    Continues the Last Gen-Console Tradition...Finally

Rainbow Six Las Vegas 2 on the Xbox 360 in 2008 was one of the best and first multiplayer online games to really push the consoles right at the infancy of COD's popularity. Whether playing versus or my favorite mode- teaming up with a friend and joining others to play Terrorist Hunt Mode (which is perfectly brought back in this version among other features), quick missions over a vast variety of maps was truly trendsetting Simplistic yet wildly addictive-the gameplay was top notch. Rainbow Siege brings all that glory back in spectacular HD and much more immersion and depth than in 2008-yet doesn't lose what made that game great. The campaign mode- whether you choose to play solo or co-op with a friend is also deep enough and rewarding . In a long draught for games this is a MUST have for your PS4...or Xbox One-Buy it..

My son loves this game. He plays everyday online and has made lots of new Friends. The game takes the essence of the old Rainbow Six games and implemented it into a MP team battle. Every round is different, every destructible environment opens up a new strategy. And man does it suck if you're unsuspectingly killed. Thanks Ubisoft

This game is pretty much just an online multiplayer. It has single player content in the form of tutorials called Situations that introduce the player to some of the operatives used in multiplayer, but is nothing more than that. You can easily burn through those in 1hr. I don't play a lot of online multiplayer games. Mostly just Battlefield, Titanfall, and Elite Dangerous, and I never really had a reason to use the headset. This game, however, changed both of these things. I can't stop playing it on my spare time. It's addicting. The matches are 5v5, Attackers v. Defenders, with the objectives being TDM, Rescue/Protect the Hostage, and Plant/Defuse the Bomb. The matches are usually short and exhilarating because they require you to work together with your team to win. This is where the headset comes in. I've noticed that the team with all, or at least three, headsets usually wins because players are communicating where the enemies and objectives are and can come up with a plan on how to proceed. Each operative has a unique ability or piece of equipment and it is best to talk with teammates on who should take on the role of which operative. Weapons can be customized, though not to the extent of a game such as Battlefield for example, but enough to make it effective for any situation. You can add sights, barrels (suppresor, flash hider, or compensator) under barrel (laser) and a vertical grip. The thing that bugs me the most is the progression system. You earn "Renown" for completing the tutorials, matches, and smaller actions like destroying enemy equipment. These Renown points are then used to unlock new operatives and weapon attachments. The trouble is, the operatives become increasingly pricey to unlock. You unlock the first operative of each CTU group for 500 renown. The next is 1000, then 1500, and finally 2000. You get a good amount of renown when you win matches, but a very low amount when you lose. Even worse, once you reach a certain rank (I forgot at what rank) the amount of renown you receive even from winning seems to drop. So if you're having a bad gaming session, don't expect to be gaining any renown at a good pace. You can buy renown with real money, but I've hated this method of progression ever since it was introduced. there are some glitches that I've noticed such as: no audio until you restart the game, no dialogue audio until you re-install the game, game crashes in the menu or during a match (just 2 times so far). Also, all the game modes might as well be death matches since most matches I play it doesn't matter what the objective is, most end with the death of your team or the opposition.

Great Game If You Like Multiplayer Based Games

This game would be a 5 if it had more of a single player aspect IMO but dont get me wrong the game is still phenomenal. It has a few Single Player Situations there called that help u Level up and teaches you how to use thw different operators and there different perks and it give u XP towards your level so its Kool. Theres also a terrorist hunt mode which has scenarios where u can go in as a Lone Wolf its called or with friends or randoms thru matchmaking. The multiplayer is also phenomenal, its a great team based FPS that takes stragedy and working together since each player has there own kimda perks which all arw needed if u want to dominate a match. Also remember this game is like real life fire fights when u die no Respawn till the next round. Theres also friendly fire so you can kill your own team mayes if u dont pay attention. So to make a long story short, If You Live FPS Multiplayer Games that are more like a real life situation s, where u dont replenish health, every move matters, and you gotta have a Mic on to woek with your team mates tho you can win without taking to team mates its much easier if your in contact with all player thruout a match. So if u love search & destroy real life situation missions in a multiplayer FPS platform then this games for you. And as of Jan 2016 theres still a very large fan base they havent even released any of the Season Pass Dlc yet so I see this game having much morw to come. So Im personally happy I got it but the choice is yours. Hope the information helped you on your desicion if this game is for you. God Bless & Happy New year

I want so badly to give this game a 5/5 but I can't because Ubisoft has made a mess of the servers. Lag issues, connection failures, getting dropped from games for no reasons, stuck on loading screens. It's really a multiplayer only game, 5v5 attack and defend scenarios and if you're looking for something more realistic than the fast twitch Halo style action Siege is a great game... if you can get into a game.

