    Great Product

I've had the watch now for about 3 days. Just wanted to go over a couple features about the product that some of you may be wondering about. Heart Rate Sensor- Very accurate. Recognizes HR fast. Only does HR when exercising. No sleep or resting HR. This is supposed to change in a future update. Music- Loading music is a pain but not the worst thing I've had to do. Music playback is pretty awesome. I have a Jaybird Bluebuds X headset. Music sounds pretty good and I have yet to have any skips in playback. I am able to control the volume and skip tracks on the headset itself. Sleep- Tracks sleep pretty accurately. Not sure if it does it by you being still for a while or what but I took the watch off for about an hour and it didn't recognize this as sleep so sleep tracking has been good. Would be nice if it tracked deeper sleep but I'm fine with just knowing the amount of sleep I got. Battery Life-Been excellent so far. When using it for sleep and just steps, the battery barely goes down. Using it for music, HR, and GPS, it does go down a little bit but so far I am very impressed with battery life. I have not had to charge it yet. It's about 60% (3 days and nights (sleep) that includes a 15 minute run with GPS, HR and Music and also an hour workout with HR and music). Software- I really like the buttons and interface of the watch. Very user friendly and easy to figure out. Has a daily and weekly view for steps, calories, miles, hours of activity, and sleep. I really like the weekly view because I'm not always able to workout every day. This makes hitting my goals a lot easier because I'm able to make up for it on another day. Setup was easy and menus are cake to navigate. App/Bluetooth- This is the reason I'm giving this thing 4 stars. I have yet to be able to sync the watch to the app completely. I was able to get a partial sync once but usually it disconnects after around 13%. I have had to sync it through the website which requires me to plug the watch into the computer every time I want to look at my activities. Also, when connecting to Bluetooth earphones, make sure the earphones are on before you search for them on the watch(or else they won't connect as easy) Watch/Strap- The watch itself is very comfortable. I am not a huge fan of watches and I have had other watches in the past that are only comfortable for a short amount of time. Usually I hate wearing them while sleeping. I have not had that problem with this watch. I actually forgot I had it on a couple times. The strap is very secure due to the 3 different places it connects. This is absolutely amazing when you are working out. Even when the watch is tight on my wrist, it does not cut off blood flow (something I have had a problem with other watches and activity trackers). I am using the Large strap by the way(I'm a male, 5'10(1.78M), 190 Lbs(86.2kg), sporty build). Also something to note is that the watch is smaller than I thought it would be and this is a great thing. Big watches can be annoying when working out or even just doing everyday tasks. This one is not. Workouts- So far I have done a "Gym" and "Run" session with the watch. I have been very happy with both. The HR was constant. The GPS was on point and the music never cut out. During the run, it shows your pace, right on the main screen. Which is awesome because I usually try to keep a similar pace during the entire run. Using the buttons to go up or down will show you other metrics like calories burned, distance, and time since you started. Very easy to navigate while running. It also breaks down each mile. In the picture I uploaded, I ran a mile and a half. It shows HR, speed and pace for each specific mile. At the bottom of the picture, it shows my HR and Pace for the entire run. In the middle is the map of my run. It was just around a track but still pretty awesome. Notifications- No support for notifications yet but this is also supposed to be coming in a future update I will do my best to update this review when I have tried other activities like swimming. If you have any other questions, please comment and I will do my best to answer them. Thanks for reading!!

I looked at reviews for months in search of a great fitness watch. I ruled out the Fitbit surge after a couple of friends had sent several back for defects and reviews online were less than desirable. This I thought was the biggest competitor for me against the Spark. One of the biggest features that drew me to the Spark was the music feature. I thoroughly enjoy and appreciate this part of the watch and it works very well. Excellent for lifting because it allows me to roam without my phone and bulky armbands. All of the workout categories seem to work well while doing the activities. However some are better than others. For instance, the lifting feature is basically just heart rate and is a little inconsistent because of the movements you do during certain lifts. Same goes for stationary bike. These would be great activities to use a heart rate strap to improve accuracy and get more data. Overall I've been very pleased with this watch. I gave it four stars mainly because it lacks some detail oriented items, such as, detailed sleep data, color screen, and phone push capabilities. These were not super important to me but would have been nice touches. I would definitely recommend this watch to a friend.

Music on a watch - 500 hundred songs is plenty. Syncing with iTunes via TomTom software and connected to the charging cable is somewhat clunky. 4 Stars GPS - Works great - TomTom Sport iOS app - 4 Stars Heart Rate Monitor - Accurate - 5 Stars Battery - On long distances, GPS+HR = 5+ hours. Not nearly as long with Music - 4 Stars Durability - This watch is not falling off - 5 Stars Style - Chunky, but understated - 4 Stars Bluetooth - Can be tricky to connect to headphones. I had issues with headphones being paired to multiple devices (watch + phone) and ended up dedicating headphones to the watch.

