I bought it at bestbuy just 2days ago. The price was 399,good price for the computer. Low noise when using it . It is weight light,easy to move it from here to there. Intel chips is better than the AMD at the same price. The only place that not so good is the touchpad, sometime the I lost my moving when use the touchpad. But only 399,what you can say more, good enough for the internet .

I just bought this computer today. I have spent several hours working on it, primarily to load my programs and to get familiar with the machine. I am not fond of Vista at all, primarily because commands that used to be easily accessible on XP, are buried in Vista. I have to use the search function to find them. I am sure I will adjust. And this is not a fault of the computer. I have worked primarily on desktops since their advent. Yes, that makes me old as dirt. My overall impression of the computer is very good. This model does not tout the enormous memory and hard drive space of others, but it is easily double my current desktop which is anything but full. I use my computer 90% for word processing as I am a writer. Music is my other use. I have not loaded my music on the Toshiba as yet. Like any laptop I have touched, the keyboard is taking time to get used compared to a desktop. The feel of the keys is quite comfortable and they function effortlessly. I am at a loss at to what the complaint is of one of these reviews that says the mouse pad is substandard. I am having no problems with it whatsoever, other than getting used to the sensitivity. The functionality of the pad is far superior to older laptops I have used. No, I am not a laptop connoisseur. I have done no comparison with other newer models. Additionally, the mouse left and right keys are fine. I have not yet found a management system that allows setting the sensitivity of the pad as I have found on older laptops. A word of caution: The temporary Word program included on the computer conflicted with my own Word that I installed, not allowing me access to my already purchased Office Suite. I had to uninstall my own copy, and then uninstall the temporary one that comes with the Toshiba. Once that was done, installation and functionality was smooth sailing. I suggest uninstalling all programs you think you will not use. Also be careful when loading and unloading CDs into the drive. As in other laptops, the center spindle is tight and installing and removing the CD causes the ejected drive to flex. I use a stand alone hard drive back up system which operates without a hitch on this new laptop. The clarity of the monitor is stunning and the overall feel and quality is, at first look and touch, very much more than I need. Time will tell

I bought this laptop just yesterday from Best Buy. So far it looks great with the exception of the mouse click buttons which make a sound whenever i use them.. So i am relying on the touchpad and using the tap function for my needs. I think I will get an external mouse for my regular use because I think if i keep on using the click buttons they will fall apart very soon.

This is my first laptop, and I love it! It is so much fun to use! I have already recommended it to my co-workers.
