This stop animation film from Tim Burtons amazing mind is a must watch for either Halloween, Christmas or both. This movie has the just the right balance of creepy to be a kids movie but to also allows you to enjoy it as an adult. The steelbook this came in is just as amazing, the only problem I had with it is the bottom was dented in shipping.

How to write a review for a movie as beloved as this as well as one of my favorites without it just being a commentary on my love for it. Well, having it play on Blue Ray and In HD mad a difference that went back to the theatre. The thing is this copy with play better on our projector for our "frive-in" movie nights then streaming or my regular dvd. So that is clearly a perk. Having it somewhat remastered also makes a difference visually!

It was a cute movie to watch, or by yourself if you want to be a big kid.

A Tim Burton classic for kids and adults alike. Short but sweet. The wife and I watch this almost every halloween

Amazing! Absolutely classic! Aspect ratio remains the same as far as previous blu ray releases this has the sing a long edition and its fantastic! Great film as always! This was a must 25th anniversary loved it! Glow in the dark front cover lovely!

Getting this Blu-Ray Movie for $6.99 is a no brainer. Blue-Ray movie and 4K Digital Code. Nice!!!

WOW! What a Steelbook! All black and with the special glow n the dark front and back. The inside is just as amazing with stick drawings of the characters covi g the inner back! A must pick up before they disappear!

The Nightmare Before Christmas is a beautifully crafted stop-motion animation masterpiece with great songs and endearing characters. Highly recommended for fans of Disney, animation & Tim Burton

I got this for my daughters birthday gift and they love the 3d effects and the clear picture was just awesome. You need to have this in your 3d movie collection. You will like to watch this with friends and family.Enjoy, Enjoy, Enjoy

The Glow in the dark cover is so awesome. When I got it only paid $10. Think they sold out pretty fast. If you went to one get one now. You always get a Digital copy with it.

A simple design with a classic image, and it glows in the dark. Can't beat that. The image on the back also glows. And for $12.99, you can't get a better deal.

This movie was remembered for 20 years, but had some great memories, and with Blu-Ray added such color it was even very better to see

What happens when the limelight no longer satisfies the ego? How do we mitigate our inherent talents with our societal expectations? Does inspiration come from within, or are we simply regurgitating our influences? These questions and many more are constantly posited by Walt Disney's "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (inspired by actual Tim Burton/Danny Elfman cartoons/whistling). In this gorgeous live action film, an anorexic fascist opera singer slips into ennui after his annual ego-stroking festival is put on by Bauhaus cosplay enthusiasts. Meanwhile, a young woman with self-harm issues gets her Hannibal Lecter/Dr. Strangelove father drunk so she can stalk her village's narcissistic, singing leader and comment to herself about his manic and nihilistic ruminations. After hallucinating from a lack of sleep (and possibly nutrition), the thin white duke decides to co-opt the culture of a utopian winterland. His bleak, gothic perspective lends a jaded and violent hue to the simulacra he constructs. Ultimately, he orchestrates highly organized terrorist attacks on the children of American citizens during the Christmas holiday season - which provokes a military response. Failing in his quest for power, he settles for a mundane coupling with his silent female watcher and relegates himself to the amenities of mediocrity back in his small dysfunctional village. The subtleties of the human condition in this film would make Werner Herzog weep. Even the most jaded heart must realize the marketing potential of this film. It is, however, odd that it would only be released for two viewings on Halloween. It's a bold move, but I imagine that the modern viral nature of art will ensure that this will see a DVD release after its very brief and limited theatrical run. If not, I suppose I will feel smug enough in being one of the few and fortunate folks to have seen this film unfettered by mainstream success.

The kids love this movie and it is something we watch "The night before every Christmas." This is a great movie and the Steel Book collection from Best Buy is one of my favorites. They are great to display in a collection. If you see a steel book at Best Buy you need to get it. They've really done a great job on this movie. It has excellent cinematic affects and you can't stop watching until it is done. Getting the 4k with Blu Ray and Digital copy is definitely the way to go and now with Movies Anywhere it makes it easy to watch wherever you go. Best Buy also has the better price now that Amazon is in VA, they charge tax on everything as well. A great thing about purchasing at Best Buy is getting rewards points which you don't get elsewhere. It quickly adds up.
