I really liked the movie with the exception of the wedding dance which I thought was ludicrous. Otherwise although not as good as the first I did enjoy it and have watched it several times. Acting was great but then with Judi Dench and Dev Patel how could it not be.

Totally enjoyed this movie! Was forced to watch this for an event I was attending. I wasn't happy about the choice. So, I went home and streamed The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel since this was the sequel and I didn't want to be lost. To my surprise and my family , we really enjoyed it. So, when I saw this at Best Buy I had to purchase it so my family could see the sequel. They enjoyed it as much as I did. It is great movie.

It started off a little slow, my attention was staying with it for a minutes, but once I put it to give it a chance it started to gain my interest. Very well gave meaning of everything and everybody are not on the same time table. If you sleep in it believing you are the only one you could miss the boat sailing away. Check this DVD out you will catch my meaning.

This is a feel good movie for the over-60 crowd. Fans of Maggie Smith and Judi Dench will really like it. The music and dancing are great. Dev Patel is adorable as Sonny. If you turn on the subtitles, you won't miss any of the funny lines because of the thick accents. There are several love stories with happy results. I liked this better than the first Marigold Hotel movie.

I did not know much about this movie series, but saw a trailer on another movie and decided to buy it. I liked it so well, I went out looking for the first movie! I think I actually like this sequel better than the first movie and I liked the first one a lot. The acting is good. I've been to India a few times and the scenery reminded me of those trips. Great story! Good idea!

This was as good as the first. Excellent cast. The story lines complemented each other. There was happiness, thrilling moments and unique twists. I was wondering throughout the movie if the wedding was actually going to take place. It was traditional and beautiful. The ending left me wondering if there will be a #3. I love Maggie Smith and I hope she will return.

The second movie was even better than the first movie. Since the majority of the characters have been established in the first movie, it seems like more time was spent in developing the plot in the second movie. I enjoyed seeing how the story had continued from he first movie. The only drawback is that a person needs to have seen the first movie to appreciate the second.

The movie picks up a few months after the first ended, showing how our beloved ex-pats have adapted to life in India, and the story spun in the movie follows them as they embrace the life that they've built. Great relationships, further character development, Sunny's (Dev Patel) craziness, and Muriel's (Maggie Smtih) fabulous one-liners make this a movie you cannot miss!

I saw the first movie with my mom and aunts in the theatre, so when we heard the second one was coming to theaters, we all went to see that one together too. I loved this movie. Not quite as much as the first one, but still lovely. The soundtracks for both are BEAUTIFUL and I think I listen to them more than I watch the movies :)

If you liked the original movie, then this movie will entertain and delight. Part of the endearing quality is the performance by Richard Gere as the American in this British all star cast. I am not sure that I would watch this many times over, but it is worth a look for the smile it will put on your face.

Hasn't the same energy as the first film, but effortlessly achieved to be something else : complex dramedy with a lot of character's development and emotion. In this case the Second Best, thankfully differs from the first one, and the ending will warm your heart. P:S: Incredible cast ensemble; and yes, there is ,finally Bollywood dancing!

If you loved the first movie you will definitely love the follow up. Richard Gere holds his own with some of britains amazing thespians. Maggie Smith turns in a fantastic performance. If you having seen the First Marigold Hotel you can pick it up for a great price, then watch this sequel. You'll laugh out loud and wanna watch it again.

I saw the first Marigold Hotel, and I was pleasantly surprised by this sequel. It has a real story line and not just fluff to sell another movie. The characters are more fully explored, and there is a destination for their journey. Very well-acted and beautifully filmed. And there is an additional character arc to be fulfilled.

I was just a little skeptical that "The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" could match the magic of the first. I wasn't sure Richard Gere was a good fit for this movie, But after watching I think it deserves a thumbs up. If you have the first then buy the second. You'll enjoy it.

Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Bill Nighy....they could read the phone book and I'd be entertained. I just love this series. For anyone sick of violence and "comedies" without comedy....this is perfect, especially if you like witty dialog and quirky characters with real character.

If you liked the 1st Best Exotic...movie then you will also like this one. It brings you back into the lives of these wonderful characters in a deeper way...plus there is a great party ( bollywood type wedding) at the end which is fun! Another feel good movie.

If you have seen the first Best Exotic hotel the second is just as good. The acting is realistic, funny and sensitive. The great cast of characters is played by some marvelous actors. If you want a gambit of emotions, see for yourself. Seniors can be very entertaining.

I thought the first movie was fabulous, but the second's even better. Characters are more defined like old friends. I loved concentration was given to the the young couple....trials and tribulations. The Thir Best Exotic Marigold Hotel...can't wait! A film everyone can watch over and over.

This may be the most aptly named movie of all time. It is the Second Best - but the first one is an all time favorite and this is a very worthy follow up. Very enjoyable - Gere is a great addition to the cast and the wedding scenes are fantastic.

Nice to revisit the characters from the first film that I loved. It was just marred a little by Maggie Smith's obsession about her time to die. Yes, we are old and we are all going to die, but her character kept thinking her time is up, which is very depressing.
