Enjoyed this movie a lot. In my opinion was much better then the Angelina Jolie Tomb Raider.

This Movie is better than the Opd Tomb Raiders Alicia VIKANDER is the Perfect Lara Croft and this Movie is so Crisp and Sharp And the Sound Sounds Dynamic and Crystal Clear in the Dolby Atmos Soundtrack. :)

Intense music that immerses you and places you in the center of the action or creeps up on you leaving you in a state of suspense. The music is followed up by convincingly good acting and of course the action scenes are intense and worth the money!

Great Movie Great Action, Great Story Lara Croft is Great Loved It!

Lots of action, Alicia Vikander is Lara Croft and has the abs to show it. Great movie in 4k.

I should preface this review by saying that I am a huge fan of the recent reboot of the Tomb Raider video games upon which this new film starring Alicia Vikander is based. The three new games are fantastic and you owe it to yourself to play them. As for the movie, I thought it was overall good. Alicia Vikander is great in the role and you can tell the director made an effort in adapting the games to live-action. My only gripe, without spoiling the story, is that they strayed away from some of the supernatural and mystical elements that make the games so special and unique, and instead focus on a more grounded, real-life approach to the story when it comes to a big reveal in the third act. However, this is a fun watch and if you like films like Indiana Jones (classics!) or The Mummy (with Brendan Fraser), then you might enjoy it. If you like this movie as I do, then this 4K transfer is the best way to watch it at home. The 4K picture is good and the film comes with a bunch of special features as well.

Having played all three games, I went in with high hopes, but low expectations after seeing just how critical most "professional" (if you can call un-researched, un-qualified, rather arrogant opinion, professional) reviews have been of this movie. But, the film was SO much better than I was led to believe. It's not as big as the games. The storyline feels more tightly knit without all the exploration that you get to do in the games. And they omitted the supernatural element completely, which was a personal disappointment, but not any kind of deal breaker. Vikander did an absolutely outstanding job in the title role. I missed her big Hawaiian? friend, but I don't recall him having a huge part in the first game. Hopefully, the lackluster outing doesn't prevent them from making more, just as the games have continued, despite their mixed reviews.

5 Star Movie: I loved the movie so much I watched it over and over again. Even made my friends watch it with me. Excellent cinematography and a wonderful origin story that really captivated me. I have NEVER played any of the Tomb Raider games nor have I watched the old Tomb Raider movies with Angelina Jolie but this movie was so amazing I instantly became a Tomb Raider fan and started looking into playing the games now! Alicia Vikander's role as Lara Croft in the reboot was PERFECT. She is beautiful, talented, and I cannot wait to see her play the role of Lara Croft again if they decide to make a sequel, which I hope they do!! 4 Star Best Buy Product: I had to take one star off because of the physical product from Best Buy. The case already had a crack on it and it didn't come with a slipcover that most 4K UHD Blu-rays come with these days.

This film was not what I was expecting after seeing the 2 Jolie movies. I was floored at the serious tone the movie took. When I first saw this in the theater I walked out not liking this that much. My friend bought it and I watched again and it grew on me after that. It's not like the previous films and at the time I first saw it that was the tone I was expecting. For me this film took multiple viewings but I've come to really enjoy it.

This is a decent show that is leagues better than the original, mostly because there's actual character development and Alicia's Lara Croft actually has emotion. There's a lot of similarities in scenes with the video game, which is cool how they tie it in. Hopeful to see a better done sequel, because Alicia Vikander is a good Lara Croft, however, due to its poor performance, I'm not optimistic on it.

I really liked this movie in my opinion I thought it was better than the old Lara Croft Tomb Raider movies which had supernatural elements where as this one does not but at the same time each movie has it's own merits and is good for different reasons so it honestly just depends on which genre you like better as anybody knows tomb raider is based off the video game series

This was my first experience with a 4K Ultra HD disc. All I can say is the picture and sound quality is "out of this world." I didn't know what I was missing but look forward to purchasing other movies in this format. While this movie wasn't the best or even as good as the older Tomb Raider movies, I truly enjoyed the quality for the price.

Call it what you will... reboot, revamp... whatever. It's never going to be Angelina Jolie's Tomb Raider. I think it fairs quite well on its own. It's a great story with fun action and Alicia Vikander really brings new life into Lara Croft. I'm sad to see that the storyline will not progress, but I believe it started off strong with action, wit, and a great storyline.

The first two tomb raider movies with Angelina Jolie are great but don’t sleep on this one. Worth the purchase especially if it’s on sale.

This movie has great sound and a lot of action. The hdr is excellent, and the dolby atmos is second to none. Add this movie to your collection.

Picked this up on sale, but it only came with 4K, no blu ray or digital even though it was advertised with all three. It doesn't really affect me THAT much but I can't loan it to friends who don't have a 4K tv/player. The quality is great though, looks so good in 4K! Just make sure if you need the other formats you get them.

This is a different take on Lara Croft from the Angelina Jolie movies. Alicia Vikander give us a Lara that is damaged from the loss of her father, turning her back on her fortune. There's action throughout, but an underlying theme of the film is Lara's journey to take on her responsibilities and discovering the systemic corruption in the family business.

I was hesitant to watch this, thinking nothing & no one would do as well as Angelina. However it was highly entertaining & I kept in mind it was supposed to be a very young, unskilled but still, Lara. It was wonderful. Hope they do more of these. Our new Lara did very well. (and thank you Angela for your unsurpassable Amazonian performance. You set the bar high indeed).
