VERY GOOD UNIT EASY TO CREATE DVD FROM VHS OLD TAPES

Reliable work horse for burning programs to DVD & also watching DVDs. I haven't tried transfers from VHS to DVD yet, but it should be pretty intuitive after my experience with my old DVD burner.

Was able to explain to a novice user easily right out of the box. Has worked flawlessly! They are thrilled they can watch their old VHS tapes!

Was looking for a VCR to copy home movies and this made it much easier. Once in abundance, these items are hard to find.

needed replacement for our older DVD/VCR player. We haven't figured out how to record from our brand new smart tv, however, we are enjoying watching all our movies

This is a great product to use for converting your old, dusty VHS to DVD. The set up, and directions are easy to follow. The one thing you need to know is, that is DOES NOT recognize dual layer discs.

It's a good DVR for what we needed it to do, and user friendly.

This recorder has lived up to most expectations. It's difficulty is it doesn't all for 2-1/2 hour or 3 hour recordings. Only 1, 2, 4 and 8. Quality is good.

Great picture and easy to use with one button dubbing

This is a very user-friendly device to transfer video tapes to DVDs and vice-versa. Would recommend using DVD-RW discs for recording to utilize most of the DVD editing options. Like the HDMI output to watch widescreen discs, but wish it had a digital tuner or HDMI input to connect from my cable box to watch HD programs.

I know that most people have ditched their vcr,But I still like them.I use mine about 6 to 10 times per week for recording any tv shows that I need to . Hook up was easy. You can also convert your old vhs tapes to dvd. Easy to follow the on screen directions and drop down menus.

This product is perfect for me since I play DVDs and tapes. The ability to record adds the versitility I wanted. I look forward to lots of good viewing. I have also found Toshiba products to be reliable.

This could be a GREAT recorder if it would record in High Def. It is well thought out, easy to use and program.

We love it, but some movies did not record in their entirety. There is something with the speed that we must adjust. The recorded quality is great.

An easy way to transfer my VHS recordings to DVD as apposed to using 2 components. I have always been happy with Toshiba and this time is no exception.

The instructions are not very intuitive, but once it's all set up, it's a breeze and works exactly as described. Makes the creation of a DVD from old family VHS tapes very easy. The highest quality and easiest set up was just to unplug my HDMI cable from my cable box and plug it into the Toshiba device and not touch anything on my TV.

Wanted to be able to backup some online videos I purchased and, while the player works well, having a lot of trouble formatting the recording format. Also, the controls on the remote are not logically setup. But overall it does what it is supposed to do. Dubbing Video tapes is easy.
