Total wireless prepaid service is awesome. It allows me the same service as verizon. It works off of the Verizon towers and allows me to spend less and still use the best phones out there.

The activation was good. Took about a day for things to work properly and then no real issues. The price is unbeatable for the service, I don't see much difference between this and my actual Verizon service.

Some other places will have these for 1 cent less but if you can't afford the 1c then you shouldn't be looking for cellphones. TOTAL has great VZW service for a lot less. I have really good speeds and coverage almost everywhere and the places cricket would not even take or make calls. Total while their coverage is great their customer support is almost non existent. They are almost programmed to take your money even if things don't work. If you can setup and gt things going without their assistance its great, if you screw something on the setup and need their help good luck!

This is a good prepaid wireless plan. I used to have Verizon but got tired of paying a premium for their service. This provider uses Verizon towers and I haven't noticed any difference in speed and I also have more data to use.

This $1 SIM card package is necessary to begin service for Total Wireless. you will need one for each phone you bring to the plan (we set up 3 phones at once). Monthly package price depends on how many phones/lines you need -- $35/mo for 1 line (5GB data), $60/mo for 2 lines (15GB shared data), $85/mo for 3 lines (20GB shared data), $100/mo for 4 lines (25GB shared data)

Family with 3 cell phones, that had to switch to Verizon. Paying $90 total for all-we-can-use text and talk, and we share 20 GB of data. More than enough for us. Will soon be updating to a 4th family member for an estimated $15 more a month and 25 GB of shared data. https://www.totalwireless.com/why/service-plans Customer service wasn't too great during the initial setup, but now things are smooth. Please note that Total Wireless actually works in 30 day increments instead of 1 month increments.

I remember there was a 9 dollar and the 99 cent sim card. I went with the 99 cent because it is for phones originally from Verizon. I switched out the card, used the online page to switch over to total wireless, and before I realized it the service on my phone had switched over. And I was merely checking if the online was easier than calling. Granted I was already a total wirelsss customer so my info and such was already there.

Perfect, it was just what I needed and for $1.00 can't beat that. I didnt have to pay more plus wait for it to be mailed to me. I switched my iPhone from Tmobile to total wireless, I couldn't be happier. It was easy to port my number and I had minimum issues getting started. I now get all 4 signal bars in my house. I would recommend this switch to anyone who asked

I ported my phone number from Verizon while simultaneously activating a brand new iPhone. The process was fast and simple. Before powering on my iPhone I had completed the activation process on Total Wireless’ website, during which I entered the phone’s IMEI, the included SIM card number, and my Verizon account info. I never had to call either Verizon or Total Wireless. I then inserted the SIM card and powered up the iPhone. By the time I got through Apple’s introductory prompts my service was active and calls to my phone number were already ported over my new phone. Very fast and simple!

Switched from a major service provider charging $65 a month for unlimited T&T + 1 lousy gigabyte data. With super easy to set-up and use with my current droid Turbo, I get the same exact network, with the unlimited T&T, but now with 5 gigs data. Buy one of these sim activation kits for a buck and don't look back.

Only a Dollar? Are you Crazy?

Total Wireless is a GREAT service that uses VERIZON towers. It ONLY works with CDMA phones. You can buy from them or BYOP. They have a compatibility finder on their web site. This SIM may be unnecessary if a Verizon SIM is installed in your phone already. It IS a hassle to setup but it is worth the hassle. Expect to end up calling them. (I saved their number and just use it from another phone.) Be prepared with the phone's big long IMEI number, the SIM's card number and the phone number you're transfering. Set aside some time so you're not rushed. Get a cup of coffee and RELAX. It takes them a while. Just expect it. $1 dollar and a bit of hassle is worth it. I pay $95 per month for service for FOUR phones with 25 Gb of shared data with good LTE service. Is that crazy? Maybe, but it's real.

It is a cheap kit and has EVERYTHING included. After I purchased it and tried to set up my existing phone with the new SIM card, I was told that I needed to use the one that was already on my phone. I would suggest asking the tech support line first, but online on their messaging box.

I switched from Verizon Wireless to Total Wireless because I was paying $55 for talk, text and 5Gb; now I’m paying $35, saving $20 a month and same quality of phone call. I switched out the old Verizon SIM card with this new one, took less than a minute. Then spent 5 minutes to activate the phone online. Within minutes my new account with TW was activated and Verizon was deactivated. No complaints so far.