I got this watch for Christmas (it was on my list), because I wanted a do it all fitness tracker and preferred music storage over the phone connectivity offered by other watches. Workout time is my time, so I don't answer calls, texts, or emails. Anyway, it fits well (guys-get a large). It was easy to set up, pair with my phone and wireless headphones, load music onto. After pairing and repairing though, it will not sync with the phone, and I have to connect to my computer daily. I think this is due to issues with the app that others are reporting online. Also, with my headphones, I can't stop music once it has started using the controls on the phones. Not a huge deal, but a little annoying. Outside of these problems, which will probably be solved with software updates, I really do love the watch. I haven't used the GPS yet (Brrrrr), but have used it in the gym. It does a good job monitoring heart rate and calories burned, and is compatible with the myfitness apps, which is awesome. It tracks steps, sleep, and seemingly everything else. It is waterproof, easy to use, somewhat customizable, and has really good battery life. I'm looking forward to taking it on runs and rides when it gets warmer, and seeing what it can really do.

I've had my tomtom spark cardio music for about 2 months I love it, but unfortunately the screen froze on me 2x already while I was working out, hopefully it's not a constant problem, only way to unfreeze it is to plus it in to my PC. Other than that the battery does die extremely fast I have to charge it after 2 work out sessions, and my workout sessions are usually about 1-2 hours long so it prob only last about 4 hours with gps +music +HR. Pretty disappointing if you ask me and annoying. But other than that music sounds great with my powerbeats wireless2. HR is great it's off by like 1-2 beats, I tested it out for 1 week. GPS is excellent!!! Other than the freezing part and battery life it's pretty great.

We're glad you're enjoying the watch so far! If the freezing continues, please reach out to our customer service team so they can assist you (866-486-6866) as this should not happen. Also, when using GPS, music, and heart rate functions, the battery should last up to 5 hours. Our support team will be happy to help with this as well if your watch is only lasting 4 hours. The Tom Tom Spark Cardio + Music is pretty neat. I haven't uploaded music, yet, so I cannot speak for that. I have found that viewing my heartrate is more motivating than the step count. I still use my FitBit to compete in challenges, but it isn't waterproof so my Tom Tom will be going on the standup paddleboard adventures. I wanted the waterproof and wrist heartrate monitor feature and that's why I chose the Tom Tom. I do wish it would sync with MyFitness Pal without having to export the data; however, I'm satisfied with my purchase. The app is pretty basic and the graphics are decent. You have to play with the tracker and read other's how-to's to figure somethings out, but it's pretty simple to comprehend. It would have been an added bonus to have an extra band with the initial purchase as a back up, but if this band breaks, then I'll deal at that time. Thankfully, the tracker does detach from the band to charge and charges pretty quickly.

This is a great running watch. Seems to pick up GPS quickly enough. Love the built in music and it feeds Runkeeper very easily. The only downside is the audio cues are only on a few workouts and not all of them and there are no audio progress updates (Tomtom says they are coming in a future update). It does support intervals but the are rudimentary. Steps and sleep tracking aren't a big deal to me, but seems to work as well as any other product. Pairs easily with Bluetooth headphones. Some different watch faces would be nice.

    Excellent Fitness/GPS Watch W/Music/Heart Rate

This product is excellent as a fitness/gps watch. I was in the market for a new GPS watch with built-in Heart Rate but wanted to be able to have my work-out music on the device to eliminate the cords and the extra device (MP3 player or phone) when running/hiking/working out. I tried 2 other devices, the Moto 360 sport and the Samsung Gear fit before this one and although they did more stuff like interface with the phone/messages, this device is better suited to exercising. The screen is not fancy or color but is easily legible in the sun outside as opposed to the color screens. Once you get this device updated and spend some time getting to know it's functions, it does what you need to monitor.. runs, etc and heart rate. I personally find the controls ( 4 positions of buttons below the screen around the square GPS sensor) much better and easier (as opposed to a touch screen) when in an activity! You can use the TomTom program and sync your music (even different playlists for different activities) to the watch, download, analyze, and export activity info. The mobile app for the phone is not a great one but it does do the uploads of activities to look at, etc. You must hook to a PC to get all the functions and updates since the mobile app is limited. This device does not do notifications from your phone but if exercising and you want that function, better off just finding a way to carry the phone. I, personally, do not want the interruptions when exercising. It does do a daily monitor of activity if needed but there are other choices that will do that specifically that might be a better choice. Same as "smart watch" functions, there are others that might be better for that depending on your needs. Battery life is good and goes 4-5 days when used as a watch with occasional heart rate monitor operation. Battery life will go down, of course, if using GPS, playing music, and monitoring heart rate at the same time, but is still plenty for runs/workouts. But as a Fitness/Running/GPS/Heart rate/Music onboard watch, this is as good as it gets right now.

