Decent first expansion for Sims 4

I've played this new expansion for a few days now. There are things I like about it, and things that are lacking. The new careers seem well designed for the most part. Lots of activities for you sim that keep you interested in the game. Loads of great content; objects, clothing & hairstyles.
The coworkers, especially at the hospital, leave a lot to be desired. Instead of working with your sim to provide health care to patients, they do nothing but socialize. It's pretty frustrating. Of course, your sim should do the majority of the work, however the other sims need to be doing SOMETHING. Help check patients in, direct them to test equipment, that would help a lot.
Running a retail shop is fun, but it has a few issues. Employees tend to be as useless as hospital coworkers in the Doctor career. Door locks to private areas are desperately needed, thankfully a mod has been created, but the devs need to fix this. There are also some bugs that need to be addressed.
Aliens are interesting, but too intrusive. I don't like how all actions are dropped for the sim to "investigate strange lights." I'd also like a little bit of control on who is abducted. It was nice in Sims 2 that the only ones who had a chance of abduction were those who star gazed with the expensive telescope. For some players, it's out of control with near constant abduction attempts. Sims players like having control of their game. The devs need to jump on this and give us some options. Using the testing cheats reset stops the abduction, but it would be great if the devs gave us an object to welcome or block abductions.
Overall, I think it's a good first expansion, but it needs some updates.

This is a lot of fun to play since you have so many options for careers and can be more specialized. I bought it to be a scientist and then get all the lab stuff for building. The only bad thing is that you have to advance through the careers to unlock some things and I like to play to build! I am sure there are codes to unlock it though.

This expansion adds great new gameplay to the sims series. The addition of new work interactions to the game is awesome. It's now much more satisfying than the old rabbit hole of watching your sim leave for work and come back 8 hours later. You now get to choose one of three different careers and follow your sim there and guide them through the job yourself.

I absolutely love that they brought back the business aspect of the game. I have missed this so much from the sims 2. There is only a few things I wish they would have kept from the way it was in the sims 2. Overall it is definitely addicting and challenging at the same time. It makes the game more interesting and it keeps you involved. it's not just about having kids and waiting for your sim to come home from work while watching the clock. You can get involved in working with your sim or you can choose to let them go on thier own and they will still gain progress! I love that there are many new hairstyles, clothing, objects, and opportunities. I have been playing this game since the first sims came out and they have greatly improved the graphics and gameplay. All of the feedback that fans have been giving, they have been listening to it. If your looking for a game that will allow you to truly build your imagination, then this is the expansion pack for you!

I have not fully been into Sims4. Sims 3 was by far my favorite Sims so far. However Sims 4 has its perks. This new Expansion adds careers where you can actually go with your Sim to work and perform tasks to increase you chance at a promotion and new items and the like.

As a Sim game addict, it is a purchase I didn't need to think about. It's Sims, it's a given. As a part of Sims 4, well, it's not the best series. It might be in the long run, but that will take time to determine. It is nice that you can actually go to work with your Sim in three different careers (Medical, Law Enforcement and Science) or you can opt to send the Sim by themselves. Nice option. But, compared to the previous Sims series (1, 2, and 3), it pales in comparison. I will continue to purchase EPs and SPs though because I am a Simmer. Would I recommend it... only if you are a dedicated Sim addict.

I got the Sims Expansion for my daughter and she/we loved it. Its really cool now that you actually have to take you Sim to work and get them through their daily grind. It provides an oppourtunity to increase your skills and meet people. In addition, there a ton of new furniture and just goodies to keep you entertained. All in all it was well worth it.

Great for a first expansion pack for this game! I'm not as much of a fan of the sims 4 as I was for the sims 3, but this is a nice turn of events from the rabbit holes of the previous game. Also, on the base pack, you can't follow them to work and with the careers given with this game, you can. You can also own your own stores as with sims 2 open for business, unfortunately you cannot own your own restaurants as you did with that, either. It's a very nice addition for the game, especially after only being able to do the same monotonous tasks with the sims 4.

It does appear their are less crashes in the game wit the sim's 4 but even Sims 3 did not have so many problems until loaded down with expansions. Time will tell rather EA address's the bugs and glitches the Sims 3 encountered but I am hoping to allow for an easier way to earn new traits and fun new perks for them to earn. For Sims addicts you get adjusted to the new system and hopefully they will role out so more steady products in the future.

Finally you are able to go to work with your sim. The only thing that Dan make this expansion better is if they added another town.

I really liked this expansion of the Sims 4. Now you can choose to fast forward your game while your sim is at work, or go to work with them! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the career tasks can be a bit repetative after a while, and I wish they included more careers.

I've been playing the sims since the original game first came out. I'm sure we have all wished we could know what was going on with our sims while they were at work. Now we can. It's pretty cool, although I don't really want to spend too much time at the job. I'm still toying around with it. Good concept

Love that they are starting to release EPs for this game. The gameplay itself is ok. I'm a little disappointed that you are only able to go to work for 3 careers (same as TS3 Ambitions) and if you don't go to work you can't do those careers. But the build and buy mode stuff is amazing and I do like having more options for my gameplay.

I love the Sims series and the Sims 4 would not be complete without this expansion pack. I love all of the features it has added!!! It was a great price the week it came out, plus gamersclub unlocked dropped the price even more. If you are a die hard sims fan, I would totally recommend you buying this!

I bought this expansion pack a couple days ago and have since been totally immersed in running my own bakery. While I really like the new career paths, I was pretty disappointed that there weren't any new lifetime aspirations to choose from since I'm getting kind of bored with the current and very limited ones. So in conclusion, this game is very fun and definitely worth buying. I was just expecting a little bit more.

I am a Sims fanatic, I have every expansion and stuff pack for 3. I purchased 4 a few months after it came out and I was sorely disappointed. Luckily, I got it on sale. Anyways, the GtW expansion had finally made Sims 4 worth playing. The new careers are so much fun and it added new cas options and aliens. If you have Sims 4 you need to get the GtW expansion.

I'm glad they released this expansion because I was not thrilled when I bought the Sims 4 Premium on release date and was limited to few choices. I even stopped playing because I wasn't happy. This Get to work expansion has brought me back to the Sims 4. And I got it for a great deal because it was on sale then I got an additional 20% off because I have Best Buy Gamers Club Unlocked.