    Counter-Terrorist Operators - team-based combat

.Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege - PlayStation 4 Although the makers, at many media covered events, made it clear that this was going to be a game of online competitive/cooperative focus - I believe the makers should have had an offline terrorist hunt available for people who don't want to play online. With that being said, I also think that operators should have a bigger weapon variety to choose from. This game is realistic and it's tough, but if played as it was made to be played, it will prove to be an awesome experience!! Enter the new Real blast engine by UbiSoft, which is based on the level of environmental destruction. This new feature is a huge part of the game and is essential to being a tactical and needless to say, the primary reason why RB6 Patriots was cancelled. Not to mention, adds a level of realness that is a cut above the others, including EA/DICE titles. Tactics rule. The developers said that experience, tactics, and communication with teammates were going to be important, and that is more true than I can express. This game relies on each of those for a team to be elite and work cooperatively to achieve victories. With a group this game is insanely fun. When played enough together you learn each other's strengths and weaknesses and grow off of that to develop your own skills and share tricks of the game with each other. Sound and Communication are probably the biggest strengths Operators can have in Siege. Siege is NOT the type of game, where an Operative should go at it alone, doing their own thing or rushing through. Those types of Operatives will not last long. The team must stick together and leave NO wounded Operator behind!!! Operator’s communication, planning and execution can be the difference between the team living or being KIA. Having a good team can determine the overall outcome of your experience in Siege. If played with a team of friends, who all communicate and play the game, how it is supposed to be played, this game will be one of the BEST multiplayer experiences, ever. On the other hand, playing with randoms or players, who just do their own thing with no communication, will make this one of the worst multiplayer experiences. Working as a Team IS vital to your survival and victory, due to the nature of the game. Such as, when a teammate is down, the team should help him back on his feet to get back in the action. Leave no man behind!! The sounds of everything in the game are solid. The visuals, from wood splinters flying when a bullet sizzles through a wood wall or barricade, to the detail in overall destruction of the rest of the interior of the buildings creates new entry points or distractions to help eliminate the enemy or reach an objective. There are 20 different Operatives in Siege, which are grouped with 10 attackers and 10 defenders, representing Counter-Terrorism Units from across the globe. To name a few, there is American FBI SWAT, British SAS, French GIGN, German GSG-9, and Russian Spetsnaz. In addition, each Operative has their own fully customizable primary, secondary weapons and gadgets that their force actually uses, including a signature unique ability. With that being said, depending on the mode, each Operative should be chosen, wisely. They also have a body armor and speed rating, telling how fast they can move and how strong their body armor is. Body armor is rated from light to heavy, which shows how much the armor can take bullets, as well as certain types of explosives. On the in-game HUD, the integrity for the armor starts at 100 and can deplete, VERY rapidly, depending on how many shots it sustains. Once the armor has depleted, it makes an Operative increasingly vulnerable to gunfire, meaning an increased likeliness being KIA. With that being said, there is no revitalization of health, nor body armor. In some instances, an Operative may take a certain amount of bullets and become injured. There will be a health insignia above them. Meanwhile, the injured Operative's health level will rapidly decrease. When this happens, the injured Operative can hold the square button to slow down the bleeding and drag themselves to cover, which can allow time for a nearby teammate to heal him. If not healed in time, the Operative will be KIA. Once an Operator is healed by a teammate, this process cannot be repeated. The next time an Operator is downed by gunfire he is down for good. In addition, if the operator initially takes too many rounds at once, he will be instantly KIA. When and if an Operative is KIA, a skull and cross-bone icon will appear. In a round, once the Operator is KIA, there is no re-spawning. Therefore, making survival more essential. The terrorists group introduced on Siege are called the White Masks. Their motivation for their deadly ways are unknown, but these group of terrorists are no joke and provide some very challenging AI, especially on realistic mode. The graphics are above average for a PS4 game. The Realblast engine and physics in Siege is amazing. The sound in Siege is awesome. The game is equipped with STS surround sound, which can be enhanced with the use of a mic. This game does have a single-player mode, but NOT a campaign. The single-player mode is called Situations, which is played solo. Situations is a mission-based training mode to familiarize players with the game play of Siege, as well as Operators. Situations has 11 different missions. Keep in mind, the first three Situations will have to be completed, as a recruit Operator. The last eight will be played as a primary Operator. Each mission will be for a specific Operator. Prior to each mission, a cut-scene will come up and the Operator will be briefed of the objectives they must complete by Six, who is the leader of the Operatives and played by Angela Basset. Each mission has various primary objectives that the Operator has to complete, such as disarming a bomb or rescuing a hostage. During those missions, the Operator will be presented with various scenarios, where the Operator will be prompted to use their unique ability, among everything else. Outside of primary objective, three optional objectives are in each mission, such as finishing a Situation with 50% health or getting a certain amount of head shots, just to name a few. Of course, achieving these in a harder difficulty will result in additional Renown points. The game in my opinion is solid if you payed attention to what the developers said it was going to be, an online coop/competitive, tactical driven game. To my rating, I gave this game 4 stars because I was disappointed that their was no campaign or solo mission story. Otherwise, this game is a solid, modern, tactical, communication-oriented, multiplayer focused shooter game with free content coming out for the next year. This game does not deserve low ratings or perfect ratings. It has its quirks but is overall a fun game. It is difficult, but once you get the hang of it, it's fun. So make some friends in game and hunt some terrorists!

