THIS VERSION OF TARZAN IS BEAUTIFULLY DONE . PERHAPS TOO MANY FLASHBACKS BUT THERE WAS A LOT OF STORY TO TELL .THE STARS OF THIS FILM SHINNED AND SHINNED BRIGHTLY . MARGOT ROBY IS SOMEONE YOU ALWAYS WANT TO SEE ON THE SCREEN, ALTHOUGH HER ROLE COULD HAVE BEEN LONGER . THE SPECIAL AFFECTS WERE FABULOUS AND THE SCENERY JUST BEAUTIFUL . THIS FILM IS A MUST SEE FOR YOUNG AND OLD AND ALL THOSE IN BETWEEN . TARZAN HAS ALWAYS BEEN A CHARACTER OF INTEGRETY , COMPLEXITY AND SIMPLICITY ALL ROLLED UP INTO ONE

I had fun with this movie. I really like Margot Robbie in this movie. I also thought Skarsgaard was good going from sophisticated back to animalistic. I thought the 3d was pretty good not the best but not the worst. I didnt have as big of a problem with this movie that critics did. I had fun watching it. I cant wait to watch it again. No complaints with the visual or audio.

This movie was really good. Personally, the only Tarzan movie I've ever liked was the cartoon and that was because the music made the movie. This movie had great scenery and visual effects. The music was also really good. I got this movie at a good price that was cheaper than the other prices that offered blue-ray & dvd/digital copy that was more expensive.This has a 4k HD, but you can watch that one unless you have a 4k Tv, but it still has a blue-ray disc.

I saw The Legend of Tarzan in the theatre. I thought it was good enough to buy a copy to watch at home. The characters chosen for the movie roles were impressive. Being a lifelong fan of Edgar Rice Burroughs and his Tarzan series I'm never truly satisfied with the various movie versions. Burroughs had a excellent story and filmmakers continuously create their own story variation. Still, this movie has some fast paced action and adventure and is worth a watch.

I went into this movie not knowing much about it, and was curious how they would treat this classic story. What I got was a great adventure tale that brought the story of Tarzan back into my heart. The animals in the story look phenomenal, and I was drawn in to the realism. My younger sons did not take to it vet much and would rather see the Disney version, but I thought that this was the best of the live action versions so far!

I own this movie on Blu-ray and heard from others how good the 4k HDR version was and I was not disappointed. Colors pop and the depth of contrast in the jungle scenes absolutely blew me away. Highly recommended!

I enjoyed this movie at the theatre and decided to purchase the blu-ray version as soon as it came out. Tarzan is depicted as a regular person who cares about his friends and family. When Jane is threatened, Tarzan goes above and beyond to rescue her. He isn't stronger than the apes, but is shown as a man who has learned how to live among the animals in peace. I think the portrayal is a more realistic representation of how a person raised in the wild can survive.

This move was really, really good. I was told it was not the original origin story of Tarzan so I went in with little expectation. What I got was a very good story with some phenomenal visuals and outstanding special effects (the CG animals looked so real). The great thing is that they found a few ways to sneak in parts of the origin story which really rounded the movie. I highly recommend this movie, but it's not the original story many people probably expect.

I am really surprised at the mediocre reviews so far of this film. The movie begins eight years after Tarzan and Jane (a luminous and effective Margot Robbie) have left Africa to undertake a gentrified life in London, where Tarzan has claimed his birthright of John Clayton III, Lord Greystoke. Then he returns to Africa to confront new as well sold enemies... The CGs are decent, and at some points it feels slow, but overall it is a good movie!

The Legend of Tarzan is the Best Tarzan Movie I have ever experienced (!).....& I've seen 'a-lot' of them.... (Tarzan......."You 'Go' Guy!!!") The storyline is quite different fron the norm...& glad to see that 'Jane' does a lot more then just scream 4 help(!)....(smile).... The breath taking special affects blew me away (with them!!!) rooting for the jungle beasties....(& of coarse)....Tarzan and Jane.... This is a Must Own movie for jungle buffs....

I wanted to see this movie purely for the special effects, and also because I like Tarzan movies. Boy was this a pleasant surprise. I like the way the character is introduced, different from previous movies but accomplishing the same goal of introduction/exposition. I was pleasantly surprised by the acting efforts, which were great and made the movie better than expected. Definitely recommend viewing at least once, but a must-buy for my collection.

I was pleasantly surprised by how deep the story went beyond just the normal Tarzan story. The movie picks up after Tarzan and Jane have lived in Europe and assimilated into normal life. Recommend knowing the original Tarzan story before watching if you don't already. Loved the move with some amazing footage. Very enjoyable movie but not as fit for the youngest crowd as the original Tarzan was of course, but definitely worth getting.

This movie was a surprise. Samuel L Jackson, Margo Robie (Harley Quinn from suicide squad), and Aleksander Skarsgaard play the main characters you follow through much of the film. They were excellent. The historical context also helps add much to the story. Overall the story is pretty common for Tarzan; he saves Jane. But the way they presented the character was somewhat new and I really enjoyed it. Great movie; fun to watch.

Taking Tarzan out of the jungle and making him a Lord is one thing, but trying to keep his wife happy is quite another! Well written with superb CGI. The acting is great and keeps the viewer riveted to see what happens next. I had read some negative reviews based on perceived racism, but never noticed any basis for those claims. Do you think Samuel L Jackson would allow such absurdity in a movie he was in? Decided for yourself...watch it today!

I'm a big fan of the Tarzan books and movies. It seems like every little while they will do another Tarzan movie and its just blah. This was an excellent story with some nice differences. The special effects were really great and fun. Samuel Jackson is also in the movie...but then again what movie isn't he in nowadays? The rest of the cast are excellent and I would highly recommend this. Family really enjoyed this movie.

I have enjoyed all the Tarzan movies over the past many decades. This one was different because Tarzan seemed smarter, at least he sounded smarter, in the ways of bad people. The special effects were exciting, the romance was nicely done, and the action scenes were GREAT. I would recommend this movie to anyone, even if you never watched a Tarzan movie before, you will be entertained and probably not disappointed.

I never really watched any Tarzan movies before this, so I was happy there was some backstory provided. I really enjoyed this movie. I thought the story and acting were both excellent, and the picture (I only watched this in HiDef not Ultra 4K) and sound were terrific. Integration of digital effects were absolutely great and there was nothing that 'took me out of the story' while I was watching. Well done all around, I thought.

Did not watch any previews or read anything about the movie online. Wanted to enjoy the movie with out the bad or good. It would be well worth it just to watch and enjoy the movie. Glad we did that as the movie had some great moments with some swing here and there. Sound was great and the 3D gave that feel you need when watching the movie. That's why we gave it 4 STARS. Would recommend the 3D version only.

It's all right, but it's still hollywood. Physics of musculature between man and ape preclude just about anyone from every besitng a silver-back gorilla. Only Tarzan, an imaginary person, could even dream of lasting more than a few seconds with an animal twice the size, ten times the muscle and a full set of gigantic teeth and fangs driven by pure hatred and the will to conquer a challenger.