The activity tracker is a quality product. It does not always hook up with the phone app. It on occasions gives erroneous readings. The GPS is spot on. The product is supposed to be updated by TOMTOM but as of today has yet to happen. The battery life is barely acceptable. It must be charged every 4 days. I bought the product for its specific features and they work well enough that I am satisfied.

I looked at the fit bit, the apple watch and the Tom Tom. The fit bit wasn't water resistant, the apple watch would be a good choice, but more of a watch than a training tool. The Tom tom is water resistant, holds music that will pair up Bluetooth to a head set and links with my phone so I an review my workout. I felt it was the best all the way around product for someone that wants to map their training.

I did a great deal of research before buying this device and it serves my needs perfectly. I bought it on sale at my local BB and then TT sent me a free pair of BT earbuds that work perfectly with it. My MO was to carry my phone around the gym, wear an H7 HRM strap and a pair of Bluebuds (Jaybird). When running I put the phone into a Digifit "saddle" armband. I really wanted the freedom of a watch, but I had to have good GPS, HR and BT music. The TT was the only unit available with all three. I'll say right off the bat that it is a bit clunky in places, but once you figure it out (didn't take me long, but if you are techno challenged steer clear) it is a great setup. The cloud database is very functional and the maps that you get from a run are SUPERB (it is a GPS company after all). The HRM is very accurate, but position fussy--once you get the strap adjusted it is fine and equal to the Polar H7 (I compared the data from comparable workouts). I do not use the tracking functions and have no need of phone control or messaging, etc.. The amount of data available on this watch during a workout is incredible and I really like how they do the zones. I swam with it the other day and it performed great. Battery life is more than enough for my runs and workouts. TT is very responsive and has already done a firmware update on the watch and a software update on the interface program. One final bonus, my kids had bought me a FitBit (gag) for Father’s Day not knowing that I had bought the Spark. It was win-win because they took the FitBit back and got me a bottle of Dalmore Cigar Malt instead. I am a very happy camper!

So my wife really likes that it's water proof, the user interface, and the programability options for workouts. The app isn't as good as as some other fitness watch apps, but the heart rate monitor it really good. The main thing she wishes it could do is have smartphone notifications, like other fitness tracker watches.

So I have had this watch 6 months and have used it extensively for training and running ultra marathons in South Africa. So I have taken this watch to the limits of what it can do. The Good: 1. The watch is comfortable to wear and does not interfere with racing or training. 2. The screen is clean and easy to read when on the move . 3. When using all the functions at once I have no problems linking to satellite GPS(Even overseas it tracked the race perfect in the middle of the desert), heart rate for a wrist based watch is good, music to ear phones via blue tooth has good quality with little bit skipping in and out sometimes. 4. Distance, Speed, Time, Calories etc.. are right on. 5. Over all for what they say it does "it will, and does its job" But.... The Bad...???? But Can live with 1. Only reason I took a star off this watch was due to battery life. If you have everything running on this watch, the music, HR, run tracker you will get about 4 hours MAX out of this watch. Now for most training sessions this is plenty. However, I am an ultra runner who goes for hours on end and for me that is one thing I dislike about the watch. Now turn off the HR and music and you will get a MAX of 6-7 hours from the watch. The whole reason I bought this watch was music feature and built in wrist HR monitor. So for me it was let down that the watch lasts very short period time. Over all it is a good watch, If you want a good daily tracker, waterproof, HR etc...this great watch. If you are doing long hauls and need a long lasting battery, I would look at another brand.

Does a very good job of tracking workouts, both with and without gps. Heart rate monitor provides some nice insight, step counter is accurate when out walking, but loses accuracy throughout the day with random movements and running. But this is no different than any other steps counter.

I bought this specifically because I swim. At the time I bought it most other fitness trackers were not water resistant enough for swimming. Even those which are do not track swimming well. If I was able I would have just gotten the Cardio and not the Cardio&Music. I don't use the music at all since when I swim I'm using a waterproof MP3 player. Sony has been working on the app and updating. It has gotten much less glitchy, but I wish they would work on even better tracking in water. The lap counter is better than most, but not awesome. It is not programmed to track my heart rate while I swim...annoying since that is why I wanted a heart rate monitor IN the waterproof watch. It CAN read my heart rate in the water, but the app and the activity display do not record it. The watchband could use some design attention too, or maybe just an extra inch. Because there are 3 sets of prongs to keep it secure, there ends up being a bit over an inch of overlap that is unavoidable...so very annoying because to wear it correctly I just need a few more centimeters. I found talk of an XL band, but could not find one anywhere online. Finally bought a space and chopped it up to make an extender. Even with all the minuses, I think my TomTom is pretty good and I like having it. The software was better on my old Polar Peak, but the TomTom functions better (not a touch screen which the water screwed up all the time) and easier to navigate.
