First off, this game is not for everyone. If you are looking for constant action and combat then look elsewhere as your needs will not be met here. Torment: Tides of Numenera plays almost as pick your own adventure book and provides satisfying choices to the missions you will face throughout your journey. You will be reading A LOT as 90% of the game is reading through chat boxes while talking to NPCs and your companions. However, the story, quests, and choices you make are so unique and interesting you will be wrapped around this game's finger. It has been a long time since I have played a game that has felt so unique and has allowed me to step into a world that feels completely alien. You will feel very lost and perhaps overwhelmed at the start of the game, but do not let this deter you. There are no quest markers or giant arrows pointing you where to go. You have a simple journal to remember quests and most times you must solve them by talking to other characters or figuring out the problem yourself. There are so many options and choices throughout this game, yet there are no wrong choices. Each story, quest, problem can be solved in numerous way, each yielding their own unique result. I would highly recommend this game to anyone seeking a fantastic adventure in an alien world, an old school rpg player, or anyone that enjoys having their choices yield meaningful results throughout their play through. Story: (10/10) Deep, engaging, and the choices you make can alter the game in a meaningful way. Combat: (9/10) Standard turned based combat that any RPG veteran will be familiar with. Like I said before combat is almost optional in this game depending on your playstyle, but through your playstyle you can engage in more combat. The choice is yours. Graphics: (7/10) The backgrounds and structures are gorgeous and detailed. The character models are somewhat lacking in detail. Think mid-2000's graphics. Overall: (9/10) Can't say much more as I do not wish to spoil any of the story, but this game has felt like an absolute breath of fresh air compared to recent Xbox One offerings.

This game is not for everyone, there is a lot of reading and your choices affect everything you do. Torment has an excellent story with incredible writing that makes you want to play more to find out what is going on. The combat is slow and can be confusing at first, but this game is more for the story and journey not the combat. Overall, if you enjoy reading and science fiction you will love this game.

I bought this on a whim, as I was a huge fan of the original Planescape Torment game way back when. This game still has the heart of that, and is very story heavy. Combat seems to take a backseat, while it's still a big part of the game, most seems to be your interations and responses to other characters. While there is some voice work, most of the story is read via dialogue boxes on screen. Great fun game, but lots of reading. I recommend it regardless though. :)

A good RPG with storyline and good graphics. Lighting is a little darker than I'd like.

I love the themes that this game explores, but it takes a while to fully grasp and absorb the mechanics in it. The writing is a bit dense and uneven, but it's made up for with a great soundtrack and interesting world-building.

really good game not for everyone. its turn based rpg

I was very excited for this game as I loved the original Torment game. I went in without expecting anything and was happily surprised. There is a ton of lore, many interesting characters and a lot to read. The combat isn't a focal point, but I very much enjoyed it when it was needed. A few bugs and the occasional frame rate drop did not take away much of the enjoyment.

Heavy RPG for those looking for an in-depth story. All-around great game.

I love this game. The combination of role play and sci fi add up to an amazing game.

This is a good title that will not appeal to everyone. However, I had fun with it and there is a ton to do. Worth a look!

This old school R.P.G. features an enormous amount of story content, hidden behind many many screens of reading.

Great classic style CRPG game with fantastic dialogue and soundtrack. A solid successor to Planescape: Torment.

This game is cool, didnt know it was kickstarted but hey cool little gem

This is a tough one to recommend. It's a spiritual sequel to a 15 year old game that is unlike anything else on consoles. The gameplay is very unusual, it involves talking to very, very chatty characters, listening to their stories, then deciding whether or not to help them. There is almost no action to be found, just a lot of decision making. The story is very large and confusing, and seemingly made up of 100's of short stories all woven together. If that all sounds fun to you I recommend giving it a chance. Otherwise pass. An added bonus is that buying it on disc means you'll get a ton of extra. A soundtrack CD, a map, some bonus content, and even a thank you note from the devs.

Fun game and reminds me of Baulders Gate and Icewind Dale days.. Definitely pick this up if you like rpg games.

Set a billion years in the future this isn't a game for all but if you enjoy intense story lines and never ending objectives then this is a game you'll love

If you thought about checking out this game at any point I highly suggest doing so. This edition also comes with the soundtrack as well!

Very interestingly designed and crafted. Graphics are well done but not significant. Classes to choose from are also interesting.

I really like the RPG's with a set story besides the normal D&D types. Cant wait to play it a few times.
