    A favorite from the 80's

A fun movie I first saw in the early 80's on HBO. Although Back to the Future III did the time travel/old west thing, Timerider did it first. The movie is a solid "B" film, and if you don't take it too seriously, its a lot of fun. In summary, Lyle Swann (Fred Ward) goes back in time with his motorcycle to the 1875. He needs to figure out where he is, and how he can get back. The best part of the movie, however, is the attempts of the lead bad guy (Peter Coyote) to get "the machine". The blu-ray looks surprisingly good for a low-budget 80's film. Extras include a commentary and a 20-min Making Of. Highly recommended for fans of the genre.
