Best movie as far as Jesus Christ goes. Emotional and gets touching. I have seen others but somehow this one is by far the best. I love how the actors did a great role in this movie. What I really loved about this version is that for the first time I saw the movie in English and Spanish, before it was in Hebrew/Latin and was annoying to read every subtitle. But now in this version no more.

An awesome depiction by "Mr Gibson" of how cruel humanity was to the son of the Lord , Jesus Christ !

the portrayal here was superb ! Mr. Mel is simply great @ what he does, i wish he would make more movies !

In the country that I live I know that English is spoken and not Aramaic. Because they sent me this movie if it is different from what they sell

This film is a amazing. As well and close as this movie does of depicting the last moments of our lord and savior let’s remember that even in the Bible it states that by the time they were done with Jesus he was a disfigured man due to the punishment he received. The type of punishment and humiliation he didn’t deserve, when all he did was confront mankind with the truth of who we are and what we needed. This movie is violent but let’s not act like humankind hasn’t always been cruel without God in our hearts. The film looks great in Blu-ray, a definite buy.

I enjoy watching the background information discs about the cross as a punishment, the languages, and the putting together of the stage and the actors and actress more than watching the movie itself. I believe Mel Gibson received divine aid in making the film. May God bless him and all the people who played a part in making this remarkable film about the suffering of the Savior of the fallen human race. It is well for us to spend an hour a day to contemplate the life of Christ, especially its closing scenes.

Great film and a good quality blu ray. I wish best buy still sold media in store but at least we can still get something.

Most movies of Jesus Christ are generally above average. This movie is a step above. I saw this movie at the theater back in 2004. It was and still is an intense film to watch - especially during the crucifixion scenes. The difference here is that Mel Gibson (director) didn't pull any punches. It's extremely graphic, but the actual event would have been no less. Jim Caviezel's performance as Christ is inspired and solid. All of the casts performance along with Mel Gibson's direction was just astonishing. A must see!

Note: This film is the most violent I have ever seen. It will probably be the most violent you have ever seen. This is not a criticism but an observation; the film is unsuitable for younger viewers, but works powerfully for those who can endure it. The MPAA's R rating is definitive proof that the organization either will never give the NC-17 rating for violence alone, or was intimidated by the subject matter. If it had been anyone other than Jesus up on that cross, I have a feeling that NC-17 would have been automatic.

We love this movie because we are thankful for what Jesus did on the cross for us. I bought it for my daughter for her birthday.

Although there are scenes that are too graphic for young viewers this is one of the best movies I have ever seen concerning religion. The only drawback, if you can call it one, is the need to read the the english subtitles which to me makes me think I am missing some of the action. But after a couple of viewings you read the subtitles faster and see more of the actual movie. Highly recommend this film...if it's anywhere close to what actually happened then no-one can question Jesus was the son of God...no man could withstand that level of punishment,, yet alone carry a cross afterwards!

I had seen this movie with its first run in theaters. I just purchased it in 2015 on Blu-Ray to watch on Easter weekend. It is a movie that is very realistic to "The Greatest Story Ever Told" based on biblical reference. This movie is epic and much more visually explicit especially when it comes to the events that slightly precede the crucifixion of Jesus and with it being recorded in the native language for that time with subtitles does give this movie a very real "feeling" of the environment of the day. Truly more of a movie for those who already believe than one for just entertainment.

Weather you are a Christian or not, to be able to see what Jesus the Christ went thru by the hands of evil men will inspire anyone to be a better person. This version of the movie can help some enjoy the movie better for it has both English and Spanish versions. Although I am still fond of the original format of most of it being spoke in Aramaic and Greek. Since the movie is well over 10 year’s old now, you can get the DVD at a great price at Best Buy.

The final days leading up to Christ's crucifixion, death and resurrection was never brought to the screen with such true to life pain and realism as this film masterpiece. It is not an easy movie to watch, and doesn't gloss over the horrific treatment of Jesus in his last days on earth. Told with starkness and actuality...we the viewers are face with being there to see the cruelty of hate, yet to realize, in His end, our redemption in His love and forgiveness of our sins.

A must have…Cinema…a movie worth having in anyone’s collection.

Great movie about the life of Jesus Christ and it came in, in perfect condition

This film is excellent and it is finally dubbed in English. It was originally in various languages with English subtitles. But I don't like subtitles because they don't let a person enjoy the performances on the screen. You're too busy rushing to read the subtitles and miss a lot of the film. The picture and sound were mostly clear.

I watched this movie before when it was released in the movie theater and it made a huge impact on my Christian belief. I bought this movie so that I can share it with my family and hopefully showing them God's love. I appreciate this movie being made and hopefully it bless many people as it has blessed us.

This is a must see movie for anyone. It's been out for 15 years but is still one of the most intense movies of all time. It's the last 24 hours of Christ's life before the crucifixion. It is a very real depiction of this event that lines up with the Holy Scriptures. By far the best thing Mel Gibson ever did.
