I purchased this on sale so I think that helps justify the price versus what it usually goes for which is like 180 I believe. This dash cam is easy to install. You don't have to know anything about wiring if you go with the car outlet. It turns off and on with the car and announces when continuous recording has begun. Its quality is decent in the day. You can read license plates and stops and when driving depending on the speed you are going. If you hit a bump a little too hard it will make a beeping sound and record an "event" clip. This cam will do its job in the event of an accident. The rear camera it came with is not that great however. It might be partially due to my tint and the way I angled it. I was careful not to place the rear camera on the heating element strips. I uploaded some day and night pics of both cameras. (ignore my microfiber towel on my rear cam) Getting the videos off the camera is easy with the SD card and a computer. You can go the wireless way direct onto your phone but it does take a little longer. Id say its like downloading a small video using a connection slightly faster than dial up internet. The app also feels cheaply built but I haven't encountered any issues with it on my iphone 11. Overall good camera if you want something simple and quick.

Bought this camera as an upgrade to an old camera after seeing it mounted in my father's truck. All required equipment is there to get rolling even came with a 16gb microsd card to get started. Mounted the front camera just in front of my mirror and then coiled the cord to the rear view camera in the housing that goes around my rear view mirror and mounted it up high to get view of the cabin as I drive alot and want video proof in the event of an accident of my actions. Audio quality is great if you dont have the radio up loud and after playing with some settings through the app for the camera I have it set to record the previous 10 seconds and the following 20 seconds of any impact as small as a minor pot hole or railroad crossing for example. Overall very well made so far and excellent audio and video. Honestly would recommend for anyone wanting an unbiased truth in preparation of an unfortunate event.

This is the third Thinkware dashcam I have installed in my cars. Bought this for my work truck. The quality is very good and clear, easily can read license plates. Also bought the echomaster obd wiring kit for this which made the install so easy and fast. Highly recommended and easy to install. Aloha from Hawaii !!! James

I upgraded to the Thinkware F200 from the F50 so I could have a rear camera also. I am very happy with this model. The video is good quality and I like the features such as the builtin wifi so I can dowmload the videos without taking out the micro sd card and taking it into the house to stick in my laptop. I like the parking mode feature with the incident and motion detection. I was concerned about my rear window being tinted and the camera being able to take usable video but surprisingly it does an adequate job. Overall I highly recommend this camera!

This is one amazing Front and back dashcam. We have already purchased four of these dashcams. The first one was for my daughter that is in college and She loves it. The other 3 we purchased and installed them on our 3 owned company trucks. Very easy to download the recordings to view and No need to do anything but put in your key in the ignition and turn on your car and the recording will automatically start. Great device

I had been wanting to get a dash cam for my F150 truck for the longest time but most of the dash cams I’d seen where just too bulky or expensive as heck. While checking out the Black Friday deals online I ran across Best Buy’s specials and noticed this dash cam combo kit. I checked out the F200D dash cam reviews and also Thinkware brand reviews and they were pretty good. So I decided I’d buy the F200D kit along with the hardwiring kit at my local Best Buy. What I really like about this camera is how low key it is and that it sort of blends in with my rear view mirror. Along with the front video quality( the rear camera is okay, but for accident purposes..) Even the parking and motion sensor feature is really convenient. Installation was super easy but ran into an issue with the hardwiring kit, the yellow and red wire are flipped,(apparently Thinkware had a faulty shipment) It was a easy fix though. Overall this dash cam fits the bill.

Best Buy had a sale and I picked up this Dashcam for $130. At this price I would give this Dashcam a "C+" rating. Pros: Video, quality is on par with other non 4k cams. Dual channel camera at this price is great. Quality of cameras and accessories is decent. Instructions are clear and easy to understand. Installation was fairly easy in my 2 door car. Cons: Thinkware Dashcam only accept Thinkware Micro SD cards. Thinkware SD cards cost 4 times the price of SanDisk SD card. Audio is useless if you drive with your windows open, the radio on, or the climate control system running. Thinkware phone app could be better.

I needed a new dul dash cam. The one I had was way too big it looked more like I had a GPS on my windshield all the time than a dash cam and the suction cup kept falling off. I wanted a dual dash cam because I've noticed while watching videos online that a lot of the incidents happen at the back of the car where a lot of people don't have a dash cam. I went with this dash cam because it doesnt have a screen it would be small enough so it doesn't take up a ton of space on the windshield. One of the things that I really like about it is that I can connect my phone to the WiFi on the camera and I can watch the videos that I have captured without having to take the SD card and put it in the computer. This is the best dash cam that I have had. I have had 3 the first one was crappy because it was a really cheap one and it broke when it fell off the windshield because of a car crash, and the the second one kept falling off the windshield. This is definitely the winner of the 3. I will definitely go with this brand again if anything happens to this one it is so great.

