amount of work, sweat, and tears that Naughty Dog put into this magnum opus cannot be understated. I couldn’t recommend it further. That being said, this is only one man’s opinion. As for the actual Ellie edition contents, I’m very satisfied with all of them. The statue and backpack are the best items by far. Great sculpt on Ellie, (no wonky eye), and the backpack is sturdy, well made, and fully functioning. Best Buy did a pretty good job at preparing the item for me for curbside delivery, I had no problems like some of the other people who didn’t get theirs on release day. The only thing I can think of as to why people got their items canceled or delayed was because they were late preorders, (that’s still no excuse), but I preordered mine back in February. My advice to people who are worried about preordering from Best Buy, as long as you do it early, you have nothing to worry about.

First of all I was lucky enough to get the Ellie Edition at retail price and im super glad i did. The content inside is of high quality and was definitely the worth the money. I also bought TLOU2 PS4 Pro Edition bundle too thats how hyped i was for this game. The game itself is AMAZING. The story is absolutely incredible with a fantastic soundtrack. Gameplay mechanics improved drastically. Characters make you feel for them good and bad. Great character development. Don’t listen the critics or haters. Some people may find it hard to believe but some of us are open minded to changes and are able to see from different perspectives. I TRULY BELIEVE THIS GAME IS AS GOOD, OR DARE I SAY, BETTER THAN THE FIRST ONE. As a fan of the franchise when i played it years ago and waited for part 2 i say what Naughty Dog did with the story is worthy of Game Of The Year in my opinion. Id recommend it to everyone new and old fans of the franchise. All i ask is for the people in doubt to give it a chance and play it for yourself. True gamers know how it goes. Never truly listen to critics be your own judge. If you want a game that makes you feel like you’re a part of that world trying to survive then The Last of Us Part 2 a perfect game for that.

If you are a fans of the Last of Us or Naughty Dog, can’t go wrong with this one. The price may seem high, but adding in the game, statue, and the well crafted back bag, it will justify the buy. The packaging itself is very professional, I knew this would be a top prize of my gaming collection.

Naughty dog, like thier games this Ellie edition CE is high quality and imo well worth the price. You get the game, steelbook, Ellie statue, art book, some enamel pins, stickers, a patch, 7" vinyl, replica of Ellie's bracelet, some cool (themes and avatars may be pre-order bonus idk), and last and definitely not the least a high quality replica of Ellie's backpack, pretty much a jansport without the logos. Don't believe the negativity about the game, it's a 10 imo and we'll worth playing it through to the end. I personally like the 1st game best but this is really close. Naughty Dog went no holds barred with this one so be prepared to be wowed.

A ton of great content come with the Ellie Ed. It also happens to be the heaviest ce I have ever bought as the box with all its contents weighs over 18lbs.

Absolutely unbelievable achievement by Naughty Dog here. The bar of what’s possible in a AAA video game has been raised exponentially. Bravo

Honestly? Speechless with this purchase. Only fans of The Last Of Us know the feeling of get this version.

The CE and EE just vary by the inclusion of a backpack that emulates the one Ellie uses in the game. The bag is pretty good quality for the price and is definitely better than the original Fallout 76 bag. All the included items are fantastic and high quality with the statue being the one exception. The statue leaves a lot to be desired and the paint job looks rushed and mediocre. The Jill Valentine statue from Resident Evil 3 remake is done much better as a comparison. As far as the game... It is one of the best games I have ever played in terms of storytelling. Naughty Dog didn't pull any punches with the story and attempted some plotlines that were quite daring. The biggest event was one of the most heartwrenching moments I've ever experienced and motivated me to play through Ellie's quest. The halfway point is a little anticlimactic and my biggest complaint of the game. This is then followed by a difficult to finish questline, not in terms of the gameplay but in terms of the new character you play. As you progress, it all falls together and begins to paint a bigger picture of the post outbreak world. The ending itself had me thinking for days after completion and even after a second playthrough, I still was reeling from the experience. The game was designed to evoke emotions in the player and Naughty Dog achieved that 100%. Yes, I wish there were different choices made, but as a whole I can understand why they decided the plot they fleshed out. I can empathize with the angry gamers, but I think they have failed to truly experience this marvelous game by allowing themselves to be spoiled and wrapped up in their own personal ideologies. To quote the game, "If somehow the Lord gave me a second chance at that moment... I would do it all over again." HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Unlike most, I played TLOU later down the rode on the PS4, but it hooked me enough that I became a fan of the franchise for life. When this collectors edition was first up for pre-order, I missed out since it was early morning. I managed to get one on preorder later on, Best Buy delivered and I've got to say: this is perhaps the best collectors edition for a video game in years! At least in my opinion, the backpack is essential to many people for daily use, the statue is quite nice and I enjoy everything else it has.

Firstly, the merch is wonderful -- I wear the bracelet included every day, and the backpack is sturdy. The detail of the packaging was wonderful, and as a fan of this game series, everything within the box made me giddy to see. Onto the game - although the choices in the story are brutal and definitely do not cater to the fans wishes, I immensely respect those choices as the studio achieved exactly what they sought to achieve: a painful, visceral, and emotional attachment to the characters and their goals. I will forever be hurt by the losses experienced in this game, but it is phenomenally made, and I give it 5 stars for the immersion I felt playing it.