I bought this game at launch in 2015, and it was extremely buggy, and full of cheaters who ruined the game. I heard Ubisoft finally addressed all of the issues I had with the game at launch, so i rebought it and I am definitely loving it. Loving it so much that i bought this copy for my brother so i have someone to play with. Its So addicting that i play this 12 hours straight on my days off, trust me, you will not regret buying. If you're looking for another run around everywhere and shoot game like Call of Duty, this isn't for you. It looks like a very difficult game when watching others play it on Twitch, but you will get the hang of it fairly quick. This game is a must-buy

Rainbow Six Siege is a great game, with the caveat that you do not pay much for it. The content is limited and it is an online only game (aside from some training missions). The game play is fun and frenzied, there just isn't a lot of it. On the plus side all future content is free, so this will be a very different, and hopefully more robust game in a few months. The game is a 5 on 5 team based first person shooter where you only have one life to make an impact, either save the hostages, or keep them from being freed. You can do this by rescuing them or eliminating the other team.

If you want a nice change of pace from all the twitch shooters this is the game for you. I just platinumed this today, and it was a blast. Sure, there's a limited "single player" mode, but really this game is all about team-based tactical insertion. It's a bit slower paced, but that's not a bad thing. Check your corners, watch each other's backs, use the cameras, and you'll come out on top every time. Communication is key to success for this game. It could use a few more game modes, but for now, this game is fine the way it is. Thoroughly enjoyed my playtime with it.

Rainbow Six Siege is a step in the right direction. I've had quite a good time with it for 20+ or so hours. Without droning on and on I'll simply list some pros and cons about my experience with the title so you can get an idea if this is something you're into. Pros: This is an old school FPS. No regenerating health. No jetpacks. No aim assist. You must play slower, aim for the head, and communicate. When you lose or let your team down it is heartbreaking. But the triumphs of a late game kill, two round comeback, or having the perfect 10K/0D game, is more exhilarating than any multiplayer shooter I've played in years. This is what R6S does so well, especially if you have a friend (or two or three) to team up with. Cons: The Renown currency is debilitatingly slow. You rank up slow and earn about 250 Renown for a win and much less for a loss. Everything is purchased with Renown, from loadouts, to weapon attachments, and skins. Not to mention these can get quite expensive. The game has boosters you can buy with real money and it's hard not to feel like the progression is so slow to encourage you to drop extra cash. I don't mean to nitpick put there are a few other cons. I'm not a graphics snob, but if you're looking for a pretty game to show off your shiny new PS4 this isn't it. The "campaign" missions teach you the multiplayer in's and out's but it's forgettable. And obviously the multiplayer and can get repetitive once you have unlocked everything. Bring a friend to alleviate some of that feeling. R6S is a good multiplayer shooter. It revives the type of gameplay that has been lost amidst the Battlefields, Call of Duty's, and Titanfall's of the industry. I'd like to see a deeper progression system with more customization among Operators and at least one more game mode, a 6v6 game type, on bigger maps a la Calypso Casino in Rainbow Six Vegas. The elements for an even better game are here and I hope Ubisoft continues to refine and bring Rainbow back to the upper echelon of shooters.

The game is fun and is great if you have a steady group of friends to play with but this is not traditional RB6; I thought I would be ok without the single player campaign and the squad organization/commands but without those things the spark is not there for me. It is a good online game but it is just, not, for me. I like RB6, but as it once was on my computer as a kid; I miss the traditional old school, RB6 or at least the Vegas style games.

As a fan of past R6 games, I was a little disappointed when I first of how they went about R6S. After a lot of alpha and beta testing I came to love the general idea of this game. This is a game that rewards the players who actually think. You can't go in gun blazing like COD, you can't show off you sweet macro like BF. What you can do is show off your inner Sun Tzu. Knowing that once your character dies, you can't respond till the next round makes every decision and movement critical. Push to far and risk a dangerous encounter with the opposition? Settle and box your self/teammates into a box with the objectives? Lone wolfing like Rambo? Itchy trigger fingers? This game has a lot of macro play into it. A lot of individual character tweaks; that make's all of them stand out. Certain team composition that works well together and some that doesn't . If you plan to pick this game up best be prepared for some unskilled teammates. Annoying hit box and some wonky bugs every now and then. What I recommend is getting 4 other friends together and enjoying a great shooter game that places a lot of empathize on teamwork, communication and focus. Get a mic and communicate with others if you wish to be an asset to your teammates. Please remember to not hold down the trigger fire button lol. Good luck fellow operators.

The game is fun, but doesn't have a campaign like the other Rainbow Six games, which is pretty disappointing. Seems like less content than usual. Graphics won't wow you, but are still good, as is the physics and destructible environment. Game play is fun enough and can be pretty unforgiving, which is how a Rainbow Six game should be. I'd say it's worth then $30 I paid for it, but I would have never bought for more than that.

Takes me back to my childhood, staying up late into the early morning hours playing Rainbow Six 3 with my friends on Xbox Live. This game is still great, even if you end up with a random team that doesn't have mics, it's still an enjoyable experience. Only problem right now are the servers. Some days are fine, other days it's hard to get into a game. As soon as Ubisoft fixes their server problems this will definitely be one of the best games of the year.