This is a great dashcam system. It was also a super easy install. Cons: - no screen so you have to connect to your phone to view video and recordings. This is a bit of a process (button on the device and starting the app every time you want to view). Pros - no screen and very small device. It completely fits behind the mirror. It also came with two long wires for running between the front and rear camera. I have an SUV and it reached without a problem. Once setup it just does it's thing and so far has worked well. It doesn't include a GPS antenna so if you want that function you have to order a seperate one.

This is almost everything you could want from a dash cam. This is my first dash cam so I do not have a point of reference of how it compares to the competition. Postives: + Dual cameras to watch forward (1080p) and rear (720p) + No complicated wiring for rear camera, just a single easy to hide cable. + Has an app so you do not need to eject the SD card and get to a computer with a card reader to view footage. + night footage looks good. Negatives -Mount only has up/down articulation. No left/right twisting. You do get a second pad if you screw up, but after that, that is it. -since it does not have a screen initial set up is a bit of a hassle since the “live” feed has a solid second of delay -have to download front and rear footage as separate files to your phone. Should have an option to download both as well as separately. To get a dash cam with an app, and a rear camera for under $200 makes this a solid buy.

I purchased it about 2 months ago and installed it myself. It took about 45min to install this, with a hardwiring kit to fuse box. The product is well built, and it works well. Video quality is reasonable, even at night. One thing that needs to be improved is how the phone app works. WiFi connection doesn't work smoothly. It makes connection, then in a few seconds, it drops, so I need to disconnect and reconnect WiFi. Then it works. Overall, it is a good value product.

Honestly I think for the price it’s a great camera. I’m going to attempt to attach some pictures it was a rainy day when I installed it, but I think the quality is still good for an affordable front and rear camera. I’m sure if you want to spend $300-$500 you can get a better quality picture, but this is good enough quality for me.. Install was also easy..

This thing is awesome for the price! Great quality on front and rear camera. It’s super easy to use, too! You an adjust all the settings in the app. If you have Best Buy install it hardwired into the vehicle, you will need additional harnesses and parts which will run an extra $50-70. Still not bad for the price. The only reason it gets 4 starts and not 5 is because the cameras WiFi doesn’t automatically turn on and the download speed of the videos isn’t super fast. If you want to download videos to your phone, you need to be near the camera, push the WiFi button, wait for your phone and the camera to communicate to each other (which doesn’t always work the first time but eventually connects) then watch which video you want, or download them all. It takes a while for these to download. Each video will take about 10 seconds each. Meaning, you need to watch them and download specific ones, or download them all. I also don’t like that you can’t really tell which video is which. There isn’t a time stamp or anything. To usability can be a little cumbersome but not enough to regret this purchase. I haven’t had it a super long time, but so far it’s holding up in Minnesota heat. We will see how it holds up during the winter. Great overall camera!

These little dash cams pack a powerful punch and have great resolution while they’re at it. I had mine hard-wired in same-day by the professionals at my local Best Buy. You can probably do this yourself, but I was hangry and knew they’d do a great job. After driving around & playing with the app, it was time to go home... little did I know I’d wake up to a dead battery in the morning. This has been alleviated by unplugging the front camera at night, which I’m comfortable doing since it’s in a garage all night, but for those who need the parking monitor feature, just know to keep an extra car battery on hand, or better yet set yours up to draw from a completely different power source. I really like the option of viewing/saving the clips on the App or on a computer reading the memory card. It’d be nice if each clip was longer than 60 seconds and especially when your single trip is a few hours one-way, but you get used to it. Bottom line- I’d say for the price, you get what you pay for: a power-hungry product with excellent range & playback.

Its a nice little kit but the quality of the video isn't high enough to capture license plates even on the front cam. It was really easy to set up but its a bit finicky to get it to connect to your smart phone. I think I will try a different brand for my wife car.

I have been using this dash cam for 3 months. And so far so good. I bought the cable to hard wire it to the fuse box to get the best of the product. Without that you will not be taking advantage of the parking sensor. Pros: * easy to install * small form factor * comes with camera for the back. * price ($119) * quality of camera * picture quality * good app. Cons: * back camera doesn’t see very well at night. (I think it is a personal problem as my back window has high tint) * Comes will very small SD card. * Doesn’t come with wire to hardwire to fuse box * the peripheral vision is a little hazy. (If some one side swipes you and they run you may not get the plate number.)

A Good Dashcam but with Questionable Designs

Overall it's a good product because of its compact size and HD recordings, but some of its design logic escape me. For example: With most new vehicles having a fairly bulky attachment to their rearview mirror base (because of lane change monitor, etc), why put the camera lens on the right side facing out, so the base is blocking a good portion of the front view (if I wanted to install it on the driver's side)? Also, why record in 1-minute segments without having 3-, 5-, or 10-minute options? The WiFi is also somewhat useless because you have to have it available outdoors where the vehicle is, and the unit doesn't have a connector to allow it to be brought indoors to make adjustments?