This is a must have for any Last of Us Part 2 fans! Yes, I know the story of the game could have been better but from a collector's point-of-view this is a great piece to own. The backpack is top notch, not a cheap Jansport product and very good quality fabric including the pins/badges. The statue however, needs to be improved, from a quality perspective. I highly recommend to the makers changing this to a smaller 1/8 scale piece and using polystone/resin and getting better factories to paint the statue. I'm sure there are better statue maker companies out there that can make a better product. No issues with the Steelbook, probably the highlight of the package. In summary, a good product in comparison to other CE games on the market.

Like many others, I absolutely loved TLOU and with a sequel comes big shoes to fill. Even though this game decided the gaming community, I thought it was a realistic second installment. A path of revenge turns into a path with a sense of understanding and acceptance. The Ellie Edition comes with artwork, a statue, and trinkets from the game that are gorgeous and I absolutely love it!

To start I would like to mention that I am in love with The Last of Us first game. However TLOU Part 2 doesn’t quite live up to the first in story wise. The story could have been told a little much better, but wasn’t as bad as people claim it to be. Expectations weren’t as high because the bar was set way too high on the first game. However gameplay mechanics was improved from the last game. Graphics, well consider this, no game has comes close to how astoundingly beautiful this game is. Overall it’s worth the purchase, the story isn’t bad, it falls a little short on how it’s told, the gameplay is great and presentation is absolutely stunning.

I’m into collecting game memorabilia of games I enjoy & choose to buy Collectors Editions for my PS games if or when available to preorder. I was fortunate enough to be able to preorder and eventually secure a new copy of the Post-pandemic Edition of the original TLOU game, so when I learned about the numerous special Editions for TLOU2 I went about trying to secure myself an Ellie Edition from the GameStop Website both times they were released, but got screwed out of 3 orders (2 Ellie Editions for me and my brother-in-law and 1 Collectors Edition for my sister, when their online system canceled all 3 without a given reason. Customer Service was not able to help me in any way nor tell me what happened. Anyway, I am appreciative that unlike the Post-pandemic Edition, the various versions for TLOU2 released were not GameStop exclusives which enabled me to secure all of the the editions I needed but was unable to secure from GS. Best Buy has been my go to source for all of my gaming needs with the exception of a couple of GameStop exclusives I obviously could not obtain here through Best Buy. Love the Part 2 so far. Its not just a sequel, but quite an upgrade on all aspects of the game from the graphics and character motions to the music and overall flow of this adventure. For me, it continues to be well worth the 6-year wait for it to be in my possession. Will be displaying both Top-tier exclusive editions side by side as the centerpiece of my Playstation Collectibles.

I saved every penny I had and it was completely worth it. Everything about this was fantastic. I use the backpack all the time! I display the giant Ellie figure in my room. The little trinkets and pins are so cool. Don't get me started on the game itself. This was such a good investment. Definitely get it if you're a fan of the first.

I don't know if this review should be for the game or for the actual contents in the box. The statue is currently on my coffee table and it's fantastic. So peaceful for a very violent game. Love it. The backpack is pretty dope too because there are some story elements in there. The game is a masterpiece and should be obvious by now the naughty dog is king.

Look its an amazing game - compared to any other video game, its beautiful, and plays great and certainly has a story to tell. But as someone who waited on this game all these years, I didn't like the direction they went in and would rather have they left it alone. NO it has nothing to do with Abby's look (those ppl have issues).

This is the ultimate for any collector, other than the incredibly limited crates that were never sold in stores. The game itself will not process well for anyone who hasn't lived a bit. Very adult themes that are difficult for younger people to process or understand. An experience like I've never played before.

I know it’s a little redundant at this point, but this really is the best game I’ve ever played. The story is amazing, I liked the way it was laid out. I’m not sure why folks complain about the flashbacks. I didn’t have difficulty with it, but I guess for folks who did it was a draw back. I also appreciated the transition from hating a particular character to really coming to understand their perspective. My only drawback was REALLY wishing that people on the internet weren’t so heck bent on destroying the discovery for folks by posting big spoilers online prior to the game coming out because they were mad about it. This game is deserving of all the awards and I’m going to continue enjoying for a long time. (Done three play throughs and am ready to play again) there’s one boss that is really hard but I’m going to beat him on a harder level soon. I swear. Also, the Ellie Edition is super cool. So glad I managed to get a copy. It took weeks of trying.

I never buy them collectors editions for games but when I heard and saw that they made one for TLOU I knew I had to get it. The whole unboxing experience is super nice, it was very organized and new item in each compartment. The backpack is pretty decent I would have liked it to be a little bigger and have some stronger stitching. I like the statue however I would have liked a little better quality on Ellie’s face because it almost doesn’t look like her. The stickers, vinyl record, art book, pins and bracelet are nice, nothing to complain about. I loved the first game, from what I have played I like it so far. Naughty dog improved and added a lot of in game features, I am disappointed that they didn’t keep the feature were you shake your controller to recharge your light. I didn’t like the lend up to a certain event, it could have been done better. I wish you didn’t make us play as a certain woman in the beginning. Big TLOU fan and I was lucky to get this edition can’t complain to much be it looks like this game will be a good follow up.
